HOLY SHIT!!! I though you played crappy in the game and got Shin Akuma on his weak form, but why in #### would you try your hardest and take on Shin (God) Akuma??? The guy is like Akuma + Geese + Evil Ryu!!! He has double fireballs and that Raging Demon, the first time I saw it I cried. Basically this guy is using Dhalsim. Wipes the floor with Shin Akuma. Shin Akuma is half strength and Dhalsim is like a 99%. So Shin Akuma does the Raging Demon from across the screen. Now we all know in alpha he does 3/4 of the screen, but not100% of it. So as a joke he makes Dhalsim taunt, because he know Shin Akuma can't touch him... What happens... The ten symbol and Dhalsim at like 0-9%. Shin Akuma in that game is dangerously strong. The guy makes Geese look like a hand puppet.

I know it! It was hard enough just getting to him... I had to get perfects on almost all of the people (I guess, that was the only special thing that I saw). I got Shin Gouki with a Dan/Ken/Evil Ryu team on the hardest level. I'm just not satisfied unless I fight on the hardest level. That fight was insane! I was using a custom groove (concentrating on running chain combos combined with dodging and the "P" groove meter), and if I had not used that groove, I would have been toast.
Dan took off about one-third of Shin Gouki's life (don't ask me how; I still don't fully understand). I then performed the Chouhatsu Densetsu (the only super move that is a taunt). Shin Gouki did not approve of this and toastied Dan with a super move (Gouki dropped from above, striking Dan down with one blow) that I did not know the name for. Ken was next up, and had more luck than Dan. Whenever I thought I had Shin Gouki with a good attack, he amazed me with his assortment of attacks. I took half of his life away, then he knocked me senseless, dizzying me. He then used the Shun Goku Satsu, and Ken was overkilled. Evil Ryu vs. Shin Akuma... now that was a great, intense fight. I wish I could have recorded that, just to look back on it and say: "WHAT?? HOW'D I DO THAT?" It was back and forth for most of the fight (I took off some life, he took off the same amount of life with one attack). At the end, he had me very badly beaten and started the Shun Goku Satsu... so I countered with my Shinkuu Hadouken (I think). He fell down and went boom. I won (barely), and I now have Shin Gouki. Now that I have him, I use him as my training partner in training mode. He is always set to the hardest difficulty, and it is very fun figuring out how to break his defense for a combo, rather than a single hit. Largest non-super combo I landed on him was seven hits from Ken. |

Steventhebol, is the game Jax and Daxter good? It seemed to me the the characters looked cool and that the game play is similar to Croc, BanjoKazooie, etc. ;)

I looked up how to get Shin Akuma after I got him (I wanted to be able to do it again if need be). Generally, you need to get first strike on all but six matches, get a score of 1,600 or higher, and/or get perfects on most of your matches. It doesn't matter what difficulty level it is set on (it really doesn't; he fights at the max level even if you have the game set to level 1).
Oftentimes when you beat the final match you see Rugal standing on the roof, then you fight him. If you've done it right you instead see Akuma's outline and Rugal's outline on the roof. Akuma kills Rugal, then becomes Shin Akuma. Defeat Shin Akuma (it really isn't easy) to make him selectable. You have more than one try, though; if it doesn't work with one team then select another. I think that there are also two other secret characters (given the two other empty squares in the Training Mode select screen), but I don't know how to get them. I only look things up after I do them to verify that I know how I got it. Next up, yes, CvSNK2 is on the Dreamcast. It wasn't advertised as being on it because they were also releasing it on the newer systems, just like how whenever a game for both the Playstation and the Nintendo64 came out, they only showed the Playstation graphics. It is basically the same as the PS2 version. Finally, I didn't know the Japanese names until now because this was my first encounter with those names. Until CvSNK2 (Japanese version) I had only played American versions of the games. Just one question for anybody who can answer it: what does the symbol on Shin Akuma's back mean? I know what Akuma's symbol means. |
Dan, nice info and questions (www.gamefaqs.com). Well still Shin Akuma is beatable, but I go with Geese, Rugal anybody, but him.
|
What do you mean? Did you fight Geese at the end of the game? Geese challenged me before the final match, before I fought Shin Gouki. Geese took Dan apart, but was defeated by Ken.
Or did you mean that you would never use my team to fight Shin Gouki? Dan did manage to hurt him, even if it was just a little bit... So the Kanji on Shin Gouki's back reads, "Man of God"? If that's the case, then his superiority complex has gone through the roof (not without good reason, though). In my opinion, it seems like Capcom (who made CvSNK2) made the SNK characters worse than the Capcom characters. Ryo is slow as ####, Nakoruru is fast but weak (even with her sword), and Rugal is a very unimpressive boss. Geese is the only person that can take out my first person, SNK-characterwise. |
There is like a 50% chance I think then you can face Geese or Shin Akuma, but Shin Akuma is faster and Geese is stronger. That is why I would rather fight Geese, but the bad thing is though if he hits a Ratio 1 person 4 times there are most likely dead.

I don't play ratio mode. I fight 3 on 3 or single matches.
You can't tell me that Geese is stronger than Shin Gouki1 When Geese throws me, it takes off about 10% of my life. When Shin Gouki throws me, it takes off 50% of my life. In 3 on 3 matches, you could be hit three to five times (depending on the moves) and you'd be dead. Geese doesn't come close. Geese's super moves take off about 50% of my life. Shin Gouki's supers kill me if it touches me... period. Immediately before the final fight, every time, somebody challenges me. The first few times it was Vega (M. Bison in the U.S.). When I became better at the game Geese started to challenge me then. Same deal at the end; Rugal usually challenged me after the last fight, but then Shin Gouki started to as I got better. I fought both Geese and Shin Gouki in the same run (both of them were... not nice to Dan). The way you type it, it seems that it is different in the arcades, which just doesn't make sense. Facing secret opponents on the DC is based on how well you fight, so if you suck big-time you don't fight Vega (M. Bison), Geese, Rugal, Gouki (sometimes just normal Gouki challenges you at the end), or Shin Gouki. I can only assume that there are two other secret characters. |
Are you talking about God Geese?? The one who throws Akuma's body away as his starting pose and his clothes are ripped?? I am talking about his super. Let him do that on Dhalsim. Dear god that is ugly.
