What about the children? You wouldnt support giving a young child a second chance at life?

AnimeGirl4evr 07-02-2005 01:59 PM

^^ I would.

Lol, you people are starting to let your "imaginations" get the better of you. Just like I posted in my previous post, this experiment will NOT work, and still bare in mind that this experiment is based on "dogs"..., and not humans.

It doesn't really matter how science evolves, but I assure you, there won't be such a thing as bringing back the "dead". We leave in a world of uncertainty, not knowing what tomorrow will hold. And death is always around us, seeking it's next victims, and there is no escaping it...

Don't get me wrong, however this experiement will work on animals, but definately not on humans, due to the fact that humans posses something that animals don't, and it's the very "essence" of our existence, believe it or not.

Edit: I'm even willing to bet a $100, that this experiement will not work on humans.

I never said it would, nor did the article. If you actually read the article, it said they would try the technique out on humans, the keyword being try. Also, it never said it that scientists expect it to work 100%, if at all.
Also, if your trying to dig down into a religious meaning behind it all, then give that up.

TremulantX 07-02-2005 05:41 PM

there is no possible way that when humans do get revived through this technique that they will become zombies like in the movies and infect others with somezombie disease, not even viruses and bacteria because they were basically frozen, the human brain is too complex to have absolutely no damage when being revived, all memories and identity will be lost, there isnt a way to take a "video" of your life either and have those things implanted back in "yet" either so no if they do revive humans, they will become zombies, but more like babies..... all involuntary functions should work properly but you will have to redisocer your life and learn how to walk and be potty trained all over again...... it's that simple. a dogs brain is so simple it doesn't matter if it forgot how to pee anyway cuz it pee's anywhere!! :)

vx_unicom 07-03-2005 04:21 AM

@marve|: Lol, I'm very well aware what the article is all about, and I clearly understood that, this particular experiment will work on all dogs. From reading certain posts, It seemed people were actually implying that this idea will work on humans, thus being a "reality".

Trying to dig down a religious meaning?!?...lol, I don't think my last "statement" sounded religious at all.

MasterX05 07-03-2005 08:00 PM

Some poeple dont read do they, it said that on humans it would be really helpful for bringing back humans who died from BLOOD LOST So your telling me that if a women got stabbed by some thief trying to steal her purse. Then its wrong to bring her back cuz it was her time to die? Or if a cop takes a bad gunshot wound from a crimnal and has lost lots of blood he dies. And its only right he should die because his time came? All that poop is bullpoop man

Well I was simply saying not to. I didnt know what you meant when you were doing all your stupid little quotes and bolding of words to make yourself feel like your stressing the importance of a word when it's unnecessary.

And then you said:'it's the very "essence" of our existence' which I figured you were trying to get to a whole God/religious meaning by quoting yet another word, essence. And I figured you'd have a good reason to turn a topic towards a religious way since your whole Pope/debate topic failed miserably.

But apparently your not doing that, so all's well.

DA_VIPA 07-04-2005 10:01 AM

these scientists really should worry on the things thats killing us then there would be no need to regenerate dead ppl. cure cancer or something!!! getting 2 females eggs to fertilise one another is impressive but its gona screw us all over!!

I felt, it was necessary to put certain words, you call "stupid", and yet failed to undertand what I was trying to say (trying to figure it out) in quotes and bold, in order to clearly specify what I was trying to say, and make it sure it's crytal clear that once a human dies, there won't be a "revival". I'm a 100% confident, going as far as to bet a $100. It's necessary indeed to stress that out..

Unfortunately it seems, your bringing up unnecessary comments on how my topic failed miserably, which I don't think it did. How "intelligent" of you, thinking the word essence evolves around religion.. :dozingoff:

one day we might be able to bring back the dead with no problems, it may be unimaginable nowbut so was electricity a thousand years ago, within the last century we have made thousands of scientific discoveries, and it's not time to stop.

this experiment won't be used upon humans any time soon becuase we have so many politicians who think that a country is run by a religion...

So your vast knowledge in the field of medical science and research enables you to know the outcome of these experiements? Sure it may not work the first time, or the first 50 times, nobody is saying it will, all it is saying is that they're going to try. Go ahead and have your doubts, but what is your reason for disbelief? Just because it seems illogical to you means it will never be done?

And I do hope you read MasterX05's post on the previous page, because it does indeed make sense.

So your also saying your Pope debate topic succeeded eh? You claim it didnt fail, and there is no middle ground, so in your mind your topic that went no where, and didnt answer your question as to what other people's thoughts were, succeeded with flying colors. Hmm, interesting..oh wait, "interesting"

Yes it was quit "intelligent" of me to think that wasnt it? So if your whole line where you say: 'due to the fact that humans posses something that animals don't' Ok, what is that something? Is it the ability to stand up-right, or the ability to speak?

I think Windarossa can take her fantastic opinions on our subject matter elsewhere instead of demeaning our conversation..

When has the UN "debated" anything? They just squabble over petty things instead of looking at the big problems.

Ethics? Who defines ethics. This is just some bullpoop word the christian right uses to try to hold back the development of man.

If we all went by "ethics", we'd still think the sun rotated around the earth and that books are evil because "they lie".

actually I have no idea

Windarossa: It doesn't take a scientist to figure out a solution for "world hunger". If you got a good heart and soul, anyone can do it. Even if it means helping a little bit in a homeless shelter. If everyone can put their self-centered thoughts behind, world hunger wouldn't be an issue. How the heck is a scientist going to come up with a solution for world hunger? Come up with a hypothesis, experiment, and other crap? Please.

You keep forgetting the point of this. This is only a "test" that they are going to do on humans. If the test succeeds, then hoofliping ray. After the test, then they can start thinking of what they can achieve by reviving a dead person, like solving kidnaps, rapes, and a whole mess of crimes out their that could be solved. Also think about this, you actually think they are going to revive random people? Obviously they are going to ask permissions before the person is dead just like they ask "whether you like your body is creamated or burried".

Ok, I know this is off subject, but after reading this topic there has been one thing that has been pissing me off. Those gay big grins. Big grins are played out, find another smily for god sakes. I swear, it is like we have a whole mess of TMy jrs in this forum. Not like I have a problem with TMy, just it gets annoying reading posts from others that looks some what identical to TMy's.

~Mastermax~ 07-06-2005 10:08 AM

scientists could be ending world hunger if it wasn't for politicians preventing research on genetic engineering. we are being set decades behind becuase we have republicans who are acting like a prophet and banning things they call unethical left and right. so don't start bitching about whats ethical.

people called DEMOCRACY unethical, yet we all know it isn't.

Ok, you want to be the "first" but yet it must suceed, so the experiement would have to of been already tested before you, not making you the first. Second, you'd have to be dead. And I dont think scientists are gonna kill you just so they can try this out because that's called murder. :p
