Please use grammar, and your missing the whole point. Yes I know they have their own lives, but marriage symbolizes the man owning the woman. Sure the woman can do things even when she is married, but it symbolizes that the man owns the woman. Is there a point for marriage? No! I know most of you girls want to get married(j00 wAnT dAt pUrttY dR322 dAt c02t 1,000 dollars, waste of time.)

And how the heck did this change from marriage again?Well,from my opinion,marriage should only be an option if you like every single thing about your partner and every ambition.And I still don`t see why you need rings or the female changing her last names.What`s wrong with boys changing their last names to the girls or just keep their names.Actually,marriage is only optional if the pair believe they want to feel okay instead of embarrassed that they share the house and children.Practically,it seems kind of like a waste of money,time,and space.I see nothing wrong with staying together without marriage.

I'm not saying the man is better than the woman in everyway, I'm saying in marriage, the man owns the woman, but that still doesn't mean the man is better than the woman. I for one think that they are all equal at everything, but then again, the animal habitat sort of proves it.

spider = female dominant

You see, animal habitat's can change.... but ssince we are way smarter than the animals, we can then clearly see that we are all equal.

I think Tarkan is trying to say that Marrige is useless no matter if ur in love or not in love. Well oviously Tarkan is not a religious person, he dosent follow traditional Customs that many people seem to have developed over the Centuries.

I think that marrige is all in a person opinion, either i want to get married or i dont ever want to get married.

Yeah its true, you can Be in Love and not get married. But why not get married? Maybe you've noticed or not by this isnt the 1600's, We are aware of problems in the world. Maybe thats why ur debating the whole marrige thing.

Some people see marrige as a Religious thing, some people see it as a Love thing, some people see it as owning a woman or some people just want to get some. When i saw this topic and the first thing that poped into my head is Love and Religion. Whats so bad about Getting married? I bet in a couple of years Tarkan will probably be married. I cant garantee that for sure because im not sure how strongly he believes in his Views on marrige.

If u dont get married and live with ur GF and have kids dosent the mother have to take care more of the baby those First months? Dosnt the Dad have to work so he can take care of the mother and the baby those first months that the baby was born? Dont you have to share responsibilities on house work, taking care of Jr., Paying the bills, Garden work and all sorts of stuff?

Sounds pretty much like ur married even tho ur not. You dont have to get married its true, but gettting married is just one way to show that ur going to be with her, that u have to asume ur responsibility, that youve matured, that u respect her, and that you are so in love with person that u are willing to show it by getting married.

Whats going to happen when your child is 4 or 5 and tells you "dad, why didnt u marry mommy? is it cause u dont love her?" and you say "Well son, its because getting married is a waste of time and money and getting married is just a way of owning a woman" do u think that ur son is going to understand that? Hes going to think that you just dont care about him our his mother.

So i dont knwo about you guys but im getting married. I have a 2 year old boy and i just want him to grow up in a loving home. Im not married and thats not working for me, so ive made my decition.

Of course, but marriage = man owning the woman. That(what you said) does not symbolize the man owning the woman.

Marriage doesnt show anything. You can marry soemone, and then within 3 months divorce. Or you can marry someone only for their money. Marriage does not equal love. Do gorillas get married? do spiders? They don't get married, they just bang eachother, and make babies, that's it.

People are trying to get so caught up with the program, besides, if I ever have a child(which seems not likely at this moment), I'll just say whatever you said. If the child is literate, the child will understand.
