but think of how you acted the very first time you used a forum !
have you ever thought of looking into the help or did you just decided to TRY those button first ?

not much person want to use the HELP BUTTON...
why ?
because peoploe prefer l;earning by doing thing right off !
meaning they WON'T use that button because they prefer to learn by TRYING those different buttons !

anyway, all in all to say this rule is kinda screwy right now !

Don't count on KKS to teach every new person about the forum. Not that I am doubting his abilities, but he isn't exactly the calm, nurturous, "I wish to help in a non-violent way" type of person.

Christ... a whole community against me. And all because I made a rule against doing something that annoys... EVERYBODY.

People who go around reviving topics constantly like lost doggy and SENTINELS (if anyone remembers thos noob's) who revive topics that have been dead for 6 months with the only thing to say is: "COOOOOOOOOOL" really piss EVERYONE off.

...which is the basis behind this rule.

asshole: I could have sworn I said "no reviving under any circumstances", check your quote.

If you want to revive something for memories... DON'T! It would just be stupid to have old topics mingled among the new topics all over the forum.

And to add to that... if we only said "no reviving if it's useless" would really give ####'s the chance to go back and edit their emoticon to some stupid "this topic is old, what do you think?" kind of response.

DX Zero: Yes, we encourage ##### to read old topics, but sure as hell not to revive them! Think about it, if they started reviving them then how the hell would other ####'s gonna find/know it's old after a few weeks/months?

SSJKarma: That's exactly my point, new commers can't even see old threads until they either put on a search (which most don't even know how to) and/or figure out how to go through the old forums which takes a long time to get all the way back there.

...and yet for some reason they keep revivng them with the dumbest things "can I join your tournament that's been dead for a year?", " :buttrock:", "this topic is old", etc.

That's exactly why this rule should stand and/or some admin should activate some feature (if it even exists) to lock certain topics after x_ number of days of inactivity.

fear tetsuo: Please clarify exactly at what point this became an abuse of mod powers.

A simple "new rule" which is exactly what the rules section is there for seems like nothing overstepping a mod's bonds...

not to mention the fact that if mods wern't intended to make new rules they wouldn't even be allowed to post there...

or that I made sure that I had it approved of by some mods and both admins.

So please, if you ever find any basis for your oppinion in that matter, notify me...

sk8erfox805: I don't know about any topics being deleted in the new person help section. Topics have certainly been locked... but I would love to hear some examples (plurality there meaning more then 1) of topics that have been deleted.

[quote:post_uid0="fear tetsuo"]Tisk, tisk......Abusing his mod powers.............. I really hate kiss ass's.[/quote]
I have seen this statement a couple of times around here (in the game and forum.)
It kinda pisses me off too.
Are YOU and other people that say this jealous of 2000warrior or something?
"Where did this crap originate from?"
2000warrior a kiss ass, how do you figure?

2000warrior is doing his job, and is doing a good job at it.
If people cant see this...then they obviously dont understand what this forum is, and how it is meant to be used.

NOTE: This forum is "specificly" a place for TMyApp to receive feed back about the game. I/E: BUGS!
A place for TMy to inform the public of things going on within the game and it's community.
As well as a place for any member to recieve help.
It is NOT meant to be a hang out spot for spam.

We have a non-related section for spam...and the Mods and Admin's barely monitor that section...so go nuts :D ,but not over board.

Ok how 'bout we lay off these geezers, it seems they really don't feel like negotiating.

I guess that if there's a topic that you would like to revive for old times sake, ask for permission from the mods. Although that will get extremly tedious at times, I cannot see any other solution at the moment.

SSJKarma 11-30-2002 11:30 AM

2000warrior: that is why i said i wasn't against this rules, it is justify as it is true that loads of persons WERE doing it !

i too was here from a very long time warrior, i too have seen the worst in this forum ! i know the rules and does my best to keep em in place. that's why i told you about the SEX TOPIC. but you must admit that when this forum changed from the OLD to this one. that kind of spam disappeared with a rate of 299/300. meaning i never saw any old toipic gets revived in the last 4 months !

why because people now know that topics that doesn't show up are more then a week old. for hell's care i don't even go with the topics in the 4th page of the week !

just tell me one topic, that has been revived with things that doesn't relate to anything ?
that was my whole point 2kwarrior !

again, your the mod, you do the rules, but honestly, we "THE PUBLIC" are the very first concerned about the situation !
i too think it is retarded to do so.

teach every new person? hell no, that's tarkan's job
I help thoughs who I choose to help.

Ok about this little debate. I don't see what the big deal is. I'm with 2kwarrior and nosoul.
I see no point in reviving these old topics, even if they are for memories. If you want ppl to see an old topic, do what AXE did in the general section Make a new topic and give the link. I don't think it's that difficult.

I don't even think those non-xmvssf sections should be there. As nosoul put, this forum is a place for tmy to get feedback. The senshuk forum was created for members to hang out. So if you guys want to revive old topic, go crazy and do stuff that the mods prolly won't see, do it in those sections.

Gotenks13 11-30-2002 06:34 PM

KKS, if they shut down the Non-Related section, you'll just get more ppl at BG .

I'm not sure which side to be on...hhmmm...I don't relly have much to do with reviving topics...so...I go with the new rule.

SSJKarma 11-30-2002 09:36 PM

i'm not against it either !
but i want to know WHY the mods are MAD at as i didn't saw any old topics get revived in the last 4 months !
except for that TOPIC that TARKANX had strated, but i don't think it was necessary !

again, if the mod locked the topic, the peoples wouldn't be able to keep it alive !
