The topscores should state the streak of a fighter. Such as best win streak and current win streak and vice versa.

Tidus thats a great idea other then what he said the top scores are fine how they are.....Blanka what exactly do you mean?Do you mean you are going trying too get the sfo top scores changed or are you going to create another top scores for maximum spider?

blanka09 09-30-2004 02:36 PM

Good point... but seriously, how would it help the rank.. the whole point here is to help calculate the actual rank of the fighter.. how would the streak.. or anything you guys mentioned help that cause??

In that case I think that the top scores are fine how they are...=\

About 2 years ago, I was pondering on how the top scores could become better, but since I don't play the game much anymore, I stopped caring, but this topic gave me something to think about and here are my ideas:

(This only applies for one on one by the way)

Let's say that a higher ranked person is fighting against some (that is obviously lower), presently, if the higher ranked person wins the match, they will get the usual 10 points, but my idea is about a battle judge system

The scoring is based off of -10 and 2-10 ("-10" being that you lost the match). For each round, you will be judged on how well you fought from a scale of 1-5, so let's say that Mr. X and Mr. Y engage in a hard fought round, probably the greatest round ever, it gets down to the wire and Mr. X comes out victorious, Mr. X will get a score of 5, because he displayed so many skills that are some of the best ever seen. And let's say in the next round, Mr. Y let's Mr. X beat him, with Mr. Y barely fighting or not fighting at all, Mr. X will receive a score of 1, because:

1. Mr. Y didn't barely fought or didn't fight at all

2. Mr. X didn't show the necessary skills it takes to receive a high score

3. It would be assumed that Mr. X was fighting for rank and/or Mr. Y gave him the free win.

So since Mr. X got a score of 5 in the first round and 1 in the 2nd round, he would then receive a total score of 6. What this means that if Mr. X kept on fighting Mr. Y and Mr. Y dind't fight back (which would make continuous or almost "perfects"), then for each match, Mr. X would receive a score of 2, but if Mr. X engaged in some of the greatest epic battles ever and won both rounds, Mr. X would receive a 10. Also, if you get a time over in your fight, you get deducted one point (this doesn't apply to people who would score a 1 in their fight or put the timer to off.

So in a specific round to receive the following scores, you have to:

Score of 1: Fight terribly, not showing too many skills (throwing projectiles all day for example) or getting a free win.

Score of 2: Medicore fighting, the fighitng that could usually be seen if you face someone.

Score of 3: An above average fight. A fight that would be in the tournament-level setting.

Score of 4: A very good fight, a championship worthy fight

Score of 5: One of the greatest rounds ever, skills used are very high, lots of normals, specials, helpers and super moves used as well as making very little costly mistakes (getting hit is fine, it doesn't even matter if you had an inch of health left), the fight would be excellent to watch.

Point for if you lose:

Score of -100: Not fight at all or barely fight

Score of -10: Lose the fight, it doesn't matter how well you did

I'll post my other ideas later that relates to this.

Ah... now we're getting somewhere.. Tarkan speak to me on MSN... I'll need a full documentation of this idea... it's just what we need at this point in time

yea.. to elaborate on what tark said.. wat a gr8 idea.. points judged on how technically efficient your character is.. for

eg. using all the moves for your char, varying moves scores high points.. like for instance.. you pull off ryus dragonuppercut special you score more points.. that would be so much better man..

whereas the sentinel user, using rocket punch to win only scores low points..

:p definately getting somewhere..

Yeah..I lduno, i mean i think they should just have a tournament rankings or like give people more points for fighting in tournaments and what not. Oh and just track down every cheap fighter and blacklist their ass. lol people know who is cheap and who isnt. Just gotta form a census on that sh!t.

Maybe the score could divide fighters up into like the forum

Master
Super advanced User
Advanced User

etc etc

and for example if you beat a master youd get more points etc etc

And your catergey you fall into could be sorted by wins 2 losses ratio on sfo.

for example a master may HAVE to have a 10 wins to every 1 loss ratio etc etc. ???

any1 like?
