Jeeze dude! How many programs you got!? I would recomend deleting the ones you dont visit mostly or copy pasting a few, that would make your pc run a bit faster, but it wont help anything with viruses.....Btw, mastergrim8, i dont like that thing in your signature! It knows all my computer stats, and what is IE 6?

Metal_Ken 07-14-2005 10:29 AM

I had that same virus I had to reformat my whole CPU because of it.

mastergrim8 07-14-2005 10:49 AM

oh the furry monster is not to be ignored but back to virus topic you can go on some sites that tell you how to manualy remove them forever

vx_unicom 07-14-2005 01:48 PM

Wow..., thats quiet a virus you've got there. As viper mentioned Antivirus is quiet helpful when it comes to removing viruses once in your computer, always make sure you have it. You might want to "delete" the virus as soon as possible, because it might replicate and pass itself undetected to multiple files.

Try reformating your computer, or just simply reinstall the whole system..., with the provided disc that you bought along with your CPU.
If you don't have antivirus, i suggest you install it, ASAP and then commence the setup.

[quote:post_uid0="alamgir"]Well I don't think he'll want to have all his old programs/files removed.[/quote]
make back-ups?

~Mastermax~ 07-14-2005 06:42 PM

no do not make backups, that's the worst thing that you can do, only make backups if you know that it's not infect, and never backup zips, those can easily be faked with hidden files, and are usually infected by most modern viruses.

[quote:post_uid0="viper2040"]as a computer expert (not someone with an Uncle whos an expert), i can tell you this

Antivirus is good at preventing viruses. Once a virus gets in, antivirus may remove it, but the damage is already done. Spybot will NOT help, nor will removal of junk files.

Best bet? find any cds that came with yer computer and see if one of em contains windows XP, and reinstall the whole damn operating system. If you need help, i MAY be able to mail a disk that can do it for you, but I'll need proof that you own a legit copy of windows.

i have the recovery cd but it will make it xp home and by send me a copy did you mean windows xp pro? well i guess i really don't have any choice anyways but for the mean while i'm just downloading cable cartoons with this one program and plug-in that is adware and a software bundler cause the blue screen is still on my comp and i really don't mind installing eveything again its not like it takes long

Rage_Unleashed 07-14-2005 11:20 PM

why not try getting a different antivirus. to tell you the truth norton isnt the best. after you reinstall xp i say get nod 32. it isnt free, but there is ways to get it :;): (get trial first) and next time whenever you download something always scan before opening it

mastergrim8 07-15-2005 06:17 AM
