Server reservations for tourneys - Is it possible?

*i dunno really where to post this so pardon me if this is the wrong section (just move it where you think it fits)*

so, do you think it is possible to reserve a certain chat server (example big bertha) for a certain tourney?

if it is...my suggestion is sumthing like this...

on a particular day and time, a certain chat server is reserved (example WT) for a tourney
only registered players for this tourney can come in, meaning those ppl who are not registered cannot get in
this way, we can prevent hassles in games
i know there are ppl who only goes online just to chat and dont wish to play and there are whos eager to play, either they wait to be challenged or ask someone to challenge them
and most of the time this is annoying

so is it really possible? ???

Yeah I think that's true since some people justcome to talk you can reserve a server for a tourney.

i'll answer that since i asked the question not so long ago !

i have been said that it wouldn't be possible and will never be...
why ?
because...
1 - there we already don't have much servers at our disposal. that means we would need another one just for that. which no one have the connection to do so !

2 - the fact TMYAPP would have to completely take a full day to actually block everyone or implement a second check to see if the person is allowed on the server. this not including the time he would have to take to actually recode the password and username of every single competitors in that same tournament !

3 - HE doesn't have any spare time to give to that kind of projectx because THIS GAME is already taking it all !

<font color="blue">Maybe TMy could make an announcement saying that only people in that tournament would be allowed in, then a moderator could stay in the servers and kick people. But then they would just come back in... ??? is there a way that they could be kicked out for a certain time limit or something?

The only problem with that Scorponok is, how often do you see a mod/admin in the servers? Once a month, if that?

It would be too much of a hassle to only allow touny fighters to enter a server. And if tmy actually did do this, there would have to be A LOT of ppl in that tourny. I'm talking TOC one sign up's here. I've yet to see a tourny since TOC that has enough members to deserve its own server.

As Karma said, we have 1-2 working servers at a time. To take one away from the public wouldn't be fair. Even only for a few hours.

Now perhaps if an admin(lefty and tmy only) ever hosted a tourny, and they would obviously be in there the whole time since it is their tourny, they could do something like that.

But I wouldn't get your hopes up about tmy and/or lefty EVER hosting a tourny.

and besides, its not like its for the entire century, only for just a limited time (schedule as you may call it, btw, this is with conjunction with the tourney calendar some1 suggested)
