Router problems? - Can't play the game

This is not exactly my problem, but someone elses.

I bought a router and installed, etc... but I can't seem to play the game anymore. Is there a way to get around this problem?

check off "old connection mode" in options.. and/or "i'm behind a firewall or a proxy"...

if u'r router has a firewall built in, u'll prob have to make sure port 1626 is open...

if those do noffin'... and you can't even join games (not just host) then you CAN'T play this, and most other online games...
