It's a glitch. It like when u join and it doesn;t let you. But once it take u to the main menu and u click connect it take u to to the game instead of the chat

it happen to me also..
at the end it sayed:

i think somethin like that happen to me... i try joinin a game i click cancel then it shows back up me fightin who ever.... yea same thing happened to me to but i didnt care
