they were this goth band, 2boys 2girls ( originally i think) the leading singer (billy corgan) died later of a crack overdose. some of ther best songs (everlasting gaze, zero, rat in a cage) show some of their frustration about ppl (directed to preps i think) if you r interested i suggest checking out their Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness album.
