No, it was a joke. Capcom made all of the games, didn't they? Whether or not the characters are Marvel or Street Fighter, Capcom still made the games. I don't have an insider's view (sadly).

HeH... No Selvin, this is not the first fightig game I've ever played... for all you know, I could've played more than you :D.

I mean, I didn't know because I was never really a big fan of X-MeN or Marvel... they're a little bit too junky! But the game is awesome!

And one more thing, Ive played almost every single SF Game (Besides SF EX3, SF: Tht Movie, Sf Collection and/or the first SF ever, where sagat is the boss) ever made... But there are some moves I still know what they're called, cuz I never pay attention to reading move names...

I don't see why everyone likes Akuma, he's basically Ryu with a couple more moves thrown in. Ken is like Ryu, but his supers are totally different (Shoryureppa and Shinryuken).
I happen to like Captain America, but they better put his Final Justice super in there.:)
