God Geese? That's news to me. I guess I need to get better at the game, seeing as I have never been challenged by him. I was talking about just plain, ordinary Geese. You never said you were talking about his super... so who would the other secret character be? God Rugal?

That's just wrong, though, making it so that Shin Gouki isn't the ultimate fighter. SNK doesn't deserve to have the strongest character in the game.

Just on a side note, I played as Ryo in training mode, and now I see the resemblance between Ryo and Dan Hibiki.

Okay you know how well you play determines how strong the boss is. Basically just do the same thing you did to get Shin Akuma and then pray that the computer chooses God Geese. Oops I don't know where I was at, I mean it is God Rugal, not God Geese, sorry about that. Well still just pray that the computer chooses Shin Akuma instead of God Rugal.

Uh, Selvin, it doesn't work. GameFAQs doesn't let you directly link to the FAQ sheets (at least, that's what it says).

I went back and played CvSNK2 some more, and determined that the groove that you use is what determines your boss that you battle. I used the C-groove (Capcom grooves) and encountered God Rugal (SNK character). I used my Ex-2 groove (Below SNK grooves) and encountered Shin Gouki (Capcom character). Anyways, God Rugal was a royal wimp. Using Ken, I kicked his butt all around the stage like he wasn't controlled by anyone or anything; the poor loser didn't know what hit him. What a disappointment. I'll take Shin Gouki over God Rugal for a challenging training partner anyday. Too bad I don't have a digital camera, or I'd post the massacre of God Rugal.

Anyways, I suppose Rugal took Gouki's powers somehow, becoming God Rugal (once again, I can't read Japanese). I say this because he has the teleport and the Shun Goku Satsu (15-hit, deals as much damage as the 33-hit of Shin Gouki). Also, God Rugal doesn't toss Shin Gouki aside at the start of the battle, he tosses normal Gouki (next time you see it, note the red hair; Shin Gouki has white). Shin Gouki could kick God Rugal's butt no problem.

Rock? I only use a couple of the SNK characters, and he isn't one of them. steventhebol said that he saw some American versions in Funcoland and Walmart.

Selvin, just wondering... who on earth do you use when you fight God Rugal?? I have more trouble beating Dan Hibiki (CPU for him in the game is bad) than beating God Rugal.

My favorite teams:
Dan/Hibiki/Ryo
Ken/Ryu/Gouki
Ken/Dark Ryu/Gouki
Hoahmaru/Nakoruru/Hibiki (all have weapons)
Ryo/Ryu/Dark Ryu
Ryo/Dan/Ryu
Shin Gouki/Gouki/Dark Ryu (all dark powers)

Note the general emphasis on Shotokan-related martial arts.

umm Rock is in the game, i saw it in one of my magazines... he has the same moves as Geese too.. but i dont know if the names different in the Jap. version

I know he's in the game with the same name (Vega, M. Bison, and Balrog's names are the only different names), seeing as I've kicked his butt before. I just don't use him. SNK-wise, I stick to Ryo, Terry, Hoahmaru, Nakoruru, and Hibiki.

Well I just will tell you my starter and that is why I have so much trouble with God Rugal... Dhalsim.

Use a fast fighter instead. Dhalsim is slow as ####, and would get stomped by God Rugal. I suggest Ken, Ryu, Gouki, Dark Ryu, or Nakoruru. Don't use Shin Gouki against him unless you are really good with him (Shin Gouki takes serious damage).

If using Dark Ryu, Gouki, or Shin Gouki, counter-teleport when God Rugal teleports. Roll (or dodge) when God Rugal uses the Shun Goku Satsu or his dashing-slam-you-into-the-wall super (I made up that name myself). For Gouki/Shin Gouki, use the aerial fireballs each time you jump (forwards or backwards). The best super move for each character against God Rugal is:

Ken: Shoryu Reppa
Ryu: Metsu Shoryuken (?)
Dark Ryu: Shinkuu (?) Tatsunamisenpuukyakuu
Gouki: Messatsu Go Shoryu
Shin Gouki: That drop down from above thing
Nakoruru: That hawk attack thing where it dives at him

Basically, quick is the key, and Dhalsim doesn't cut it.

If you speak of quickness, why is Ryu up there?? He is slower then Ken and Ken is barely as fast as Akuma. BTW Ryu has the Shin Shoryuken in the game I think.
