Karma I was just throwing in how he looks younger. Had nothing to do with the head band after that.

Ryu should have a red headband, he looks better with it. And if Alpha is before SF2... and Ryu has a white headband.. that means he went from red to white to red... because before he was wearing any headband, Ken hooked him up (taken from the animated movie)

where have you saw the ALPHA series saying it was before the SF2 story ?

because the alpha series is what the characters evolved into after all the SF2 events !

so basically RYU passed from RED to WHITE and that's all !

I liked the idea of Ken giving that head band to Ryu. It made the characters come alive. Every time you played the game and you looked at his head band you never wondered why he had it. In your head you knew were it came from! I just hate the fact that when a character gets big they always have to try to change him up, make him different.

I feel exactly the same way, Wind. All of the character development they created in the movie when to nothing.

As kids Ryu and Ken are training together.

And at this time Ryu is weakier than ken.

kid ken does some sorta attack that knocks kid Ryu down some temple steps.

kid Ken notices that kid Ryu's head is bleeding.....and he uses his very own ripped shirt head band to wrap Ryu's wound.

Ryu was suppose to keep the headband in respect for his friendship for ken.

That's nice, pip99, you have such a good memory.

Here is what I will say on behalf of Capcom in their defense... Alpha takes place before Street Fighter 2... maybe they were still kind've training? But even so, Ryu wasn't wearing a white headband before Ken gave him the red one. In Street Fighter III, Ryu has his red headband so it's not like Capcom forgot... just not following up on their movie, I guess.

yeah, but it was white originally. I don't like the hole idea of a red head band, because it doesn't give that ryu feeling right guys? L8... :buttrock:

i dont see why your complaining o.o its just colors and clother ryu can change design any time.... ask the creators O O
