Yeah i have a problem, and it seems like i'm the only one with it...well anyways, when i pick a character (anywhere practice or game) i can move around and choose one, but when i hit a key to select the character, ..the game freezes and theres nobody on the screen and in the background is a big pic of ryu, even if i didnt pick him...so i'm stuck

montalvo: yes... u need to make sure the latest version of Shockwave is installed for the downloadable version to work...

Gothic: we'll see if the Esc thing can be changed in the future...

Nferno666: if anything, the d/l version should be FASTER than the shockwave/web ver.. but.. if its not, just.. use the web one then :biggrin:

marvel911: u'r missing some/all of the .cct files (if u'r getting that "freezing" problem with the Downloadable version of the game)... if the problem happens with the online/web version, make SURE to say "yes" to all of the pop-up boxes (if you get any) to grant the shockwave movie full access to all of the servers... also, clear u'r cache, and make SURE the browser security settings allow shockwave to access the web.. etc (FAQ has some info on this)... if the downloadable version doesn't work, try the web... if web causes problems... get the d/l version....

rest of u: if you have something like Norton Personal Firewall .. or Zone Alarm installed, you need to make sure XvsSF.exe is given access in those programs...

i wrote the /fps in the chat window while i was fighting and i got 35.100 but still it lagged.. ;)

I am having problems with both the downloadable version and the normal version.

For the downloadable version-I made sure that i had all of the .cct files in one folder and have the XvsSF.exe too. When i click on the .exe file the game starts. It brings me to the login/password screen. When i try to login it just says "trying to authenticate." I cant login so i have to play as a "Player"


For the Normal version off of the project x homepage-It only loads half way then it stops loading. I let it load for 2 hours and it just stayed the same.

Oh and yes i have the updated version of shockwave and cleared my cache.

Someone help me :(

yeah every1 having that problem with the D/L version and i got the same thing with the web one..it loads half way so it only continues loading after i hit the ok button LOL tmy looks like you made tarks old helper playable

My problem is that when I play on the downloadable version after I join a game or when I go to one on one with somebody or practice it goes all black and nothing happens.

Edit: Sorry Tmy. The problem is fixed. I forgot to download the sound.cct.

I having the same proble with the download version.

Alot of people are having this problem.I think its because of something about being behind a firewall.When I find out what a firewall is exactly then maybe Ill be able to log in on the d/l version. ???

hey, i was just playing and i was chun-li and i only got hit a few times with no supers and when my partner tagged me it said danger and then my whole life bar went down and i died.
also, i got hit while i was in the air by a guile's yellow things. they didnt even reach me. is this like a glitch or something? ???
