uh.... not really
xbox does not rival the PS2 in games at all. getting close tho. PS2 has stuff like: final fantasy 10 GTA3 and Vice City Kingdom Hearts A whole lot of anime games which aren't avaliable for GC or XBox. Tekken 4 Guilty Gear XX Devil May Cry 2 Onimusha 2 Final Fantasy X2 KOF 2002 Thievieus Racconaus GC and XBox have a lot of differen't good games too, but PS2 have more of them. |
- GTA3 & vice CITY are coming down to XBOX too ! after the EXCLUSIVE which is about 3 or 4 months
thats about all i know but i sure i heard the others aswell ! well, except for those FF which is ALWAYS EXCLUSIVES to SONY ! but be sure that all the games you mentionned, if they are not made by SONY then THEY WILL be ported to other console ! it has been like that from the start... and the fact SONY got lots more games on PS2 is simply the fact that they neglected the bugs and putted the console on the shelves as fast as they could, which occasionned the big lots of games that came out ! but other then that, almost all games that are seen on PS2 came out on XBOX,GC too ! as for the joystick... did you know nintendo got the CONVERTER that able you to plug your PS pad into the gamecube ? for the games, FF SUCKS ! its kinda stupid to make all those story when you always know what will be going on before it happens ! even RPGs for other console are starting to be like that ! we need NEW ENGINES now, not just other games that use the very same engine as other games ! MAX PAYNE was something new when it came out ! now, if only the games would have NEW ENGINES now games would be fun ! as for nintendo realeasing always the same games over and over ! don't you think SONY has been doing the same with QUAKE 3 REVOLUTION, FINAL FANTASY, CRASH BANDICOOT and the likes of these games ? now tell me SONY is better then nintendo in that case ! ALL console port their BEST SELLERS first, after they came up with the other kind of games ! |
ssjkarma we understand that you can play mario 64 all your life I never get board at all even though you already finished the game 50 times! But we ps2 people we want new sh.it new shi.t (ps2 is flipen coming at these other crap systems like eminem lol "there's more games to make, keep makin' new ####, produce hits to break the monotony.." face iit ps 2 is the best) we don't care a about all the graphics and power a system has we care about the content of the games and want to see the sequel for the games sometime before we die (nintendo never made a sequel for mario 64 which really pissed may be off and they won't for mario sunshine either and to add to that they come out with one new game a month no make it a year thats what really bugs me with them) .

I think that all 3 systems are very good.
GameCube= Metroid Prime, Resident Evil 0 PS2= Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, The Sims XBox= The soon to come Halo 2, Mech Assult All the systems have their possibilities. i flippin don't look about graphics ! 1 - gameplay 2 - gameplay 3 - gameplay 4 - gameplay 5 - STORY 6 - graphics 7 - controls 8 - sounds 9 - bugs 10 - fun factor thats how i look for good games ! PS2 always giving that #### called gameplay ? no way men, all they are doing are making games that have completely nothing new, and that has already been seen many times before ! its just like STAR WARS BATTLEGROUND, they simply changed the graphics so it looks like star wars, but in fact that was the very same old AGE OF EMPIRE 2. the very same has been made to almost all the games ! DEVIL MAY CRY... just like my friend said (its very easy, and those combo are like too damn easy to pull ripping out the fun of the game) MGS 2 ... well, my friend played it, and it took him 5 hours to finish it, he didn't even found a challenge in there ! at least the game has some sort of SEMI new things like SLEEPING DARTS and the fact you can actually destroy everything ! just like i said, the games as of todays never really improved on anything. you change the story to one game, change some graphics and then VOILA, you think the game is the best around, when in fact it is the very same games as any other FPS game ! just tell me what it is the fun of just going like mad firing at random with a rocket launcher and hoping to frag more then the other ? let me answer you, no fun at all. thats the very same at any other games i've played, ever wondered why we were playing a lot when we were young and now we like play 5 games at the same times for about only 1 hours and then we have enough ? it is not because we grew up like much said, it is because the games don't give us what they did 10 years ago ! i rather play my old SNES games then play those bastard games that are made of everything that has been seen for almost 5 years now ! compare games that are on XBOX, GC, PS2, you'll find that in fact they are all EXACTLY the same ! they got their games, but if i gotta choose a system for his games, i might as well buy a new computer, cause their games are all playable on that ! so i say, choose the damn system for what it is, not for what its worth ! PS2 is what you like, FINE, but give credit to other console cause they are DAMN GOOD TOO ! talking to you is like talking to my friend who said XBOX sucked, even before its release ! he said it just because he hated MICROSOFT. same to gamecube just cause "IT WAS FOR KIDS !" those kind of thinking don't talk much about a console ! again, give credits were it is due, XBOX rocks in INTERNET PLAYABILITY and is way more powerfull in that place then your pitifull PS2 who always delayed the INTERNET KIT for any reason ! the best thing you found IN the XBOX that you don't in any console, is the HD which able you to SAVE without memory cards ! i think your PS2 doesn't even have that feature ! take that you stupid ! |

stop saying stuff like, "oh i'm pretty sure that in the future......" "i think PS2 doesn't" PROOF! where did you get the info that the GTA series is coming to the xbox? never heard of it before. PROOF! saying stuff like "oh i remember seeing it in a magazine before" is not good enough. you might have saw wrong or you might not remember as accurately. real PROOF is needed to back up your opinions. and that stuff about gameplay/graphics is personal opinion. the gameplay might not be difficult at all for you and your friend, but there are a lot of people in this world who aren't good at games. they made it easy so that the people who suck can enjoy the game too. p.s. PS2 has an add-on hard drive as well, it's 40GB, 30GB bigger than Xbox's HD |

to have 40gb HD in a CONSOLE ! 8.4gb is like HIGH already, with that kind of HD you don't have to buy another memory card ! oh yeah that's right, PEOPLE WANT TO DOWNLOAD THINGS, like movies or games ! guess what, BUY A DAMN COMPUTER for that ! so just explain me, why is it good for to have 40gb in a system where the save already take less then a mb on a memory card ? the biggest game will like take 2mb on that 40gb ! and you said it yourself, ADDONS ! XBOX comes with it, the best is, it is 229,99$ and have already everything you need to actually play and save ! PS2 like comes with a single joystick for the same price, you still have to buy the memory cards, the HD if you want it, and the games ! which makes the XBOX the cheapest of the two ! there is still that INTERNET CRAP they try to sell for the PS2 that XBOX already had from the beginning ! now lets talk about the dvd player ! yes, you have to buy the kit for the xbox to work with, but guess what, you still have to buy the remote control to be able to listen the movie on your PS2, cause people don't like the joypad to control the movie ! and the xbox DVD is like 2x better then the one on PS2 ! all those reasons are making me think, XBOX vs PS2... i would buy a good system with good games, on which i can see good movies. the best choice is still XBOX. or the damn computer. for my part i would go with the computer. xbox has lots of good games, they have the gameplay, they have the story and they have the graphics, what do you want more ? |
PS2 has Squaresoft and is the home of Final Fantasy. GCN also has Square, but it won't get any big FF's, except Crystal Chronicles which is only for GCN.
PS2 is the system with the BEST, BEST, BEST, BEST, RPG's. GCN has pretty good multi-player / adventure games . . . XboX has . . . well . . . . . meh. I don't care about the hardware, I care about the games. So for that, I think Xbox is the worst, GCN is okay, and PS2 kicks all. |

That adds a legitimate element to the Xbox that the PS2 and the GC pale in comparison to. My ratings of the consoles: EVEN!!! If I had all three consoles (I have 2 of the 3; PS2 and Xbox), I would give them all equal play time just like I do between the two. It gets me mad when I hear this "Xbox sucks because it has a big controller (bullcrap), Gamecube has kiddie games (bullcrap), PS2 lacks in graphics, therefore gameplay (bullcrap). Don't you guys think it is stupid to nitpick so much about the systems? They are just games people! I will just as easily back-up one console against the other, but I will never favor one unless it has a clear and complete advantage over all. From now on, I would like to hear why you chose your side, just like vegetam has been saying all along. |
