as always...my day isnt complete without you contradicting me :(

PC is IBM compatible, Apple isn't, and the term PC isn't applied to it formally. Joe is the only one that plays the game on a Mackintosh? Strange.. I seem to remember that this game isn't compatible with that..

Panda_Man 04-16-2003 05:08 PM

hey ssj... wut if the virus is installed to your comp... you know if you uninstall something a vital app to is installed permantly into your pc/mac period!

SSJKarma 04-16-2003 09:25 PM

first: bloodpack... didn't contradicted you, rather i enlightened you by answering to your question... as the fact that he doesn't have a PC but a MAC !

second: SCORPONOK... have i not said that we don't see him lot in the chat rooms ? if yes then it hink i mentionned that MAC have lots problems playing the game, which is BTW, like JAVA and is suppoose to work on all machines ! only have 1 guess as to why it doesn't work tho... that's DIRECTX which MACs aren't using !

THIRD: PANDA_MAN... when you don't know what a computer is, you don't go arguing with a technician !

again here is the descriptioln of a BOOT DISK and the two primal tool of a technician who has to have to bring back a computer to its when bought stage !

*FORMAT.COM*
a little software used to bring erase every single bytes on a hard drive and completely removes the OS (windows, linux, msdos and the likes)

basically, nothing is there anymore and the computer doesn't even start anymore !

*FDISK*
little tool that is used to make PARTITIONS on a harddrive and make him be read and detectable by the computer !

see... nothing and i mean nothing... is still there after a FORMAT !
no software can survive that little program... cause to survive the program would have to be kept in RAM... which is the only memory that can be read/writen in... but when you shut down the computer for about 5 minutes and more... that memory will not be even existing anymore, since no JUICE is in the computer anymore !

example:
a computer is only working in binaries.. 1 and 0 ... 1 means electricity is passing thru, 0 means no electricity is passing thru. so basically, when there is no electricity in the computer, there can't be anything working in there or even existing in there !

exception's are... removable media, such as HARD DRIVES which uses a physical disk to literally burn things so they can be kept intact while the computer is turned off !

so yeah, i know what i'm talking about when i say that VIRUSes will never survive when you bring a disk back to zero !

if you don't like FORMAT and think it still is unliable... then go LOW LEVEL FORMAT the drive ! which is a tool made by the company to bring their drives into the state they were in when you bought it !

BTW, LOW LEVEL FORMAT can be used to bring back a DRIVE that was HFS+ (apple file system) transformed !
which means, an APPLE DRIVE if was initially made for a PC, can be be seen again by a PC... even if formatted in HFS+ !

(i actually tryed this one... because i had to put the drive in a PC)

now shut it up PANDA !
