I'm only going to say this once.. if you wanted to delete all the unused accounts, it'd take 4ever.

You'd have to delete them all manually.. which takes time.. time TMy doesn't have. I dunno if leftyfb even has that much time/patience.

Besides, the forum loads plenty fast. Since the forum loads plenty fast for me... I can safely assume it does it @ least 5 times faster for almost everyone else. :biggrin:

by the time i was here...
there is 2 things i know for sure now...

1 - they don't have anything with the speed
it's not because the server have much to go thru that he will be taking longer times he doesn't check everyseconds on the list he checks only when you log in so it doesn't bother the server to have a long list of names !

2 - it is thru that an account not used in here for more than 6 months is "probably" not even used, but... the forum and the game aren't using the really same list of username. so when someone register at the game it is registered at the forum but if the person play's alot but never posted here they would have problems with their account and tmyapp would have lots of flaming that he doesn't need to get !

the best representation given here about this is the number of vote there was for spiderman, there was about 300 but all those had never showed up in here, but they are player they just don't post !

now, that is why they don't delete account !
they can't, unless they know for sure that the person doesn't play ! they simply cant do it !

2000warrior--u dont have to do it manually. I am reminded of a game called Dragon Court (www.ffiends.com) in which, if you did not use your account for 3 months or longer, it was automatically deleted. Basically, all of our accounts will be pending deletion, with an internal countdown starting at 180 days. Every time you post, the counter is reset to 180. if it reaches 0, your account is deleted. simple as that.

viper... from my experience with ikonboard, it doesn't HAVE that feature (and if it does I'll be fairly surprised). You'd have to process them ALL manually.

Trust me, TMy's not about to sit around, manually deleting thousands of accounts.
