Helper codes should be removed

The whole idea of being able to select one's helper in a game with player ranking sucks. If even-skilled fighters have a match, the one with Psylocke always wins. This is getting irritating now that more and more ppl know the codes. So I think a forced random selection works best here, anyone agree/disagree?

LoL...there are rules to selecting your helpers unfortunately the host usualy get priorty over his guest..but you guys just havent fought against a player who knows how to use Spiral optimaly.and know how to get a "marvelous" with the superbeam.....when spiral is used properly...you can cause more damage than a person using spiral.....like superblasting your opponent when his back is turned..and before he regains his wits you swap sides and blast 'em again.....or barrage them...depending on wich character your playing.,,and i beleive Guile does the most damage out of all the helpers...(i may be wrong,but seldomly)

well, the helpers are tweaked in each version of the game...

in the next version u can expect the helpers to do no more than 3-5 hits, taking away less than 5/10% of u'r health

no more 10+ hits for psylocke/guile players :biggrin:

True you can win games with spiral if you use her correctly. Like for example if you use wolvie and go against a person that is using wolvie or ryu (or any other character that is coming out for that matter) and you use super jump in the air and the player on the ground accidentally tries to do a super on you. Since wolvie cant super jump all the way arcoss the screen ( unless u you use drill claw and go across the screen)you can use spiral to get behind the opponent your going against and do a super move on him.

Listen here...your helper does not decide the battle by any means. TMyApp, remember when we played, you had Psylock and I had like sentinal or Venom? Tell them how I beat you even though you had her? It doesn't matter what helper you have, like they are called, they help, not win the match for you. Just do what I do, if they use them during supers, try to do alot of supers the first match and make them use up the helper....but be sure to connect, and don't take any damage other wise.

Why do people bitch anyway? Your making this for fun and it's your project, and should be done however the #### you want, people have no right to bitch, your not making this game for us to go out and buy, it's free, and your own thing!

well heres a extremely easy way of winning without having to use a helper for a second. Most dont do this but bring your attack lvl to 3 with either wolvie or ryu or any other character that may come out for that matter and then use your super on them three times ( and if you accidently miss them dont worry. U can make your attcak go up faster since you are attacking) that shood take there energy to about 5% or even kill them.

bringing the level to three without getting hit numerous time is impossible. and doing 3 super in a row, you must be kidding this wont make you win cause someone like me who always do hyper jump can easily get past your 3 supers and the win will not be yours !

I was talking about EVEN-SKILLED players. On the top-ranks that means tactical battle and helpers are a very important factor. Psylocke is too fast, there's NO WAY to block her unless the opponent uses her at very obvious times. I haven't yet encountered ANY player who could use Spiral as efficiently. The best players tend to use supers from a corner, and Spiral can't teleport behind them. So please, don't offer anymore of that crap "the helper doesn't decide the outcome". And Warmor, I thought that this was the exact right place to suggest improvements to the game? That's not bitching or being ungratefull. Anyways, I hereby promise not to use helper codes from now on.

helpers help they are nothing but help they do not decide who you will win if this is the case for you then change your rival or you way of fighting cause for my part i never used help until really needed and that mean for countering a super not just making the helpers become an attackers

Yeah, I really think so. BUT it only applies to games where top-class fighters battle for the highest ranks. Haven't seen your name there. The fact is that it's cruel going, both try to wear the opponent's energy little by little and it's vital to know how to make most of the helpers. Against some random opponents it doesn't matter which helper they choose, they're still gonna get annihilated ;) Sometimes I decide not to use helpers anyway, but sometimes when I get bored I may launch all five of them one after another to finish off a crappy opponent.

then try me out shocky cause i assure you it is not the helpers who decide the winner but the way you play if you have to resort to your helpers to help you ATTACK
then your way of fighting is not the best cause for what i know the people who had to use helpers to defeat me was simply to push me back cause i always come near them so in that case they cannot do their super in front of me if they do they'll just watse a super cause ryu strongest kick will be devastating for them !

so if you think helper are there for attack then think again there not !

if its the case, then rethink i dont play much cause im on a 336 and downloading everytimes lag would be too much but everyone that i fought telled me that i was the best match they ever had on that kind of fighting

the only problem i have is the stupid Keyboard who refuse to make the move i want !

I've faced ShocWave, and he used to be in the top 5(he was a vet) and I had spiral, he had psylocke, I beat him like 15 times. So it doesn't matter, it depends on your skill.

Then that ShocWave dude shouldn't have been in the top 5 anyway if he sucked that bad. Maybe he got there by selecting Psylocke all the time, I don't know. But I've had many extremely tight matches, three rounds with the winner having just a drop of energy. In those cases the outcome would have often been quite different if both had used the same helpers or no helpers at all.

SSJKarma, I'm just saying that you'd probably think otherwise about this if you were fighting for the top positions. But anyway the most important thing is to fight with honor. And I think a continuos use of Psylocke, Wolverine's corner barrage trap or Ryu's hadoken is not honorable. You sound like you wouldn't do that kinda shit, that's good. I'm looking forward to fighting you someday.

Well let's hope I meet then. Meanwhile, I was playing just now and those helpers REALLY started to piss me off. Here's what some of the top ranking players did: if I challenged them, they denied. Then they challenged me back, and selected Psylocke! This absolutely sucks and is really pathetic. A bunch of scared wimps who won't dare to play without having a better helper than the opponent. Makes me sad.

Btw, at what times can I find you on the server, Tarkan? I think it's time to teach u a lesson too ;)

yes, you would be surprised. shocwave was my second real challenge, after tark when he introduced me to this game. after playing you, and him, hes most likely to win. granted, your good, but tarkan is far above most people in this game.

Shock : that's true i hate blast duel (hadoken) but saiying people just play like that it is a mistake to say so every oppononet that i fought would rather die than making blast duel and beleive me there is lots of people like that and in the case you fight in the top score than it's normal, people just get worse when fighting for something and they use whatever is possible to beat the #### out of someone just to prove to themself that they are good but what kind of man need's to do that ! i know that im good so why would i prove to other that i am ?

Some word always keep coming in my mind that reminds me that THIS IS JUST A GAME its nothing more than that.

for the blast duel thing... People should think that the game concentrate on the HAND-TO-HAND combat not super combat so no i dont fight like that i prefer a good ol HAND-TO-HAND fight than a superblast them all fight ! and that mean that i use shinkuu but not always i use hadoken to push otherand i use tornado kick sometimes i think that is a good fight.

PS: i never choose my helpers i let the comp do it !

I disagree, because helpers just help..Psylocke doesn't mean you'll win the game...In fact I think the green squid does more hits.....but I really don't know....I disagree, keep the helpers

The helper you choose does not turn the battle imediatley into your favor. It only depends on how you use the helper (no matter who the helper is) and how good you are.....

You guys still don't get it? If you'd have to play against yourself (like Jet Li in that sucky movie The One), you would LOSE with that useless robot and WIN with Psylocke, provided that you can use them well. It's just a question of which helpers break the opponent's supers quickest/most efficiently. I still haven't met anyone who could use Spiral or that robojunk so well that they'd select it willingly, but most of the top players seem to select Psylocke every time. Now, is that just a coincidence? Do they just like the way she looks? #### no, they wanna maximize their chances.

Anyways, now that we got new helpers this isn't so much of a problem anymore, because the squid and Sakura are great and the chance of getting robocrap or Spiral is now reduced.

Sure. Helpers help, and some helpers help way more than others.. that's why they should be randomized always.
