it's just a prefix just like LORD something or KING something.

for my part...
the 5th is great but it will depend at which hour because i will be working that day !
i would rather it being during the saturday since it is the only day i am not working !

I know Im a vet because of all the strong battles I went through From my revolution of changing my characters from ryu to wolverine then ryu again and now sticking with cyclops.
I was here a long time and a lot of other ppl were too but I do not understand where the party will be a game or a chat server ?

This vet thing is almost like the rank system alot of ppl are called vets just like alot of ppl have been number one and dont really deserve it. There are always about ten names who i haven't seen here in like 10 months.....yet....they are still respected as a "vet" ???

Other ppl are here bustin there ass keeping clans alive, posting, and playing and they get no respect ???

PPL WHO WERE ONLY HERE FIVE MONTHS AND HAVE BEEN GONE SINCE THEN GET MORE RESPECT THAN SOME WHO HAVE BEEN HERE 10-8 months dubya tee eff IS THAT!!!.

I would also like to include that you "vets" also bring up the same names all the time....I really think you guys have a problem with that what will it take for you guys to open your eyes and consider others to be great in this game.

A vet in the forum or the game. In the forum i joined in August but in the game i was playing since February. I guess i'n not a vet . ???

Well I can certainly say that I respect you more than I do for many of the "vets", Virus.

I know I don't deserve any respect WHATSOEVER. I suck in the game, post useless material, and I do nothing for my clan. But there are many others unlike me. They have the qualities of a true vet, as does Virus, but receives little recognition. No offense to SSJKarma, but he posts like madman and is still considered one of the high and mighty of our community.

don't take me wrong guys, but i think AOU ARE THE ONES that don't know a #### about VETS !

lots of us have been doing things, it took me about a year of full postings and things like that to be actually recognize as a GOOD person and not a new comer. i too suffered from that kind of disrespect. but YOU are thiking about this the wrong way. for lots of us, being a vet is simply to be told that we were here for a vey long time (which is the real way to decide a vet)

but no,m people have been telling things like this...

VETS = Person that is good in what it does !

the only thing that you can say to this, is the time it takes to become a vet, it is 5 months for certain, 1 year for others...

The way you guys are posting, I'm a vet as well. I joined the game in Sept. 2001. Its not my fault that I didn't know about forums til' much later (more like March 2002). I actually started coming to this one in April 2002, so I've been here longer than most think.

And about this official definition of "vet", that is a totally different thing. In my opinion, wait...I've posted my definition of a "vet" before...but where...where did I post it?

Well, you might have a point...but...there's a reason he wants a "vet" party...but ask him. I still remember my denial of being in the vet tourney, because they didn't see me in there a lot, but if some of you guys hosted it, and I told you how long I've been with the game, you would've let me be in it. Different people have different definitions about certain things like this.

no really have a vet party. it wasn't a bad idea. the guy wanted to live like he did in the old days.

But you cannot compare a vet here at the xmvsf community to a veteran of war. A veteran of war is someone who had fought for his country in a time of need. A veteran here in a GAME is nothing of the sort. It is someone who contributed or did somthing big for this community. It is someone who most people respect.

It doesn't necesarrily (help me...) have to be anything "big"...it could be many small things, or just getting known by a lot of forum members. There are many definitions of this term. Just go and pick one...

and following your definition, the first NEW COMERS that DONATE 200$ to TMY would become instantly a vet !

no, like i said, a veteran by definition is someone who has been there for a very long time. that's the only definition that counts anything else is just based on EMOTIONS of the very person which is never a good definition !

each person have his definition and that makes conflict, by takeing the def of the dictionnary then we are sure not to have the wrong one !

AXE, maybe you should change the party name, sintead of vet party, but it's up to you AXE, no one is trying to convince you.

if that was the rules. then i could be in this vet party.

1.Joined in February
2.In the game, i am quie skilled fighter.
3.I participate in the forums alot. cause i don't have a life and just go on the net all day. :biggrin:

No Tarkan, the name "vet party" is perfectly ok. It's a party for the vets so it's ok. So how are you guys going to determine who's in this party?

Ok there are so many dam things i would like to reply to but i can't quote them all.

First off karma judging by how long youve been here only then yes I would be a "vet" I have been here long enough BUT I do not want to be considered a "vet" b/c of what you all have made it stand for.

Some misunderstand me as you clearly have:

1. Im not talking about you in particular I know you post...for god sake how can I miss them...but your fellow comrades from way back the one you guys always bring up...havent done squat for the community in a very long time and yet are still recognized over others (dont know how many time i got to say this).

2. The decision to be called a vet is run by standards that no-one has agreed to...jus look at how many ppl have thier own standards.

3. was tiger woods a vet in the golf war? ??? :p

This is how it happend back then all the time I almost could'nt wait till a tournament came around jus to see if you guys were as good as some said you were. The only top ten that gave me a chance was nferno666 (who i respect to this day for) and everytime we fought i got a little closer and closer to beating him and guess what happend?...I finally did hell I will always respect him for even giving me the chances to prove myself UNLIKE THE REST OF YOU AT THE TIME.


It is not fair to call the "vets" jus because they owned everyone at the time I mean what makes you think they would have beat strider, SupersonicX or even two of the greats from MY TIME Tupac and CaSe.
