Hey I am 2001 when i stated playing this game. but i was new and I dunno what is forum mean so I didnt post at forum cuz i dunno how to cuz i was new.

Well ive been here since 03 same here never took iterest in looking at tha forum didnt really pay attention to it. ???

just needed to state that even though if my word don't mean much i think that dark masta out of his own pride should find it out of his ass to close his dark knights because that the stupidest thing next to ikari warriors... i'm not spamming im just stating that what he did could have turned out great if it was actually his clan.. but its not. it would have been ok if you revived it and got dmx to be the leader again..i tried to do that but see supercalo never came back.. so then i took responsibility of missfits... just like pip did when i left.. but you knew that dmx was here but you still acted selfish and made dark knights all to yourself when you know it wasnt..

In my opinion ... your actually the stupidest thing that happened to clans.. but things change in the future i guess

Dominican: There were a few people that fought for rank in the old days, it was around the 2nd archive, when MegaPower21 was destroying every ####ie that he/she could fight. MegaPower denied challenges from many players ranked below him/her that were on the top 50 rank, and would constantly pester me and Nferno to challenge him/her, once we became rank 1.

After the 2nd archive, it became worse as there were more people fighting for rank, and today, you see what impact Megapower21 has had on the community.

ok how many people besides ####saibot, omnislasher aka mcbeth, and megapower also fought ####ies daily for rank..

im sorry but megapower is not here playing anymore.. so it isnt much of an impact.. if you ask anyone right now in the game and mention any of those 4 names underlined they will not even know who the hell you are talking about..

people become cheap because they want to.. not because they saw someone else do it... and back then there was never any chat/talk about speedgear or any other program of that sort...

I have been here since late 2002 and my old name was Vash I think and we started having alot of ####s coming in about that time and I killed all of them.

Ok now not all the new People play for rank...... well i dont.... when i first started playing this game it was for Characters (Trying to get those wins when your a #### is actually kinda fun), then after i played trying to find a character i was comfortable with. Once i found my fav character i started training..... and then when i was getting good i fought some of those top rankers and realized they sucked......... at that point i was thinking "everyone sucks at this game if its that ez to rank". Then i faught RyusRevenge. He wooped me. I started to think he was the best player in the game.....but then i faught coolkilla, ryusinvasion, and doomtrain....... Right then i knew i wasnt even close to the top.... From then on i cared only bout being the best(in this game of course:laugh:) ... im not saying i am the best but like...you know. Anyways i had like 2 more of those moments i thought i was best....... and 2 more time i found someone 1000000 times better then me..

O oppps lol sorry for giving you my whole "sfo history"..... anyways there was like a 2 day span i cared bout rank but the rest was for fun and being the best =/..

anyways why dont you "vets" just try playing again..... it might be boring for you to play ####s, so maybe you should get the contacts of ppl that are challenges and vets and tell them to come play with you...... whenever im on i only see like 2 or 3 people actually worth playing..... maybe if youu start playing more other vets will come back too....

disagree... mainly because in 2001 I was never *THE ONE TO BEAT* type of person.. it was a struggle for a person like me to get in the top 20... Now I can go for rank 1 whenever I liked to.. I come to the game now and then people target me down..

THE *NEW GENERATION* isnt as good.. and if people complain about lag right now.. then i would like to see them play the game in 2001.. they would think every game is just plain LAG..

Also we don't even have one elite fighter.. Before their would be an elite fighter on every archive..

It was either TarkanX, Zing79, Airlock, fear-tetsuo, and it ended with Nferno666.. now nferno barely even plays..

another thing to mention.. most members of this *generation* are vips.. a vip member barely has to TRY to win a game.. that is why i dont even use vip.. i like the challenge..

and ANOTHER THING! people in top ranks love tag... so they just use their little variables and crossovers against other users and some even start games in level 2.. TAG DOESNT TAKE SKILL.. imagine what a *new generation* fighter can do using both vip and tag..

What ever happened to the classic 1 vs 1 non tag? its all gone.. the only way i fight 1 on 1 non tag is if i message some of my friends from my contact list.. because they are actually skilled.. other than that.. i cant get one fight without tag in the game chat...


In other words, the new generation is nothing compared to the old generation

agreed.... not to mention the cheapness of this new generation *cough*spideykickallday*cough* and this speedgear thingy.... nahhh i guess i'll stick with the big boys of 01 and 02

See im from back in the day im never biast FACT is

there are MORE great players....then there ever was in 01 and 02

It seemed like 01 and 02 were better but were still around a lot ofus great players from 01 and 02.

but theres more users VIS a VIS theres more great players. Its pretty much a mathmatical cerntainatitiy.

Though there is also a LOT more ####s.....

Well when i came back to this game last month for a period of time things had changed so much, there were so many spidermen users, basically the top 5 were all spidermen users.

When i checked the scoreboard, high ranking ppl who i wanted to test for skill did not give me a match due to the fact when i had a high rank they challenged me and i beat them, so i think that was a contributing factor on why they kept declining my challenges, but thats the thing you see, back then if someone had lost against me they would thrive to become better than me by challenging me over and over again till they found a weakness in my fighting, its true to say their are a lot of "rank conscience" people in 2004, but that does not mean they do not have skill, im suprised by the fact there are so many good ryu users at this time, and yes even good spidermen users. The thing with these players is confidence in fighting other people who they lost against before hand, these new generations of fighters believe rank is what will get them known, whereas in 2001 our fighting ability matter so much to us.

Back to the fighting skill/ability of the new generations of fighter, as i was saying there is a tremendous amount of ability and im afraid to say much more than in 2001, ill admit there are more "####s" as they are described, but there are also more skilled fighters, back then there was just ryu to start off with, but if their were a wider selection of players i believe ppl would abuse spidermen as much as what we see today.

here are a few good fighters i fought:

Dasupertrooper - excellent shadow/chun, one of the best ive seen.
Hollis - very fast paced ryu who could definately stand up against the top 10 back in the day.
Takeover - Sent abilities are top draw, also not to shabby ryu.
Kid23/dichelle/wolver

Sry dude i did say i forgot some players, your E-ryu is definately top notch, you would be on my list, i was putting names on yesterday by looking on the forum user list, their are loads more i missed which shows the ability of these fighters.

Im sure there was a top 20 list made by one of the mods in early 2002 (which Tarkan won i believe), maybe one can be made right now and we could compare the top 20 from back then and the top 20 from right now. maybe we can even set up some fights (hehe I know its a long shot).

The lag of the game has driven me away....

I just cant play something that i can win fairly. Plus, its not fast pace like it usto be when Ryu Vs. Ryu was around. Now those were the fun days, when all you had was ryu.

Fair all the way.... Though lag existed, it wasnt as bad as it is today.

Games where exiting and close.

Nerve recking maches made me stay in this game... but not no more.
