Hmmm...You guys need to get your selves an MTG rule book...."He" needs it, more than you do by the sounds of things.

You are correct in your ruling on how the card works.
If the card is "removed from game", then you do not get it back to your hand.
If the card is "put into your graveyard", then the card does go back to your hand.

...you can always look the rules up on the net too.
But get yourselves a rule book for sure. It is the best thing to have ring side while dueling it out for dominance of the table.
If there is an arguement, or dispute on how a card operates..you just look it up...play things the way the rules say to, and carry on the game.

If your cousin cant handle the idea that someone elses strategy/deck/card is superior, to any effect he can muster/dish out...then it may be a good idea for him to find a different game to play...or...Go get more cards.

yu gi oh is easier in magic u have to put down those i think field card to summon a monster and yah life poinst is 20, so confusing ???

what the hell... yu gi oh, easier !
if any one has a monster stronger then you you can't even compete with him until you can pull a monster stronger then him.

you can't put a monster 5 level and above without sacrifincing a certain umber of moster on the field but everytimes you put one your opponent destroys it ! and unlike the TV SHOW we don't get the cards we need for our strategie, the thing is, can you even have a strategie in yugioh ?

MAGIC, you got a cost, and unless your opponents plays cardas that get rid of the lands you have, which it is rare to have that in a deck, then you sure to be able to make monsters come out. believe me MAGIC is way simpler !

as for NOSOUL: yeah, but i have downloaded the 8edition rule book on the homepage of wizards. it doesn't really do anything much, but i am not a beginners, but far from being an expert !

just that we're still learning which is something important in those card games !

anyway... thanks to your help guys if i ever need answers again, i'll know who to talk to !

yu gi oh is easy if your monster is weak thier are magic and traps to help your monster and to prove it in magic its so confusing reading the dumb cards and thier is alot of cards in magic making it long and boring :angryfire:

are you trying to tell me there aren't many cards and that they all are well explained ?

i hope not, cause its far from well explained and its far from having not so many cards !

MAGICS = about 3000
YU GI OH = more then a 1000 and still rising !

guess there is a big difference, but who cares, having a choice of cards is what makes it fun !
as for YU GI OH... sorry, i have cards in my JOEY DECK that are used for somethings, but when i read the card, sorry it just didn't made sense, so i checked on the net and blam, what's writen on the card is false cause KONAMI suddetnly changed the card doing to make sure it still goes with the rest of the new cards !

at least, in magic, they ADD new CARDS, but they never changed the old ones and the old ones are still the good to use, while in yugioh, the later cards are all way better then old ones !

at least monster wise, sorry, i tryed YUGIOH, i learned it, at least i tryed. i searched the net fo rit so i can understand it more, i have sought to learn it by all means, yet i still can't understand even the basics, cause even what's writen in the RULE BOOK that came with the DECK i bought is not even explaining it rigth !

so say what you want, MAGIC rules over all other card games !

you say 20 point of life is confusing but 8000 isn't ?
