i think i saw on animal planet that pitbulls use to be trained fighters and their instinct hasnt quite fizzled out yet

[quote:post_uid0="Virtual Fighter"]"Pit bulls and pit-bull crosses (not always easy to distinguish) have caused more than a third of the nation's dog-bite fatalities since 1979 and a comparable proportion of serious injuries. The rising number of attacks, and the unease pit bulls and other dangerous dogs cause in public spaces, have spurred many municipalities to crack down with legislation ranging from muzzle laws to bans on pit bulls and certain other breeds."
http://www.city-journal.org/html/9_2_scared_of_pit.html My site has everything your site doesn't, the truth.
"pit bulls and other dangerous dogs"--- Really, is that so? Well, why is it that only pit bulls are taking the heat. It doesn't even focus on any other breeds, it just goes straight for pit bulls. And thats how you know your so called truth is one sided. AND I love this part "not always easy to distinguish"... HAHAHA... so what does this mean. A different breed may have attacked a person but since they really couldn't say, they just said pit bull... thats funny right their. |
Omg....pitbulls...in denver...omg..thas MESSED Up..i have 3 pitbullz and if we evr go to denver ima smack any1 who tries to kill or "Put To Death Row" my pitbulls...their not that scary really....all you needa do is one o the following to keep em under control:
1. The obious have a leash on it. 2. If itz in the street (wild dog) kick it lmao... 3. At least call the pound and POUND it u don gotsa kill it omg... There are many alternativez that killin a Pitbull...thatz Messed Up......If their afraid then that their problem call the POUND!![/color:post_uid3] |
pitbulls are naturally deadly animals. your a fool to have them as a pet. and i really hate rockwiellers and pitbulls, i dont blame denver for having this law. its a pretty decent one.
|
Uhh, because if you have an ounce of a brain you would know pitbulls can snap instantly, kill anyone that moves, and they're 1/3 of the world's maulings.
They're the ones that are starting all the poop. If you can save 1/3 of the people who get mauled by dogs from getting mauled, wouldn't you? Unless you're some cold hearted nazi. |
the law is the problem, they should change it where they bann pitbulls not kill them, they should just move them to another area like i said before
|
And you people are hypocrites. You're crying when the pound is killing killers but you're okay when abbandoned dogs get euthenasia, right?
-_- |

Anyway...
I think that as a law, people have the right to own a pit bull. Just like people have the right to be racists (as Virtual said in the topic "Racism"). This is a free country and if a person that comitts racist crimes and acts can walk on the streets spreading hate, than so can all the pit bulls. Much more people died and die because of racism than their are people dying from pit bull atacks. People have the right to own pit bulls as do they have the right to free speach. BOOOYAKA! Where in the constetution does it say Pitt Bulls have a right to kill? Owning a Pitt Bulls is as dangerous as owning a gun, and just as retarded. Why would you own something that is killing other people? And plus, you're still a hypocrite for not carring about the dog-euthenasia at the pound but carring OH SO MUCH about the killing of dogs who are killers. Quote:
Oh, and another thing, don't flatter yourself. You're not that smart, and "not that smart" is an overshot. |

How about you both just stop getting on each others throats for once. Must every topic you both post in be filled with nothing but animousity ?? Isn't the forum big enough for both of you to at least "ignore" one another so that we won't have to come here to post some crappy well worded "children please behave message" ??
It's freaking 1:57 AM here and I don't think I have time to start reading how this started or why it even started. All I want is that whatever it is... should just stop and let's get back on track with what the topic is supposed to be  |

I've got a better analogy. They're like the kids who shoot up the schools.
You don't talk to them, you try to be nice to them, and BAM THEY SNAP AND KILL EVERYONE! |
[quote:post_uid0="SolidSnake76"]those things are like animal sentinels, except they attack anything in sight.
OMG!! HAHAHAHAHAH!! That is the funniest thing I've ever heard!! omg |
Actually Pit Bulls are very dangerous animals to own as pets. Basically they are really over aggressive making them more prone to attack being people or other animals. Secondly these dogs are very athletic and strong especially in the muzzle area. Now these traits would be somewhat ideal for a dog owner, yet these Pit Bulls share a common killer trait which is their extremely high aggression normally found in wild animals. Does this really call for a state wide ban on the Half Bull Dog and Half Terrier killer? I think that is the right decision. Since it would be only a matter of time before another one attacked or killed another person. Why take the risk?

im not sure of saving lives but pitbulls can help you in a time of need.... lets say you get jumped, your pitbull will run and attack who's harming you. When i had my pitbull, it helped me out in a time of need.
I must agree, pitbulls are dangerous. I would never own a pitbull again. I am now afraid of them. When i had my pitbull, it was the best thing when it was a baby. But when it grew up, it changed. It started being aggressive and acted violent to me for no reason. It would try to attack me alot for no dam reason. It once bit my hand and i bled pretty bad. Ever since I owned that pitbull, i've had somewhat of a fear of all big dogs. But at the same time, i can't bare to see them get killed. For the fact that i used to own a pitbull, makes me feel bad for them. They deserve to live.... people just have to train them, watch them, and dont let them loose. if you wanna kill pitbulls, u might as well kill rotweilers too cause rotweilers can really do some damage on a person. |
[quote:post_uid0="raddaman0628"][quote:post_uid0="Virtual Fighter"][quote:post_uid0="Windarossa"]It's like dogy racism!! Kill a dog because of how it looks!! They don't even care about it's behavior!
And not letting a 350 pound person eat McDonalds... thats just cruel. The guy is going to die anyway, so why not let him enjoy something in his life. :D
Pitbulls are the most violent dog known to man. Just a few days ago I heard a story of a family's pitbull killing their kid, a 7 year old. Pitbulls are killers. Other than that, what have they done to benefit society?
its a battle of wits and I'm unarmed but, did u actually see sometihng? Do u have proof? Oh and for ur second question maybe u'll find something here..... http://www.understand-a-bull.com/Her...oicPitties.htm
dubya tee eff is wrong with you people... your not sure if they save lives?... why do you post in a topic if you haven't read all the posts? |

Thats because parents don't watch their stupid kids. The kids end up walking all over the place pulling dogs ears and tails and sh!t.

I find it ironic that while you've been arguing that "it's not right" more of these dogs are already dead because of it.

[quote:post_uid0="marvel911"]I find it ironic that while you've been arguing that "it's not right" more of these dogs are already dead because of it.
The whole point is that they should stop doing it marve|. People are so fast to say that pit bulls are killers but they dont want to open their eyes to the positive side of the breed... :whatsthat: " Although negative information about pit bulls is widespread, there are also many positive stories. Some work in hospitals and care facilities as therapy dogs, and some have saved people's lives." |
Quote:
Uhh, no. You're highlighting the "both sides" of the argument, while most of the wikipedia articles are all about how dangerous they are. Even your own "LOOK WUD I FUND!" arguments don't stack up. Look: "Like all dog breeds, some members may display aggression toward other animals, but should be completely friendly and loving toward people. In fact, a Pit Bull with a proper temperament makes a poor guard dog and should, with a wagging tail and bulldog grin, let strangers walk right onto its property. See? They won't even protect your family. They're kill your kid buy let a stranger prance in. Pit bulls can make very good pets, but great care must be taken should one choose to care for one. They are not recommended as a first dog for a new owner, and like many breeds they require training and socialization to become well adjusted adult canines" See? It's not for first timers, it's not for children, it's not for famiyl pets. If you don't train them well, they'll bite your face off and eat your kids. LOL as i said before... some dog attacks people and since they aren't sure, they just say Pit bull... Quote:
In the last 35 days, look at all the attacks pittbulls have done: RECENT FATAL ATTACKS BY PIT BULLS An 82-year-old Spotsylvania, Virginia woman was mauled to death by her neighbor's three loose pit bulls. A two-year-old Huntington, West Virginia girl was buried yesterday, killed in a mauling by a neighbor's pit bull that was supposed to have been quarantined eight days earlier. The animal's owner shares responsibility with the child's mother, who had been instructed not to let the young girl into the house (they had been visiting, on the porch). The owner said he orginally bought the dog to protect his wife while he lived in Texas and was sometimes away, serving in the military. I think he should have bought her a gun instead. A St. Charles County, Missouri man who owned two pit bull mixes was killed in his home by one or both of them, due to crushing injuries to his neck from dog bites. Neighbors said he loved his dogs and had talked about how well-behaved they were. ATTACKS BY PIT BULLS OF FAMILY AND FRIENDS In another St. Charles County, Missouri incident, a man and his 13-year-old stepson were attacked viciously by a relative's pit bull in their home. In Charlotte, North Carolina an eight-year-old girl waiting in a family friend's house to get her hair braided was attacked by a resident pit bull, and suffered an armpit puncture wound, a missing chunk from a calf, and a blood clot threatening a main leg artery. A 23-month-old Portland, Oregon boy was in critical condition after being attacked by tethered pit bull owned by his family, in his own back yard, with an adult present. In Albuquerque, a two-year-old girl was mauled by her family's three pit bulls, and was in critical condition with multiple bites and massive upper torso trauma. A six-year-old Florida girl underwent surgery to have her left eyelid re-attached after it was bitten off by the pit bull of a family friend on a Mother's Day outing. She had approached the dog carefully, to pet it, when it snapped. The dog's distraught owner said it had never shown aggressive behavior before, and would be destroyed. A Tennesee grandmother was shocked after her previously well-behaved pit bull mauled two of her grandchildren. ASSORTED OTHER ATTACKS A two-year-old San Marcos, California girl suffered puncture wounds to her head and forehead in a pit bull attack after the dog came out of a house her parents had come to in order to test drive a used car for sale. In Toledo, Ohio, a loose pit bull bit off part of the lip of a 10-year-old boy who had been walking down an alley. A 10-year old boy with cerebral palsy, from Old Bridge, New Jersey suffered bites on the head, arm, underarm, and hand from a neighbor's pit bull, and subsequent emotional trauma. The owner said the dog had never caused problems before. The pit bull was driven off by the child's older brother, with a plastic toy sword. A Jacksonville, Florida man's nose was bitten off by a pit bull. A 79-year-old Grand Mound, Washington woman was hospitalized after being attacked, unprovoked, while walking on a city street, and bitten by a pit bull and a pit bull-Rottweiler mix. A 79-year-old Winfield, Kansas woman was hospitalized with a severe dog bite after attempting to feed a pit bull that had been chained and left without water or food. Yes, she probably just should have called animal control. But the dog's treatment speaks to an ongoing problem: there is a sizeable sub-group of pit bull owners - callous and irresponsible - who either like their pits hungry, mean and mad, or who tire of caring for them. Two Indianapolis pit bulls were impounded after attacking an air conditioning repairman in a neighbor's yard. A pregnant woman in Houston, Texas, and her dog were attacked by pit bull that had broken free of its chains. A neighbor chased it off with a baseball bat, another neighbor says he had regularly used a golf club to scare away aggressive pit bulls. A 74-year-old Beaverton, Oregon man got bites on his hands and arms when he walked out of his house and a pit bull leaped out from behind some shrubs to attack him. A pair of loose pit bulls in New Orleans bit four people before being caught. A three-year-old Chicago girl had to have an ear re-attached after a pit bull attack. There were "deep, significant injuries to leg and groin area" for a four-year-old in Danville, Virginia attacked by a pit bull. In Columbus, Ohio, a seven-month-old baby was hospitalized after being attacked by a pit bull in a house. A 12-year-old Toldeo boy required 80 stitches after being bitten by the pit bull of a 15-year-old, who, angered at being teased by the younger boy and some friends, sicced his dog on them. PIT BULLS AND POLICE It is popular now for pit bull owners to sometimes claim excessive force or over-reaction when police feel forced to shoot attacking pit bulls. This is disingenuous. It is incumbent upon owners, to begin with, to ensure that their pit bulls do not escape, violently charge, or otherwise exhibit aggressive behavior toward police or other individuals. In Melbourne, Florida, a stray pit bull with no tags jumped inside a police car and attacked a police dog. A stun gun failed to subdue the pit bull, who was then shot dead by police. In Warren, Ohio, a home alarm went off; police and a police dog came; and a neighbor's three pit bulls came out to investigate. The neighbor's pit bulls attacked the police officer and police dog, with one of the neighbor's pit bulls locking its jaws onto the police dog. That attacking pit bull and another of the neighbor's pit bulls were killed by police in response. In Lancaster County, Nebraska, a deputy responding to a domestic call was attacked by a pit bull that exited a nearby vehicle. The pit bull latched onto the deputy's shooting arm; the deputy passed out and was hospitalized with puncture wounds. Rampaging pit bulls were shot by police in Danville, Virginia. In Petersberg, Virginia, a loose pit bull roaming a city block chased people, bit a man twice, trapped another, bit off a broom handle proffered in defense, then attacked a police officer and was killed. A sherrif's deputy in Savannah, Georgia serving a subpeona was charged by a pit bull, and killed it. Police officers in Tacoma, Washington responding to a call were met by a charging pit bull, which one of them shot dead. SOME RECENT PIT BULL ATTACKS ON ANIMALS In Auberry, California two loose pit bulls killed nine sheep. In Toldeo, two pit bulls were impounded after killing a Yorkshire terrier and a cat, and attacking a repairman. A pit bull leaped from a parked car in a San Francisco transit station parking lot, into another car, to attack a service dog in-training, causing severe injuries to the service dog's face. A Texas woman's Shih Tzu-Chihuahua mix was killed by a neighbor's pit bull. A miniature horse in a barn near Eugene, Oregon was attacked and seriously injured by two stray pit bulls, before they were driven off with a rake. SOME RECENT RESCUES A Bayview, New Jersey teen was hailed as a hero, after saving three younger kids from a pit bull attack, although one child had a toe bitten off. An 11-year-old Bartlesville, Oklahoma boy turned himself into human shield to protect his two younger siblings from a pit bull attack. He required surgery to re-attach muscles to his calf. http://www.rosenblog.com/2005....ns.html BUT NOOOOOOOOO. Pit bulls are good, nice dogs, aren't they! Look at all the harm and distruction they've caused. NO OTHER DOG HAS DONE SO MUCH TO SO MANY. PITTBULLS ARE DANGEROUS. They're not called "bulls" for nothing. Edited By Virtual Fighter on 1122148786 |

So, how is every body? I'm good... chillin' Did I ever tell you guys that Restavega has a pit bull. She is such a nice dog. Love her! She is mad smart too. When Restavega's cat got hit by a car right outside his house. She whent crazy barking up the whole neighbor hood. She was howling like no tomorrow. Rest and his mom ran out and saw theirs poor kitty lying on the ground bleeding. But the story ended up good. They rusehd to a vet and saved the kitty. His pit bull is a hero... and a good babysitter. She and the cat are good friends they play together and everything. The cat jumps on her and she just licks and pets the cat. I understand that that some pit bulls are killers but after i've seen with my own eyes how sweet that dog is... I don't understand the law about killing EVERY pit bull. |
