An old topic, but you gave your thanks to the people who tried to do something about the 9-11 attacks, so carry on.

The attacks of 911 seems like a certain ALERT EMERGENCY code to me.

some people asked why i revived this post...well, we cannot let the memory of 9-11-01 die like people want this post to. posts die when people stop responding to them and ignore them, but September 11 will not go away. before the healing process can begin, we must come to terms with our losses. as i said before,"hopefully we can look back and thank all of those who gave their lives to save others, and to also thank the men who stormed the cockpit in order to stop the terrorists from hitting a target. They were good men, in fact were a part of Campus Crusade for Christ.... these men knowingly gave their lives in order to help protect those below. I pray for their families (NO RELIGIOUS ARGUMENTS PLEASE, HAVE RESPECT FOR THE DEPARTED), and hope we can all appreciate the sacrifices that they, all of the NY firemen..., NYPD, and overseas armed made for us "
i cannot fix the wrong, but i can sure as heck learn from it. as a wise man once said, "Those who do not learn from their past are doomed to relive it". We must make sure that that never happens. (Edited by viper2040 at 9:17 pm on Feb. 15, 2002) |
Dam reading this topic brought back bad memories of what happened on 9-11. It's something i'll never forget cause I saw it happening from my roof top in Brooklyn. It's strange I still remember EVERYTHING that happened that day but I can barley remember what happened two days ago. I never thought i'd see the day the city I call my home for LIFE be violated so badly. People say New Yorkers are hot tempered and edgey but a few days later I have never seen so much blank stares on the train before, it was like New York had lost it's soul. Life goes on and the future will only be brighter.

hmmm....
how do I do this without sounding incensitive.. well heres a go. this is a game, not a soap box. none of us will ever know true horror, and making comments that feign our condolenses is pointless. you wanna do something productive relating to this event, go out and preach racial tolerance... tell ppl to not hate by color barriers. but don't think this topic will somehow change a thing. It's not even a start. I can remember this event till I bleed, but its not going to change a thing. instead of spending time in here posting about how horrified you are at the death and destruction, go out into the world, and actually do something to make a difference. |
