Because Tmy made them stand together. It looks like cut and pasted it. Because do you really think a X-men would stand next to sentinal. Which was there before. When it said dreams dont die.
Or it could be when ryu came to akuma to become evil. So that is y he doesnt look evil yet.

Well, it could be evil/dark ryu in a "surprise" update, like onslaught was.

Anyways, making dark ryu would probably be pretty easy (at least relatively), I mean, the engine is exactly the same (I think, but they still are, more or less), I think he just looks different. And maybe he has raging demon, I dunno. Oh yeah, he has Akumas symbol on his back.

or something similar to what ryu looks like in mvc1 when he does his akuma morph.

nop, there will definitely never be an MORPHING THING like in MvsC because AKUMA and KEN are STILL on the VOTE LIST ! which means they will be there and this would be stupid to put the morphing thing into ryu if the other two will be in the game !

as for the why the picture is here...
well, only TMYAPP can tell us the reason he putted that thing on.
but i think he just putted that in just to show:"WHO WILL BE NEXT ? AKUMA OR RYU ?" because apparently that's what we all have been wanting to have, AKUMA in the game since RYU came in !

i don't think he had anything else besides his head because its just like he did with the sabertooth and juggernaugh image !
he putted the sabertooth image and never did anything with him.
juggernaugh had his image in there too, but it like took about 4 months to have the helper availlaible !
in fact, he putted that image because we were all talking about him those days !
so i guess he just made a new image to put there without wondering about it !

i find the morphing thing really handy when i get bored of one type of fighting style so i change it up...

HA, its really funny using it against people who are good @ mvc but didnt know about ryu's morphing! :D

The picture was probably there as a rep for the whole
marvel vs capcom atmosphere
(it's not just streetfighter and the x men anymore kids)

and what better way for it, than akuma and ryu, the near best fighters in the game!

Or maybe it will be a VIP thing (like how it is with spidey/black spidey). But I think there will be some differences, so maybe TMy will put in a special code in case you want regular ryu.
