1st off.. if you haven't already, please read this thread:

now that you knwo HOW and WHY we are up and running again... here is whats new in this version...

1st off... ONSLAUGHT !! the big bastard himself.... you guessed it... PLAYABLE !! (thus, we officially have a BRAND NEW playable character)

u'll notice that he is not on the char selection screen... why is that you ask ?? simple... he is a secret/hidden character... and in order to select him, you'll either have to keep on playing the game (until you or someone you play gets him at random) or figure out the "secret code" to use the big bastard... (if u keep on playing... i'm sure you WILL see a pattern)... just remmemba.. you can ONLY play as Onslaught in Practice mode... 1 on 1 (no tag) and 2 on 1 (tag) games... THATS IT !!!

.. and... if that wasn't enough ... the downloadable version of the game is (you guessed it) .. finally here !! :biggrin:

just... go to the main page... and after you hit the "start" button... u'll see "download" under "mirror1" ... press it... you'll get another window... click on each of the links and save EACH of the files into any directory on your hard disk... then.. just run XvsSF.exe to play... its that easy... :biggrin:

as time goes on... this version will improve... it will have resolution options... (screen re-sizing, etc) ... as well as (probably) a ton of other features...

... Sentinel has been tweaked... and so have a few other helpers and characters... (small changes such as Cyclops' hyper bar increasing faster... etc)

post any bugs in the bug section of the forum... but... unless something is really big (and is preventing you from playing the game) .. dont' expect an update for the next few weeks...

i've worked my arse' on this thing the last few days... (working 14+ hours each day on top of my fulltime job)... and i need sleep... (something that i'm not going to get since i have to wake up in a few hours and head out to work)

Try refreshing kingryu.. i had to before being able to download the newest version...

it's ok now. i've downloaded the d/l version, but it keeps crashing ???

crashing ??? re-stall shockwave... (FAQ tells you how)

if its the web version thats giving you problems... try the downloadable one... or, the other way around...

if you can't login... give it an hour than try again... if that still doesn't work, create a new account with the same login.. and if THAT doesn't work... email xvssf@cyberfuturism.com

all this SHOULD have been posted in the "bugs" section of the forum... so, please stay on topic in this thread from this point on... :biggrin:

U have to download them all in the same directory and then download the game or it won't work.......

Since I'm too lazy to check for myself (and would rather sit around playing with Onslaught all day)... can anyone confirm this??

BTW, TMyApp: Did you change something that affects the download speed? 'cause I've never downloaded it in 10-15 minutes before... And it sure beats the hell outa 2 hrs. waiting for it to load... :biggrin:

for me it's faster then the online version........it took me like 1-2 min........the online version takes me like 4 min..... the only thing is that I still can't create or log into my account

im quite impressed with the downloadable version... i dont have to wait 10 seconds for it to load anymore.. (thats way too long for me.. i guess im impatient).. its loaded as soon as i open it... which is awesome..

in 1 on 1, there is almost no lag against anyone anymore.. my screen doesnt completly freeze anymore.. (maybe once out of 15 - 20 games) and tag is alot better, lag wise...

in my 13 months of playing, this has to be the best step toward a lag free time.. i cant say anything bad about it so far..

Man, 2 hours just for the game to load?? Man you must really want to play if you wait that long.

Loading saved cache... 6 seconds.
Loading a new version... 2 hrs.
Trying to load an empty cache after being kicked off multiple times... 3.5 hrs.
Loading an empty cache 3 times in one day... 6 hrs.

Over 1000 games played in the game... timeless.


There's some things time can't be waste...

For everything else, there's that loading bar... :biggrin:
