View Full Version : Petition for super jump lock
Well it looks like i am not the only one who is sick of Super Jump Lock. So with some responses from my other thread, I thought I would start a petition to have an option to turn off Super Jump Lock if we want when we host our games. I am not saying I want Super Jump Lock completely gone from the game because some people actaully enjoy having it, all I am asking for is the option when we host games to turn it off if we want. Nothing more Nothing less. This doesn't seem too unreasonable since the poll to put it in in the first place only had like 12 votes total out of the entire SFO community.
So anyone that would like to have the choice to pick if they want Jump Lock on or off or not please post here and let Tmyapp know. Vote too also :D .

i think this has been explained already... but we'll go over it again.
Jump Lock was installed in an attempt to keep the game fair.
Otherwise...thats all you players would do.
Throw hadokens, power up, super jump behind your opponent, throw a shinku hadoken, super jump behind your opponent, throw a super...repeat.
All that fast left to right jumping causes teleportation on your opponents end of the game...as well as your own.
If you could super jump without limitation...there would be even more "pop-up/teleport into super" bugs then there already is...or should i say "than there was"
So will jump lock be changed so as to disable it?

jump lock is great because like nosoul said thats all you people would do and some already do it and it would just make it worst. i dont even super jump but it sure as hell gets on my nerves when players super jump all over

Well why not completely eliminate regular and super jumps all together? I mean, that would make it 100% fair and reduce lag so much. Not leaving the ground would cause there to be less lag. Why not do that?

Umm.. Didn't you hear what nosoul just said (he has a good point)? If the jump lock could be disabled manually in hosted games. It would cause alot of lag because.. Lots off ppl like to high jump, and that would cause teleportion on the other player's screen, as well as yours. Now the other idea.. Is good, I love it! Disabling super jump lock manually in hosted games would be brilliant.. I just love it.. Less lag.. Because, there wouldn't be so much teleporting.

i think it should just be left as it is, and that more important things should be focused on, rather than listening few people who want to be able to do constant super jumps.

jump lock keeps cheap spidey users from being as cheap, so normal spidey users don't get as much as a bad rap, so i totally support keeping it here

Take it off! I find it annoying as well. If im not playing as chun-li or cyc|ops its hard as hell to aviod Ryu Shinkuu-hadoken. When u KNOW its coming. And im standing here pressing down up only to see my character do a lil gay hop 2 times then when in the air coming down (Since the blocking is still buged) Get hit by the super.

[color=#000000]I doubt that he'll get banned for saying that mastermax. Well atleast add more jumps to it. You can only jump like 3 or 4 times then it gets disabled. sp

all you need is one jump to advoid one super fireball this is streetfighter online
were talking about when the characters pulls out crazy supers if there was no super jump
the game well be stupid cause ppl just keep there oppenent in the corner the whole time i think
they should just leave it how it is.

Hey if you take there jumping ability out people can get trapped straight into a plan of death... and not to metion that it would take out akumas second best super.

I was being sarcastic, because they put in a jump lock because people would jump too much and "cause more lag".. So i came back with a sarcastic comment about eliminating jumping all together to show how ridiculous it sounds to have super jumping limited.

Well my old comp had no troubles with jl, infact i was not aware of jl since i got my new comp, probably bcz the jl was up for a split second, now that i have my new comp its constantly bugging me, so a option of turning off the jl isnt a bad idea, if it causes so much lag maybe the jl could be restricted to only 1 on 1 no tag matches.

alright, here is the "scoop"
super-jump = lag magnet
it causes NOTHING but problems... JL simply makes the whole thing 20% less anoying (that's about it)
the reason why it was put in with so "few" votes (as someone has mentioned) is because some guy named TMyApp was also "for" the idea (and he counts for.. say.. 50+ votes alone :biggrin: )
so... how i can put this... this idea aint gonna happen until i see a LOT more support for it :biggrin:
