Well, anything could of happened, its not like I didn't beat Nferno, Professor, Hulk, Koopsta etc before. I beat every player considered elite back then, expect for Tarken. Tarken had that red sentinel that was the poop back then, I was amazed every time I saw it fly across whole the screen. I only fought Tarken 3 times, two of those times I was experimenting with chun-li (Handicap, but it was fun =/), and the other was after the ToC2. They made up this rule where I had to beat Tarken to recieve my blue Ryu that was supposed to be the reward for winning. When I finally fought him, I was pissed and exhaunted and played half ass'd, because I just had beaten Zing 10 times in a row to prove I deserved the title, and then I had to fight Tarken to get my reward, only because some people got mad that I won, including xmvsst (I think he switched to Feat Tetsuo or something and became the best ever? but thats another story, If you know whats this is about please tell me.). Anyway, I thought that was funny because before the tournament we(me and xmvsst) were training together, and we had some great close fights. He won 3 and I won 2, but he didn't seem to complain then. I decided I was gonna stop playing after all of that, I didn't feel I needed to deal with all that over some poopty game.

Tarken and I have different recollection of the events, he says I trashed talk before the fight, but thats not how I remember it. I didn't have the energy to do all that, I was too dissapionted in the xmvst community and was on my way to quiting. I told him good luck before the fight and good game after. I tried to be as friendly as possible, because I did respect him back then. but I feel he was on some superiority poop when I read his story of ToC2. but he does tell a good story, I have to admit. =/

Even after all that, I didn't actually completely quit until 2v2 came out. I wanted to give it a second chance because I had some rememberable moments fighting the best, (You know when the fight is so good that your hands are shaking afterwards and you know that it was intense). I lost that feeling after 2v2 came out. And it didn't help when I would go to a server and try to get a quick 1v1(RyuvsRyu) on, and no one would accept for a half an hour. I swear I would still probably be playing if it were just chun-li ryu and wolve. The game became too much about who is the cheapest than who had the most skill, in my opinion.

The first ever tourney was Necro's tournament which only had like 9 people joined which really manontherun, you confuse me.. you got to refresh my brain right now.. i thought Lordcyris was the one with the Blue Ryu.. not tarkan... i think tarkan had another color ryu... but i do remember that red sentinel that used to run around the screen.. that was dangerous...then ewalk came out with his Ryu drunken Brawl i was gonna join but i didnt even learn the hadoken yet...

that toc wasnt that big... i like toc 1 better... it had a nice tournament site.. i can still picture it... and the tournament was always set up nicely... zing79 would send emails for your next matchup.. zing79 was a hardworker in toc 1.... my fights were really good.. if anything i was one of the quickest learners in this game...when i first joined in sept. 2001 DXZero was ranked one.... i only knew how to do basic punches and kiks... i hadnt learned any supers... my first ever fight was against baller... he beat the hell out of me.. i saw all those supers flying back and forth at me i was like *damn..without learning how to do a super i am never gonna win a match* so i kept asking over and over if someone would please teach me the controls to do a super.. and lil biotches like ramziel would spam to me over and over... calling me ####ie.. he used to beat me all the time (of course i didnt learn the hadoken) then finally a player called 2good4u told me the controls.. the next day i completely forgot what he told me to do... i felt like an idiot... then finally tarkanx just told me the controls.. tarkanx used to be a rank hunter back in the day LOL... i finally learned it and my RECORD was horrible.. i had only 10 wins and like 50+losses... i started training by beating up BARNEY in practice mode... then when i went up to start fighting i started beating people one by one... everyday i got better and better... and people would ask me *whats ur real nick* they thought i just came out of nowhere.. i ended up in pretty decent rank around 18-23's --- thats good enough for a new user like myself especially with the amount of talent there was back then... also THE HADOKEN USED TO CANCEL THE SHINKUU.. (which means if youthrough a hadoken before they throw the shinku, the hadoken will keep going through the shinkuu *with the shinkuu still hitting u* untill it hit the other person and cancel the shinkuu) there was also lots of cheapass people that would use the OLD cheap punch to death trick.. which is u can press down and hold and just keep pressing the punch button and u can kill the person in like 15-20 secs... tmyapp fixed that.. now when u low punch the person low punching keeps backing up...some good fighter i cant get enough of is pamalio, nosoul4evr, lordcyris, leftyfb, tarkanx, token, and tidus2k2

as LancerPX, i joined one of those clans before senshukentaikai called xXsomebodyXx army... i had some kool members like umj, jr, etc..

Tarkan had a red colored Ryu and Red Sentinel. My reward for ToC2 was supposed to be Blue Ryu and I forgot what the helper was. It wouldn't be the same blue as Lodrcyris I would think, but even so, around that time Lordcyris barely played. I think he disappeared or was very busy.

I saw a thread about ToC3 some time back. I remember someone saying Fear Tetsuo became the best and I saw Tarkan agree and congradulate him. Can someone link it to me, if you know what I'm talking about.

i think now its harder to make big tournaments like zing79 used to.. alot of people back in the day were so excited to hear that a big tournament is going on.. so they would join... i remember lordcyris was gonna make a tag tournament but it never happened... lordcyris was not as prepared for a tournament as he was suppose to.. now adays people go to tourneys and just forget that they are in a tourney.. anyways most people like to chat for some reason.. its pretty weird... its like the most they enjoy sfo/xvssf is to chat.. not to play the game..
