It was around summer 03 that this all came about..

I remember going to the library for some school work or something like that, and i finised my work quickly, and i was just messing around in paint, trying to create some wallpapers..i was on the net trying to find cool beat em up chars i like eg, mk, sf and

I discovered

Times have passed and having read some of the "histories" of old ammusing and sometimes, legendary players, I'll take a whip at composing a semi auto-bio of blanka09's stay at Project-X

Just like a host of other old players, I discovered this game in mid 2002 on a gaming website called Arcadepod. At that time, I had just finished my spur in high school at 15 years old... so next obviously was college. However, some factors would hamper my immediate procedure into the world that awaited me.. so most of my gnawing days was spent online searching and learning.

It was at that time I spotted XvsSF on Arcadepod. Like any other gaming fanatic, the thought of playing XvsSF on the web against thousands of other people around the globe seemed mind boggling but there it was right in front of me. At that time, Chun li was supposed to be the latest character... with the NOTs just around the corner. As you can tell, I wasn't too into the events, so my timeline is... um... how do you say, sucky XD

Unfortunately, I wasn't soo interested in the "story" behind each fight I went into. All I wanted to do is learn how to release 5 hadoukens in the air before landing with my ever growing skills with Ryu. So I created a host of other names... some of which never got recognized and one that has become... (like Dan Hibiki) my online alter ego... blanka09 :biggrin:

Then times passed, and I was a regular coming into the servers to do nothing but fight. If memory serves well, it was ooscanno server (forgive my spelling *cough*) that I had spent most of my boring time at home waiting for my spell at college to being... looking and searching for opponents. I was of course a guy of few words.. who would rather fight a hundred battles and have a word or 6 to the lot of them. "gg" ... and that was all... curse my saddistic nature.

At the brink of 2003, I sorta "grew up" and just before I became a freshman at college, my interest in the "background" activities that kept this game intact began to rise. I was more interested in the things that happened behind the scenes than just the fights themselves... and so in the month of February, my online persona made it's way to the forum... in the name of blanka09. Charming... I would presume :biggrin:

Back then, I would read more and ask questions. I wasn't much of a "contributor" ... or a "problem solver" going through the Members Help Section or doing anything special. All I did was look into the General Comments and Strategies and look for ways to make my game a whole lot better :biggrin:

Now if I'm correct, this was about the time Spiderman came as a Christmas present from TMyApp. Never before and never again would we see so much bitching at the raw pwnage of a character than we had experienced from Spiderman (that is of course.. until Sakura came along :biggrin: ) ... and I got quite "familiar" with the character. It has since then become my trademark "marquee" so to say.

Things went quite quickly at that point... and as time passed I began to make an name for myself not as a high ranking community member, but as a bad arse fighter XD ... of course another semi alter ego called bugs02 showed his face... but that's a story for another time.

Then came June 2003... and the story that would change the lives of a lot of online communists and digimon monsters.

The Dream is DEAD!

That was probably the saddest moment for any fan of this game. It was like the end... wait, it WAS the end. And as we mourned for the good ol' days and the things that would have been, TMyApp didn't waste anytime in putting down together plans that would resurrect his 2 year old (at that time) dream back to the online world.

Then of course, in October 2003, Street Fighter Online was born... with the newest character Akuma.

At that point, my interest for the game beyond the game increased... and I started asking more inquisitive questions as to how the game ran. Then of course, I got to know who and what the phenomenom known as TMyApp was about... as well as other legendary wombats like KidKrazyshit, Dark Masta, Nferno666, NoSoul4evr, 2000warrrior (even though I hadn't known him too well back then), iTALY, SolidSnake76, Fortune, SSJKarma, king-rat, HAOHMARU2, Doomtrain (always had me close in Ryu vs Ryu... good lad), Saijin_Ryu, pip99, vordulmega, Dark Guardian, Playazas, Digital_Fighter, Resident Evil and a host of other members who had made names for themselves one way or the other in this twilight zone of SFO.

It was after this learning process that the blanka09 you've all come to know, love, hate, despise, idolize (... scary O_o) and poke was born. Game wise, I tried to be keep in top shape... became a regular at the forum and also did a host of other things.

The rest is history... um... no.. the future and the present mixed together with a plate of fries and a shake of milk.

Hopefully, more sense is made out of what is seen above than what is percieved from the mind. Other things I would have added and so many events I would have drawn a lot of attention to with this mini bio... but for the sake of time... I would probably save for another time. And to all who have witnessed the gradual maturity of SFO, we can all come together and agree on one thing and one general rule.
