[quote:post_uid0="dominicankid098"]I am the definition of PWN.
I have proved it many times kicking all your asses in sfo many times. Damn I am rusty, haven't played in 4 weeks. And don't plan to anytime soon.[/quote] I'ts nice to know that. But we're looking for where the word "pwn" or "own" came from. We know what it means. Now we need to know "if anyone knows" where it was first used. |

that's funny, so it was mispelled. I had a feeling it was. Well, the long-awaited answer has been found. |
only you people will guess these correct
|
Not sure if the Warcraft statment is fully correct, but it is just a misspelled word, like where almost all of this "leet" speak comes from.
It's hard to get an actually pinpoint on these things, but a strategy or FPS is an ideal choice. People say they "owned" you in a match. Misspelled to "pwned". Might have happend in several games and then people kept doing it. Just like "n00b", "j00", "teh", "1337", and so forth. It starts by a type or someone trying to be "cute", and goes from there. |
I thought warmor was Nj -_-'
