Solidsnake- would u mind sharing some of the combos that you invented for wolvy? Because this game doesnt have a combo engine(or air combo engine) like the real game, so i would be very interested to see what combos u invented that actually work.
Arg, why cant we have old school mode!!!!!!!! But tarkan is right, it was better back then. I honestly dont notice a difference in lag. Sure when 4 player mode came out there was hella lag, but tmyapp took care of it to a point. But all in all i dont see a difference in lag, when i hit someone i still dont see life being taken off more then before. But to everyone complaining about ryu users only using hadukens to win a match ........ shut the hell up!!!!! With how this game is setup and runs, that is what u have to do to win a game. We dont have aircombos,grabs,tech hits, counters,basic ground combos,resets,infinites, and canceling normal moves into spuper moves. The real game has all of that!!!!! We dont have any of that, so of course we have to make do with what we have and use hadukens to win. To all of u who think i am just making stuff up, go search and look for x-men vs street fighter tournament vids and tell me how u see ppl playing wolvy,ryu,cyclops. U will see a completely different style of fighting because of all the things it has that this version doesnt. |
the combinations:
-This one is teleportation techniques: On the ground the best way to get to the other side of the screen is berserker slash high[down, back, p3]. This is the best way to get pass optic blast low and medium and sent's fire beam. But to pass hadouken or chun li's fireball, you should slide or super jump, drill claw, and come down with a high punch. the problem is a dragon punch or chun li's fancy kicks will cancel out the move and force wolverine back. so 8 out of 10 times, block while coming down and then attack. this is also an air teleportation maneuver and is the best offensive attack after a shinku-hadouken or mega optic blast is performed. this maneuver is to be used wisely or you wont have much of a chance getting close to the opponent. -hit med punch as many times as you want and finish with a high punch. -hit mid kick twice, high kick while crouching down, high punch while still down, and berserker barrage [or berserker barrage x]. -hit high kick while crouching down, high punch while still down, and berserker barrage. -hit high kick while crouching down, slide, and berserker barrage [or berserker barrage x]. -this maneuver requires you to launch the opponent into the air when in the corner: Press k3 two times, super jump up, press k3 again, then p3, drill claw, drill claw again and berserker barrage[or BBX]. -This requires the assistant of dr. doom: Call out doom IMMEDIATELY do berserker barrage x. now if you do berserker barrage x twice, damage will be greater thanks to doom. Note: this might work better in the corner if you're not too lucky. -press mk twice, super jump. mk, hk, drill claw X, berserker barrage. -BBX, then drill claw X. reverse this if u want. i should be called the master of wolverine. remember this. |

Still with the "better back in the day" talk?? Do you really not understand ping/lag well enough to know that people teleporting after .5 sec. is better then waiting 5 sec. for them to move.
Ping is down, lag is down, plain and simple. No more corner raping your opponent for about a minute at a time before backing off and letting them "teleport" to the other side with little or no damage taken. No, lag is not completely gone (nor is it likely to ever be). But it's "getting" better in its own gradual process. It's a rare thing these days to see ping above 1000, and almost never reaches above 100 when you're hosting. This kind of thing was unheard of "back in the day". |

I tried each and none seem to combo into one another. ex:"press mk twice, super jump. mk, hk, drill claw X, berserker barrage" dubya tee eff is that?? that is clearly a made up move that doesnt connect or work in anyway. And dubya tee eff is with that vid??? It was just a poopty ass match with no point.

excuse me. i thought combos in THIS game were adding moves together. of course some of them are gonna be hard to connect. this one: press mk twice, super jump. mk, hk, drill claw X, berserker barrage will work if the person stays in place after you super jump. its a complicated move if u figure that out. until tmy puts the real stuff in, if that can ever happen due to LAG, this is the 'combos' that will work so be happy with them and use them well like the so called 'vet' u r.
and that vid is to prove a god damn point u mindless twit. notice how he just jumping back hitting high punch then ready to do a super? now tell me thats not cheap. |
i'll ask you the simple question !
what is a combo ? basically... multiple hits that connects one after the others ! so basically, we have all those air combos and ground combos ! when you sucessfully rap a guy in the corner (how much time as it happenned) when you sucessfully land 3 consecutive hits like hadoken hadoken, jump kick then shinkuu ! then you just made a combo ! i actually have been able to pull out combos on the cpompouters and on some peoples around that fight hand to hand ! yes, you don't see the AIR-COMBO !!!!!!!!!!!! appearing after doing one, but if you hitted the guy a lot then you know he's jummping and you kicked him out of the air ! then you don't need to see that stupid text appear, you know you made one ! second simple question... what is good in INFINITES ? i'm glad not to have them around here ! yes the guy's pretty damn good if he pulled one off... but losing an entire life bar without being able to do anything is really stupid, it knocks the game fun factor to a minimum ! that's the ame with varials ! what are they good for in this game ? in the original game, the supers of the character can be done 4 times before actually kill someone... but in this game, two supers kill someone ! so in varials, its instant kill ! what's the fun of that ? hadokens is the only way to win ? how can i have that much wins when i'm not actually playing with hadokens all the time ? lag being a killer and never changed ? perhaps you never see the difference between 5 seconds and .5 seconds ! really like shinjuko said... before when i was playing i had almost always over 3000 of ping. the ping is in MILISECONDS which means 1000 = 1 second. don't know how you see it, but over 3 seconds = over 3 seconds later ! whch means that what i see on my screen have already passed on about 3 seconds before. as we all know. 3 seconds is more then enought to be killed without even have been able to do anything except random moves hoping to not get it ! and you call that a fighting game ? i would have called it a HOPING GAME because you had to do random moves and HOPES was the only thing you could do ! now i hardly get over 1000 ! that's 4 seconds of lag gone for good ! maybe you never saw the difference ? but seing the energy bar getting sucked in 1 seconds is better then waiting for an entire 5 seconds when you're in a very close match ! really, if you think this game sucks so hard, how come you are still here playing it ? |

wouldnt it be cooler if you can train your charicter I mean like if you fight enough your power gets higher or your life gets higher that would get the game interesting they should try to get more companys to sponser them so they could put more stuff like the training thing and more charicters.

there is no company sponcering it ! TMYAPP is all alone in production ! all the others that are mod are helping yes, buts its only forum based or money based. as it DONATING which is in no way a form of sponcering ! so basically, there is no company in itself that actually does this game ! its all about a simple guy that decided to do a simple game that lots of people happen to love ! unless you count PROJECTX.CYBERFUTURISM.COM as a company, there are none ! don't expect any ofifcial support from a game company either ! as for more characters, why do you think we got poll ? the number of characters is far from being attainned, tmyapp is still in early developpment of the game, far from the final product which will with hop be lag free ! for those who don't know... when i said that, i considered that lag was always existing while fighting over internet ! but if i ever consider it like any other internet games ! Q3A, UR2003 and the likes... 56K = between 100-200 CABLES = between 25-50 this game is like... 56K = 500 - 1000 CABLES = 100 - 400 see what i meant ? this game still need a lot of lag tweaking, i'm glad tmyapp reduced it like hell, but still... he know he can do better then that, its just that a lot of things in his to-do list are needed far more then the lag fixing problem ! |

I never usually have much lag when playing Rise of Nations Multiplayer but I Lag like hell in this game... It takes more than 10 seconds for my moves to transfer to the other player (and that's just in quick game!) , while in RON it's usually only 1 second before my moves are connected. But at least i'm happy that the lag isn't as bad as it was 2 years ago. |

How about if we take out cyclops out of the game and add a new character ARE we could take some of his optic move from him and give him some more fight move and wove doesn't bother me because i beat him everytime( :D ) and 1 more thing i can hardly get a good fighter to fight where is all of the real vet like Asshole (i hardly see him around and when i do he don't fight me) Pakistani(i haven't seen him for so long) tarkanx(just returning) Professor (the reall 1 where is he @) darkmagican(hmmmmmmmm long time) Nferno(i have seen him a couple time) and more that i don't even remember this game has been taken over by inexperience noob :angry: |

hmm one thing for sure... memory usage increased and available cheap tatics had increased dramatically. when i use to be on my 333mhz computer the game ran ok, not good but ok (about 12fps is playable for me). later on a few month after tag mode was released my game ran about 5fps, then when spidey was released 3fps uhhuh u heard me, cheap tatics. wolvy had a rival - ryu. chun li join the frenzy. suddenly cyke, sent, onslaught, spidey popped up. all the old cheap taticc/glitches such as drill claw, hadoukens, lightin kick was useless now. instant beams shot everywhere, maybe even causing more lag. as if it wasnt dangerous enough u have 1% chance of blocking a super cuz u cant move when a super is performed.. some sort of glitch that happened on an update i guess, now u cannot block even more.. since there was already air/landing blocking problems. one thing i notice is numbers of games has lowered. once used to be in the thousands now decline to dozens or hundreds of games. less players participate in this forum. and skillz also has declined dramatically....... ok i havent fought for months the last time. i come in, whip some guys ass in the top 50.. i mean dubya tee eff.. im not that good am i? top 50 were at least decent players that puts up a fight.. now i see.. its all in their gaming strategy, instead of fighting at all conditions like a true fighter will, they host games, taunt others, trickery, use any possible tatic to win, without the need of true skillz. These kind of regression is what makes me think i have wasted a great deal of time here. I guess.. like any marvel vs. games.. things have changed for the majority of handicapped in fighting. alright that is all on my point of view. until ..........next time.. |
well... i do not really agree with you DX, it does needs a lot more power in some versions, but in others the game is going perfectly !
it all depends on your machine. but unfortunately, updates will always happen ! and as far as i know, the programmings will always be giving you out bugs ! i mean that if you change one line of code, maybe the 37th lines under it will not work properly ! its always like that in programming ! anyway... with my old AMD K6/2 500mhz i do saw a big difference ! DX, maybe you didn't notice any difference cause you were under the minimum requirements of the game ! cause on my 500 (the minimum recommended by tmyapp) i never really lost FPS after updates. ratherly, it was the controls in the game that were all messed up, then the next update it was running perfect, then medium then high then poor ! always playing around like that ! anyway... see my point ? as for the lag, i couldn't explain it more then i did ! |
