i too hate them for bringing this site down, but this no reason to say they were bad by doing so. because let's be realistic here. mails won't save this site, i doubt anything will except if tmyapp actually redo the whle chars so they may be original, owned only by him !

OK, they wan't $$ right? How about this idea, we suggest that we use this place for promoting ground FOR marvel with various updates and news about marvel products and such and such throughout the g ame and site, like when we're waiting for it to connect or load, or when you're waiting for the other guy to choose their player. I know this may sound like a bad idea to some, but i'm willing to tolerate it if it'll save the place. SO by doing this, we advertise for FREE. And i'm sure there are LOTS of people who come here and will see the promotions, thus, putting some more mula in Marvel's hands.

What do you think? A business proposition? Because I do agree with Karma, they're not going to do jak unless theres something in it for them, am I correct?

Hey TmyApp, I am extremely sorry about what happened.. I know this is very heartbreaking not just to you but to all whom played and contributed for this site..

I understand how it feels to lose the chance of developing your potential to the fullest degree in relation with the site.. but no worries.. there's absolutely no solution in retreiving the permission to getting the site running again and persuading the marvel people..

Thanks for all your contribution anyway TmyApp.. you were a good and very versatile friend :) with a creative mind.. I really admired your dedicated concentration in the development of the site and I truly enjoyed it.. I could never admit I played a better site such as yours friend.. It was exciting, diversive and I got the chance to make good friends and learn people across the world.. I fully support and encourage the development of your next site (if you plan to do so).. otherwise stay alright!

there HAS to be a way to make this work. if theres not a loophole there has to be some way to convince marvel not to do this. why couldnt they just switch it over to their site, devolop it more with the creators here and have a pay type thing? oh, and for people who downloaded the site, does it still work or are the servers long gone? ... this truly sucks, iv known about this for a few years as i saw it on TechTV around x-mas. oh well..

This sucks I cant belive it I thought xmen vs streetfighter was gonna last forever. I thought marvel already knew about this site and it was totally legit. Guess I was wrong but still the copyright and the bottom of the main page said that all the characters were marvel not tmyapp's so I dont understand why they would want to sue him and cause the site to be shut down. This site was benificial to them not threatening; but I see whats happenning the marvel company has gotten to big to care about what the fans think now. Yeah I understand now sense the huge amount of success they've gotten in making movies like X2, Spiderman and The Hulk they've gotten so big and bad now they think they dont need the fans anymore; and I think that is very sad on there part. Oh well I still belive we can do something about this if all of us can send an email to marvel stating why we think this site shouldnt be shut down. Personally, I doubt everybody's hopes of retreiving the site.. it is gone for good! Do you really believe Marvel would reconsider to a single person? Even with the entire fans begging right now, TMyApp is the only one responsible for the abililty of the site..

PS: TMyApp, why don't you just forget about xmvssf and make a different site such as SF Alpha 3 online or something.. ??

A few days ago we have received a letter from Eli Bard, a senior litigation attorney at Marvel Enterprises Inc. "demanding" removal of all and any Marvel intellectual property as well as any reference to Marvel from this website.

A copy of this letter can be found here.

After trying repeatedly to contact Marvel as well as their licensing department in hopes of finding some and/or any possible solution which would allow this site to continue to function under any circumstances, we were given a blunt "not interested" response.

Because of this, we have no other choice by to simply comply with Marvel Enterprises.

Whatever Marvel related content that was provided on this site by its loyal fans (simply as a tribute to Marvel's work) will no longer be found here.

While we encourage our users to contact Marvel themselves and express how the public views their actions to shut down this a number of other fan sites around the internet, it is doubtful that projectx.cyberfuturism.com will ever be up again.

In closing, we would like to thank all those who have supported us over the years and enjoyed the free content provided by this site.

hmm.. perhaps if tmyapp goes to court and claims the site is a just a demo site for the actual site ...a demo for those who want to buy the site for there systems but then they might ask if hes a legal salesmen for marvel....argg....not easy most likely hes going to let the months pay for the server to run out ...any other way just might become to much of a hasle, also i think that it would be way easier to just create new characters and new storys which alot in this forum are willing to do, now the only question is when will tmyapp come back he has not reponded at all to none of the ideas in the forum which does make it harder for the site to even exist if we do not communicate.
