Anyone here ever played Rival school:Project Justice

I have Rival schools(both discs for playstation), I would've bought Project Justice, but I didn't have a Dreamcast at the time, now it's not there anymore.

MvC2 for PS2 and X-box is coming out in november in North America in November. It might even have online play!

Tarkan: are you sure about that? Because I haven't heard anything about it in any magazines or anything. If you ask me, that was stupid on Capcom's part licensing some of their best games exclusively to Sega.

Anyways, from what I understand, MVC2 already has netplay in Japan, so they better damn well give us something. I'm tired of Japan getting all the cool sh*t.

Yeah there have been some news, and articles that it'll have online play. I bet the reason why Capcom made exclusive games for Sega was because of the console itsself.
[*]The N64 couldn't produce 3D graphics
[*]The playstation had barely any RAM, which Capcom games are used for(thats why you saw at Marvel vs Capcom 1 on 1 instead of a 2 on 2), another useless reason was because playstation was for 3D graphics, so it couldn't port 2D games well, you'd see all these jaggies, and distorted characters.
[*]The Saturn was dead, but was the best system that Capcom liked because of it's high RAM, and could make games in 2D well
[*]The Dreamcast had so much RAM(twice as much as the PS2 does I think), it can port 2D games easily, even with the boomerang controller, it was the best system to port games. The games released when the dreamcast was had problems.

Now the Playstation 2, and X-box, and Game Cube are getting the games.

My dream is to have xmen vs streetfighter revised to an arcade perfect game for the ps2 and have that online. have anyone here played any games online for the ps2? i know the modem is out now.

Speaking of Rival schools, that game was pretty damn tight. it really surprized me that it wasn't in anyway like the tekken style of fighting, where you are automatically pulled to your opponent into hitting range. I always feel like i dont have enough room or distance between my opponent and me. also, as for as i know, rival school the first 3 d fighting game that actually have aircombos and launchers like xmen vs streetfighter...

Now, why didn't the street fighter ex genre include some of that?it would have been more popular and more successful. i didnt really like the ex version because it was more like playing alpha. i think it would have been a better game if they made it like rival schools. and it would have brought alot of ppl who like 2d games into the 3d games. cuz when people think of 3d games they think of tekken.
3d games should be more like rival school, instead of tekken base fightingg games, or even more pathetic, virtual fighter, and doa.
But the exception is soul calibur. it is a very well made game and is a great mixture between rival schools and tekken.What i like about is that when i play it, i use the same mental strategy and tactics i do when play xmen vs street fighter.
what i also like about soul calibur is their 3d environment. unlike tekken where all they did was put a long looping picture in the background and tried to trick us it was a 3d one. lol. but only thing i dont like about soul calibur is out of the ring.. a lot of ppl who suck likes to resort to that
Man, i hope they dont start adding cheap infinity combos. that will just ruin the game, it'll ruin any game. The only thing i wish they would add is air combos, but it will be only limited to 5 or 6 hits.

i did give you an answer to your question. its just not the one you were expecting. And the reason why this thread gets alot of replies is because this topic is actually interesting, with people voicing their own opinions intelligently, and not filled with newbies, or people who resort to personal attacks and flaming them.

MvC2 and CvS2.

MvC2 had very easy AI even if I set the difficulty to it's highest(which I didn't like). The game wasn't bad, but it didn't have very good music.

CvS2 is the opposite. Bison,Geese,Akuma and Rugal(and their super versions) got the SNK boss syndrome(SNK bosses are known to be as cheap as Cable. CvS2 are just as cheap)

That's what keeps me from beating Boss attack and All survival(Both include E. Ryu and Orochi Iori to the mix) and getting the extra options...

Hey never heard MVSC2 but i think it wll good cuz i have MVSC1 and it cool so i think in 2 their will be all the charather i vote for MVSC2

I saw this topic on the first page and I figured it was much much newer than that.

lol, what do you mean you beat it? i beat it like 1000 times. How are you cheap with cable? all you do if hp? if you think thats cheap, think about ahvbx3, thats instant kill with cable.


mvc1- game was broken as hell! vemon and war machine owned the rest

mvc2- i like this the most, lots of cahrs and variety. Flashy effects 3 on 3. Game has more depth because of the various combos and assists. Magnus/storm/sent are too godly though, if you are really good and pick them with a decent team, youll win. I always rom inf, sent fast fly.

if you guys dont know what i mean, its okay, since ive played competetion in the chinatown fair here in NYC
