Seafood is fish duh...Fish is not considered a meat for some reason. That why vegitarians can eat it and still be called a vegiterian.

potato is considered to be in the bread group....

And Tomato is a fruit......because anything with seeds that can be eatten is a fruit...

Those definitions were from my notes... The Tomato is a fruit because of the fact that it has seeds, vegetables doesn't have seeds... - None that I can think of :biggrin:...

Although the tomato isn't grown from a tree doesn't mean that its a vegetable. But many people consider the Tomato a vegetable because of the fact of how it is eaten.

The tomato isn't eaten like other fruits such as an apple (Tomato isn't held in the hand and you just bite it). -I for one think thats sick...

Tomato = Fruit
Potato = Vegetable

vegetables dont have seeds.. duh! cuz veggies are leaves, and plant stems. things like carrots are "considered"veggies but they are roots as well. a fruit is a fruit, cus its a fruit. a fruit is the product of the pollination of a flower. the purpose of a fruit is to allow animals to eat the fruit thus the seeds so that they can be spread around. less competition for resources.
