Now that akuma is in, there is someone 2 stand against e ryu but i dont think this is very good news for the vip's but i'm sure they will have some extra powerful version of him like shin or cyber akuma.

i'm not sayin they don't deserve it, but saying that those vip members who depend on that "strong guy" to win their fights are not real fighters. and about the money thing, it is because people kept saying that they "pay" for E.Ryu.

Anyway as i was saying Dans Dragon punch too his screwed his hadouken can't go over 4 cm accros the screen All shotokaners can atleast to a fire ball and a dragon punch Ken has the Best One Shoryu Ken while Akuma got the hurricane kick his feet go on lighting and akuma's dark hadou is also good Yes Ryu got the hadouken but akuma kind of did as well and akuma kind of got kens uppercuts thts why people say Akuma is the best Because he has one out of ken and ryu's supers In Dark form Akuma can do a shinku only it burns the player and when done at the right time and correctly can do more damage but he can only do it on the ground another reason while akuma raises against the rest of the shotos yes the raging demon thing but he can do zakuu in the air or what ever you call it so yes akuma has fire balls and everything

RYU, KEN learning formt heir masters GOUKEN !
AKUMA = brother of GOUKEN (akuma actually killed his brother)
sakura, never learned anything, sh'es doing it by herself looking at ryu and immitating her !
DAN HIBIKI tryed to learn the basics so he can kick sagat's ass, which he actually did !

RYU = master of the hadoken
KEN = master of the shoryuken
SAKURA = better range of moves from both
AKUMA = ryu and ken put together !
DAN = is very own style based on shotokan

i must say that if you think dan is that weak then that's because you are stupid !
GADOUKEN = 4cm yeah, but packs a lot more power then ryu's hadoken !
GOURYUKEN = same as any dragon punch, except he does it in place... better anti-air then the actual shoryuken of ryu !
THREE KICK in the air = sorry can't remember the real name, its actually way better the tatsu of ryu and ken united ! it has long range, is coming out faster and is more relyable on in close range fights !

also, it can be done in mid air( i know the tatsu too) but the tatsu goes down while dan three kicks can actually be used as air-combo adder ! which means its used in his combo unlike ryu and ken who it isn't use in !

so in the nutshell, if you know how to play with dan, he is even better then ryu or ken !


as for sakura, she too have more usefull moves then her counterparts...
example... her shoryuken, goes forward for 4 hits, then jumps and do it for 3 more !
the aura while she does actually blocks the hadokens... making it a great offensive moves !

her tatsu... is more of an anti air and is really better the the real tatsu !

see, if you never saw those differences between the shoto's in the VS series... then you clearly never played them for the skill, just for the charcaters themselves without even knowing their history and moves !

Akuma... meh oh well at least the non Vips have a reasonable chance now against E Ryu, but at the same time they're probably gonna use him to death like the VIPS do with E Ryu... ??? Don't try to deny it guys! I've yet to fight a VIP who hasn't used him, you only have yourselves to blame for Akuma winning the vote.

Ken should've won.. he may use the same style but he practised his moves in a different way meaning his skill is different to Ryu and Akuma's.

Ken's hadoken is more defensive then offensive for a start, which means you have to get in closer, but boy it's worth it... who needs 'keep away' tatics?! Not Ken... :laughlong:

I do have a thing for Ken I won't deny that, but you have to admit people wanting either E Ryu or Akuma now have the added motivation to also want him to be able to counteract VIPs, just look at the votes there's only like about 12 votes between the top two! This could have easily be influnced by this factor which is why I place the vote blame on VIPs (hell if I was in a bad mood when I voted I would've picked Akuma for that very same reason)

Should be interesting though, I've always wondered how high priority akumas moves would be against E Ryu... and not forgetting maybe now we can get something called (shock horror! ) collition detection working properly with them on that air super fireball and the raging demon, which might I add was a big factor on why E Ryu is soo powerful because of it currently being...

Dan would suck on this game, why?

Gadouken: a little lag at start up, and the fireball only goes barely a distance away from his hands. He'll get flat up owned by fireballers

Koryuken: As we know in this game, anti-airs suck, and Dan is no exception. If Ryu's is bad, if Cyke's is bad, if Wolverine's is mediocre to bad, if Spider Man's is mediocre to bad, if Cunli's is horrible, then Dan might jus as well be on the same line as Chunli(or even below it)

Dankyaku: It COULD be good for traveling to get to the other side, but it's not good for dealign damage. It'll probably be a slightly better Cyclone Kick, and that move itsself is bad enough

Dan picture autograph thing: heh.....


Shinkuu Gadouken: If gadouken is plain bad, then Shikuu Gadouken must be slightly better, which doesn't cut the cheese at all.

Koryueppa: For this to connect, you have to be really lucky, or hella smart to connect this a lot.

Hisho Buraiken: same as Koryueppa


Overall, for Dan to do damage, he has to do it up close, and with the very poor variety of up close moves, Dan is a lame duck. I like Dan, he's my 8th favorite SF character, but having him as a character would be put it.... waste of time.

Probably the worst Character to be picked yet, i mean..... Come on, AKUMA?!?! Its like members will be getting VIP Scraps, no one wants VIP Scraps. What ive been hearing so far is... "People picked Akuma to stop ERYU", oh yeah..... like that makes any sense.

How can Akuma stop eryu if there almost exacly the same? There will be no stopping of nothing, NONE. Whats the point on having Akuma because of Eryu? VIP members are still going to get something stronger than Akuma.

What we needed is something different, something that we havent got a hand of yet. Like Cammy, or ANYTHING that isnt a Shotokan.

Another way to look at this is that they wanted those moves. Looking at Vips they saw how cool it was and plus the RD(raging demon) They really wanted those moves, alot of players cant become Vips on thier own reason. And alot of players really want a kool character with the RD move *coughAkumacough* Plus his air hyper is a killer move but later on the one to win be Gambit, Ken, or Warmachine. Im not pissed about this I really dont care aslong as we have a new guy, The game gets dull with the same character hell, I just want more I rather have Juggernaunt win so we can get him quick sam with Sabortooth and ken.

Why didn't you guys think of Zangief... his super move could hurt people more then stupid raging demon, thats why I voted for Zang also... he's a pretty hard to master in this game cause of lag and you know :) but his moves owns every style including shoto...

Which goes back to my point about the programming... that's gotta be one of the worst programmed moves in the game!

One word springs to mind guys... Reta... *stops himself* ok I'll calm down, the programming isn't quite that bad but not far from it, come on guys it can't be that hard! The reason the raging demon was so hard to excute in the games was because of it's power. It is down to finding the right moment to use it, not just knowing the button combination like in this 'game'. If you got it wrong your opponent would counter and you would have wasted a lv3 super... harsh but the way it's meant to be god dammit! :angryfire:

The bottom line? make it so when ERyu or Akuma float into the opponent THEN IT KICKS IN! and also give the move priority over all basic moves and some of the specials but not assists until the move connects! Otherwise that takes almost all the skill out of knowing when to use the raging demon...

I know I probably p155 you guys off everytime I rant like this... but I do so for good reason, I for one want this game to be quality, and I haven't even mentioned about the air shinku hadoken (forgets proper name). You see what I'm getting at... next time you wanna jugde the quality of this game, compare it with an online arcade emulator, lag doesn't seem to have stopped them... ???
