They are not viruses...but they could contain virus. Spyware is much worst then Adware. Spyware...spys on you. It could have a keylogger and "spy" on every little thing you type, such as password, and credit card numbers. ya i saw and add for trendmicro in scientific american.... it looks like a good antivirus.... so after you get rid of your virus get a different antivirus
