well i played SF2 for SNES a long time ago and stopped but now i own Mavel Super Heros VS Streetfighter and Marvel VS Capcom and those where enough for me to lean most of the moves :)
I STILL own Street Fighter II Turbo for the SNES! I can get some #### respectable combos in it, too... but this is about Guile's voice... anybody notice that it REALLY changed between the Street Fighter II series and Marvel vs. Capcom?
Yeah it has, Guile in SF2: the world warrior has a deep voice(which is cool), but in SSF2: new challengers, it sounds like he's got a hernia.... and then ti changed drastically on SFA3/Marvel vs. Capcom 2.
Man how games progress over time. Its amazing!
... and yet Ryu and Ken's voices have remained almost the exact same. Why was Guile's voice changed so much, when their's weren't?
Come on, I've played SF2, SF2 Turbo, Super SF2, Super SF2 Turbo, Alpha 2 Gold, X-Men vs. SF (Japanese Saturn version), X-Men vs. SF (arcade), Marvel vs. Capcom 1 & 2 (arcade) and Guile sounded like he had a cold when he said, "sonic boom" in the originals. Also, Charlie sounds like he says "sonic blade" or "sonic flame" in Alpha 2. And remember in Super SF2 how Ryu sounds like he says "Had-oo-ken?" Geez, it's pronounced "Had-oh-ken." It means "surge fist" in Japanese.

Charlie is no where nea saying sonic blade or sonic flame, well if you do his sonic breaK super move, then yeah, and Ryu and Ken sont very different, from SF1, to SF2, to SFA, to SF3.
Well, it was Alpha 2 Gold, actually. And that's Japanese. Maybe not in Alpha 2.
I heard a rumor that on playstation there is this this expansion pack that can turn japenese language into English language but i dont think its true.
I like Guiles deep voice in SFA3...he reminds me of a football friend from high school heh ;)
I think I'v played all the Street Fighters except the one where the are all chibi...and I own: Marvel vs. Capcom - PSX Marvel vs. Capcom 2 - DC Capcom vs. SNK 2 - PS2 Super Street Fighter 2 - SNES Street Fighter 2 - SNES Street Fighter 2 - Game Boy Street Fighter Alpha 3 - PSX Streef Fighter 3: Third Impact - DC And..####...thats to much SF =\ I remember tearing up that SSF2 on my SNES back in the day :) |
