I believe the Playstation 2 is better for all the reasons that others have told, but I have a question....I've had my PS2 for quite some time now, but I haven't used the online ability just because I haven't bought what I needed yet. Does it cost to setup your PS2 for the internet but not playing games online with others, or besides paying for the equipment you need not costing anything at all?

I tried it out when I got Halo for the PC, and it was okay (since Halo is basically the marquee Xbox game) ... However, integrating it with a UBS chord and its port, I was able to try it out for Madden 2005... and (in my opinion anyway) it utterly sucked :biggrin: It's not all that bad though, however, it could be better. |
It is nasty and driving games are a nightmare, they make your fingers hurt as you have to use that bulky right shoulder button.

[/quote] the s-controller pad makes it easier to play nearly all xbox games,its a lot smaller and comfortable then the original xbox pad, roughly the same size as a ps2 joy pad, you'd be better of buying one of those instead of the normal pads if you find it difficult to play with the default controller |

Come on...another one? If I see another "best console ever you choose" that has a wacked up list, or is missing consoles, I'm just going to close it. If you put "Whats the best nintnedo system?" And named ALL the nintedo system, from NES, to the 5 different gameboys, to virtual boy, to gamecube etc...thats fine. Or whats your fav next gen console, and name the newest baddies, or maybe even your favorite next gen portable...thats fine to. but no more random ones like this. I got to it late, so I'll leave it open, but fair warning. Thanks.

You need a biast magazine to tell you which console is the best? Look, I buy consoles for game, and right the now the PS2 is owning the rest with its roster of awesome games out now and coming out soon which include MGS 3: Snake Eater, Tekken 5, DMC 3, Grant Turismo 4, GTA: San Andreas an more.

i no sum of ps2 games r just plain legend like f7, gta, etc. but x-box is clearly the better console. i mean look at the readings: it has a much faster processor to begin with; then it was the first to come out with hard-drive storage capacity & games like halo, half-life & counter-strike r pretty good too.

I have an xbox, gamecube and ps2 and I choose the ps2. Not because of the graphics or gaming library, but just because its the best if you just want to play and have fun....screw the dvd player. :sarcasm:

Hard-drive storage? Did you think about that when you purchased the x-box? Or did you think about the games itself? Yes, I agree it may have the faster processor but that does not mean it is necessarily the best. |

X-Box is so big it look like it can cover an entire shelf. |

it doesnt matter if its the newer ps2 or not. they both can. and PS3, remember those 3 letters.... |
Yeah theres no rule in saying how many updates a console is allowed to have. The PS3 will come out as well and the slim line is only a variation of the PS2 and in terms of size its way smaller than the bulky xbox.

well i can see there can be no end to this debate lol but the more the consoles compete the better it is 4 us. in the end it comes down to whatever each of us prefers. & my pick is x-box though i wouldnt say no to ne other console either :D

well, if youguys read the newsweek u should know that the public likes Playstation & the Xbox better than all other game system, with the Playstation faR exceeding the Xbox in terms of the popularity race...

thats mostly bcoz ps has been out there a lot longer than x-box has. & yeah i agree that ps2 & x-box together pretty much beat the #### out of ne other console but nintendo DS aint that bad. its got pretty cool graphics & easy to use controls. not to mention its so tiny & completely mobile

meh i have both the Xbox and the ps2..i tend to like the Xbox just a little better not sure y but just do...although i don't like howbig the xbox is and the controller size...but im hoping i get X box live by this summer :D

try to get x-box with halo2! thats what i did & saved bout 30 & i no that game is #### but online mode is sweet. they might've stopped that offer but try it if youcan

i already got Halo2 speacial edition...but its not as good as i thought it would be...but im just waiting for Xbox live then it should be better :D
