Heres an idea i came up with that alot of people may like.
Now EVERYBODY has at one point asked. "Whens the next character poll?" or "Where can I vote for Akuma?"...or something to that matter.
Being a daily visitor here...and having been here a LONG time...I personaly (and others im sure) am very tired of these "character poll" topics.
with that in mind...heres my idea.
Why not start a character poll with all the characters projected to be installed into the game. (TMy specails excluded ) That can be reached via a button on the main page.
Having this button will allow new players to immeaditly place their vote as to who they would like as the next character introduced into the game...(hence killing the need to create a "character poll" topic)
Players may vote one time only.
After voting they are presented with the current poll results.
And will be presented with the results page every time they click the "charater poll" button from that point forward.
The page should also state the projected date that the poll will be counted, and when production of the most popular character "should" begin/end. With possibly a picture of the previous character poll winner at the top of the page.
After the poll has been counted.
The winner of the last poll is removed from the list, and his picture is added to the top of the page.
The poll would then be reset....and would run until the next projected closing date...wich of course could be left as "To be announced"..but of course would allow the players to still place their vote one time only..and then track their favorite characters standing in the polls, untill the next reset of the poll.

very nice idea
Well... the problem with that would be people running around "cheating" and voting on multiple sn's. However, if only a button is added (not sure if you're talking about a button on the game leading to the voting section putting it in the game).. TMyApp could still use the reg. ip checker he's got in there instead of creating another one for the game.

yes there would need to be a way to prevent folks from voting several times...just like when ever TMy opens the polls regularly..the players must log-in to vote.
How the log-in process is dealt with to prevent "double votes"...well..that's where TMy skills come into play :D

it's a good idea nosoul
i think it's a good idea but ppl will still make those sort of topics even after it's put in to try and get ppl to vote for someone or just asking who everyone voted for so the only way that it will be completely stopped is if there was a rule made about it or something...but good idea still

Yes, it is a good idea :alien: ...but still I think its ok for people to try and persuade others to get them to vote thier way.

True about the "who voted for who?" and "vote this way!" topics.
But my idea does kill/dampen the "Who's the next character?", "Whens the next character coming out?, "Where can I vote for so and so? topics, as well as should put a dampen on the "I want so and so next!" threads..... simply because the information is already set in stone on the voting board in plain view for everyone to see....
And yes..after going through such extents to present the information to the players in a fashionable manner..that keeps them well informed about the character development of the game.....and that kills the need for people to create such common threads as stated.....A ruling should be made, and up held, about players creating topics about the formentioned "common questions"...i agree :D
TMyApp: Im invisioning something that looks almost exactly like the scoreboards in appearance as a results page.

Damit... misread your post (several times). Yeah.. sounds fine, but TMyApp DOES announce these in the game whenever the topics are started. What needs to be done is the url added to the faq to refrence people who say they didn't know where/how to vote for characters. *makes note*

pfft LoL :D
What nooby reads the FAQ?...they already know it all...remember :D J/K
Your right though. Adding a link in the FAQ to the Character Poll page would help.
