well... the loading screen has most of this info (and/or i mentioned it on the forum b4) but, here is a list of things u can expect from XvsSF this summer :biggrin:

1: in the next week or two, we will start the vote on the new character... (u'll be able to chose from almost every Marvel and SF char in the vs games... u will really have to see the list to believe it) ... no rules for this one... whichever char gets the most votes, WILL be implemented next :biggrin:

2: Destination Weapon-X: ... all u get is scraps of info from me, and, it will pretty much stay this way :biggrin: ... the mods know what it is, but i'll be damned if they'll tell... know this however... DWX will be about 3 times the size of NOTS... and u will never (ever) guess on what/how-big it will really be :biggrin: ... this brings us to the 3rd point...

3: DWX Chronicles: all summer... they will be posted in the loading screen of the game, and the forum... these will tell a story (and give away a LOT of clues) of DWX... if u'r smart... and u spend the time, extra hints/prizes will be given out as well... the Chronicles will be posted every 2 weeks or so... starting... ooh... l8te this month :biggrin:

.. thats it for the "big" news... however, the old things that made this game great will still be around.... bugs will be fixed every few weeks (expect an update this weekend, fixing a LOT/most of the Cyclops release bugs... ie: optic sweep) ... private tournaments will be held... and official prizes WILL be given out... there are also about 100 new features/ideas on my to-do list... so expect each and every one of them implemented in between the "big" events :biggrin:

next month, on the 7th... it will be one year since the game went live... what can u expect? who knows... but if u liked all that u've seen so far, stick around... u wont' regret the "things to come"... :biggrin:

Hmm...I uh, am going to, mail you...yeah....

guess of what it is:

1 - wolverine get's weapon X (remember the image on senshuk that tells something like:"could it be..." and the image is showing wolverine getting his claws in an x)

2 - we get another version of the game (everytimes there is a thing like that the game gets in a higher version number like what happends in nots 0.4a)

3 - we get another net-code ! lag will diminish a lots. (remember tmyapp said it was cause of lag that weaponX wasn't there so it must mean he found a way to reduce the lag)

4 - option saves implementation (hey we can dream)

5 - new ranking system (not that i care, but it would be great)

6 - AI difficulty settings (we asked for it since NOTS)

7 - implementation of an ALPHA mode (TMyApp himself wanted it)

8 - new helpers, new stages, new musics, new BUGS !

9 - new chars (whoever was in the poll)

10 - arcade mode with stroy lines (we can still dream about things like that)

and lots more...

yes, ur list sounds quite nice, but there's one very good clue that TMyApp slipped a little while back regarding your #9 on the list (at least in my opinion). I 4get where it was, but he did say he had huge plans for Venom. Now, whether that means he'll be a character, or whether there will be the alpha-beta-gamma helper options for him or whatever, it is a very interesting clue. P.S. - The alpha mode idea for DWX is a good theory! I hope ur right!

As for weapon X..... hmm.... Well, I have a good feeling it has to do with wolverine, because weapon x is some type of computer system in the x-men universe...

I hope it has to do with reducing the lag in the game, or speeding up the game a little :D

*Typical response*: I hop it haz to do withe fixing lag and adding more characters. My favorite's Ken, but Akuma would be nice. I also like Gambit, but cyclopse was a bad choice for next character. Howd he wine a vot? I'd also like to see that loading screen fixed because it's too slow and alwayz takes at least 3 minutes. And the topscores mad better to that it has experience points and plays just like a rpg!

WEAPON X = super of wolverine where a does a combo and finish the opponent off with his claw forming a big X on the screen !

Think about it guys. The sysop says DWX will be 3 times the size of NOTS. 3 time i repeat. I don't think anyone could've guessed that sentinel would've been added on the roster.Bare all this in mind, and i assume the sysops is secretly working on a new character at this very moment?? The question is who? The most likely must most certainly be Sabretooth. The event is entitled WeaponX after all.(special move of sabretooth's) I recall awhile ago the sysops promising us that indeed Wolverine will become competitive. Perhaps thats the goal for DWX. Leading into an intense rivalry between wolvie and sabre. Think about it the games been using storylines recently. Light restored by the saviour Cyclops. Restoring order from Sentinel. So i think more storylines are to be continued.

With Sabretooth added we're equal with NOTS. DWX supposedly being a bigger event. So this is where the guess comes into play. August the 7th. The games 1 year anniversary. Come on something big has gotta happen. I've recently read some forum history. As we all know the game began lag free. Then with the addition of new characters lag was created. Then followed periods of lag free weekends promised by the sysops i think. I don't think theres been a lag free week for the good part of several months. So i believe as a reward to all the veterans who stuck to this game we will once again have the odd lag free week. Just the once maybe. A thank you to all the vets, remembering the good old days.

So now DWX should be twice as big as NOTS. I'm going for a wildguess. New stages, new music, new helpers. and perhaps an upgrade to practice mode. Ryu, chun, wolvie, sabre, cyclops being included as AI's.


OMG, i just remembered. When i returned to the game following the release of tag mode. New helpers were promised. I remember spotting Sagat (1 of my fav chars). Just wondering why he was not implemented. Sorry off topic.

the images we all saw were cyclops,ryu,sentinel were blasting the wolverine,chunli,sagat team is to be implemented but people just seemed to forgot that picture...i sure didn't, and i was hoping for the day it would be reality !

the other picture i remember is this one, and that is the one were wolverine puts his hand in front then the claws come out (practicaly doing his all most wanted move... WEAPON X)

sabertooth has that move too so i could guess the same as jenson, sabertooth being a secret char being added just to balance wolverine with an opponent he can spare with !

lol I'm so glad they will be fixing that glitch with cyclops' optic sweep. I'm a chun li person so I tend to jump around alot and that glitch just doesn't help. anyway, why do they have to make such a big deal out of boring old wolverine :p well that's my opinion anyway. Well I'm just waiting to see what happens :thumbsup:

whatever......but the one year anniversary of the game is also coming up..........and thats when good ol selvin might come back.......

I don't know exactly what this is all about and such, but if anyone reads comics... Wolverine IS Weapon X. So yeah, this thing is going to deal with Wolvie.

Weapon X is wolverines super move, like Karma said, wolverine dashes to you, does like 10 hit combo, then ends with a X slash.... the move out-prioritizes just about anything, if you do a shinkuu hadouken, then wolvie does he weapon X, wolverine will hit ryu with weapon X.... no projectile can stand up against weapon X...

hmm.. what happens when u do a weapon x and a ragin demon @ the same time?? :dozingoff:
