cable? he's a marvel character right? what are some of his attacks? never seen him in fighting game before.

yes it is an xmen (son of cyclops coming from the future, he cannot shoot the beam from his eye since he got a virus that disable it)

tell me if im wrong, wasn't his world ruled by apocalypse ? i know all the original xmen are all dead in that future !

he's in MvsC2 !
since cable has always fought with a gun his all around moves are done with his viper canon !

his supers are good and controllable (up/down)
his special can be too, but i ain't good with him so
i cannot say he's best choice but i can say this...

he's not too bad for a gun fighter !

well like tarkan said ken owns ryu.don't get me wrong i'm one of the biggest ryu fans you'll find.but ke is faster than ryu,and has a better selection of moves.if played right ryu can beat ken.

This topic should be close because most of you suck at the arcade version of xmen vs. street fighter. I played over 6 people here (lban,darkvirus,itsunfair, etc..) in the arcade, and i beat them all with just STORM and Dhalsim. see, it doesn't matter which character can do what, or how many specials they have, or how fast they are. its all about YOU. how good you are..how well you use your character's assets. BTW, Storm owns everyone! right, lban? lol

MVC2.... would you like to fight me in the arcade game online? Because I'm bored, and I wanna play people who have some confidence. (Btw, what ARE the APEX tourneys?) But I have to disagree with Tarkan on the Ken thing. Ken doesn't own Ryu. They're both on a war about that. Ryu and Ken a different in few ways. Ryu, unlike Ken, was able to improve his Haduken to multiple levels. Though, he lacks the ability to use the Shoryuken to its fullest strength. Ken spent his time improving his Shoryuken move to multiple levels, which is why Capcom made his Hypers Shoryuken related. Though, Ken fell behind Ryu in the Haduken place. Ryu kept the traditional Spinning Kick thing (don't remember the name X.x)but he placed strength as the base for the attack. Ken, on the other hand, placed speed into it. In the vs. series, Ken now goes Diagnally when doing the spinning kick on the ground, because the speed of his kicks carries him off the ground and towards the enemy. Ryu can only go a smaller distance then Ken, but packs so much power into it, that the distance never matters. But, unlike Ken, Ryu kept all of his main specials and they formed into hypers. He now has Shinku Tatumaki Shunpu Kyaku(sp?), Shinku Haduken, and Shin horyuuken. He was able to become the all round type for hypers, where as Ken could only go as far as Shipuu Jiryu-Kyaku, Shoryu-Reppa, and Shinryuu Ken. Either way, Ryu and Ken are both well-rounded to their backgrounds. Anywhom, the only other reason I have for Sakura being added(and I feel happy for saying this now) is because she is the only other Shotokan other than Ryu and Akuma that can go evil, and use the raging demon attack (though, hers has a different name). That's one of my reasons for Sakura.

Actually storyline wise yes Ryu would beat Ken, but in gameplay, Ken beats Ryu, the only game Ryu was better than Ken in is SF2 Turbo: HF, and that's it.

lets look at their supers:

Ken:

shoryueppa: great combo move, and could be cancelled which adds more for combos, this move is hard to dodge so it has to be blocked, but if it's blocked, and ken is coming down, Ken is then vulnerable, unless you're that cheap as f*ck AI!!!!

Shinryuken: Ken's best super art IMO, and going by statistics. in Alpha games, you can't block anti airs, and this super art is an exception. never jump against Ken in any SF3 game if he has super art number 2, because you'll know he'll do shinryuken, especially high level ken players, they'l do a crouching HP, then cancel into a shinryuken which is deadly.

Shippu Jinrai Kyaku: This super art is okay, if it's blocked, it'll stop, but then your vulnerable since your standing there with your leg bended. It can be tricky since you'll never expect it coming. This super art does low damage though

why am I saying super art? Anyways:

Ryu:

Shinkuu Hadouken: the basic fireball super, this super art is that good to play keep away with, but who would choose a super art to play keep away?(Akuma's messatsu Gou Hadou). This fireball can easily be dodged, or parried, but in a VS game, it's hard to dodge filling up the whole screen, not good to use this in a SF game, but good to use this in a VS game(Marvel, not SNK).

Shin Shoryuken: Ryu's most damaging super art, this super art can turn the tables around in an all out match, it's hard to connect, but do a crouching HP, and then cancel to a shinshoryuken, and you'll beat your opponent. too bad this move is level 3, if this misses, say good bye to your super art. The alpha 3 version looks pitiful(metsu shoryuken), but if your at the right distance, then you'll do a shin shoryuken.

Shinkuu Tatsumaki Senpuu Kyaku: this super move is great, opponents in alpha games can't air block it, the damage is just great, and it gets the opponents trapped, but if you do it far away from the oppoinent, the opponent will do something to counter that(shinkuu hadouken)

Denjin Hadouken: SF3 super art, this move has to be charged, the good thing about this move is that it's unblockable. the more its charged, the faster, and more powerful it is. opponents won't expect it coming.

the spin kick is called tatsumaki senpuu kyaku.

APEX tourneys are tourneys where people in america compete in MvC2, or CvS2(currently). APEX tourneys divides America into 6(or 7 I think) regions. And you get points for how you do in each tourney match, very competitive.

If you're not cheezing ppl with low punches in this game, you're flying off the screen (and when I say off, I mean you could super jump after her and she'd STILL be off the screen) 'till your super meters full so that you can cheeze your opponent with supers in the real thing.

How good you are? Give me a break. I'll give you props for being......creative......*cough*......but I don't think skill has anything to do with your strategy, lol.

Your greatest "asset" as you put it is your cheapness, and you're right, Storm most definitely rules that department.

For those who want to know. i fought DXroll in the arcade, and i have to admit, i didn't expect her to beat me, nor get a winning streak. Well, we played marvel vs street fighter (no storm), which i dont play a lot of.. i usually play xmen vs street figher. anyways. she did use saukura very well, and she played a very defensive game. the thing about saukura is that after she does her running upper cut.. she jumps back so she wont be countered. so after i blocked it. i couldn't hit her... lol. good tactic.. But the funny thing about the game we played was that she was very hard to beat. Unlike lban, darkvirus, itsunfair.. they dont hardly block. or even block down.and all i had to do to beat them was to wait until they wasted their super, then do a down jab, uppercut, with a basic combo.. but dxroll had a defensive strategy (a good one), where she would stay in the corner blocking down.. when i was the aggressive. therefore, i couldn't do the down jab, uppercut, then combo routine.
Anyways, i have more respect for her now, since she showed me that she is also good on here and the arcade version. And i even said to her that i know she can beat the people i play in the arcade, that includes iban, darkvirus, itsunfair. and a whole lot others. man u guys suck compared to her. lol
btw, Hulk's ground super (in close range) takes off over 61 percent life. :( thats one reason why i lost..
