Please give me an explanation why throwing will give out so much lag, besides why delay throws when there's already so much lag...

Ok, Ever heard of PING?
like Q3 and the rail gun, I dunno baout you, but have you ever fired a insta-hit weapon with about 200-500 ping?
Now apply that here
Chun Li Vs. Zangif
You try to grab me, and I'm walking back, if I have the greater ping, then of course you'll grab me, but If lag comes in, I'll jump out, making you an easy target to start hitting on.

There's teleporting everywhere, throwing won't matter, since it's hard to actually find your opponent, unless they're an idiot, or just don't want to fight.

throws won't create that much lag... but they wont' work BECAUSE of lag...
what will happen ALL the time is u throwing a person thats really behind you (thus NO damage will be done)

well thats the same thing, i mean if u throw a shinkuu and miss, whats the difference?

My point is that Lag would be the sole determination of the throw.
but, TMy you own this, so it's your choice weither to do this or not.

ppl think that throwing is truly different than a regular or projectile attck, but its the same. Its like an opponent doing a really long hit animation that sends them across the screen. You know how the chars recoile in pain after being hit by a hadoken or whatnot? That automatic "recoiling" is like the part where the opponent gets thrown/slammed in a "grab" move (but obvously, as said, the lag makes it impossible to really tell where your opponent is). But, hey, if we voted for a character based on throws/grabs, its always possible to make him, only it would be frustrating to play with him/her.

<font color="blue">Throws would work in practice mode though, wouldn't they? That would still be cool even if you couldn't use it on real people.</color>

Could, but this is after all online, even the practice would lag.

Well, it's my deduction, it's never lagged for me, but this is online with a Shockwave interface, so...it could. And your right, let's leave TMy to do Spidy, god knows he needs more than 4 hours of sleep he gets.

Same, as TMy said from othertopics, the online game is just online files that you don't download, but request.
Download you have the whole game, but need to be online to play.

first: throws are good, but only if you know your opponent is very close to you like blocking all your attacks and even with lag it could still be succeed just like some shinkuu or even the hurricane kick works !
but i say, throws are just another move, work on something better then that, like making new characters for the game or even on reducing lag !
second: THERE IS NO LAG IN PRACTICE, why ? because it is all ON YOUR COMPUTER using ALL RESOURCE of YOUR computer. what makes lag is INTERNET ! on practice there is nothing called INTERNET, your on INTERNET but on YOUR COMPUTER so the PING is ALWAYS 0. meaning NO LAG at ALL !
if you see lag in practice then you are invoking the wrong thing as you experience FPS problems who actually are COMPUTERS problem. meaning your computer isn't strong enought to play the game !

throws = air .. ull get air not ur opponent .
no one is really stupid to stay close to zangief .. in a fight , and if u add throws , no one is gonna stay really close to ur opponent , btw the only matches that i see in the game are
ryu vs ryu .. = hadoukens all the time ..
