Sfo messenger - Instant messager for streetfighteronline

Well since the game and the commniy has really growned over the past few years, there should be an instan messnger. You can set your settings on how you want, and there can be 2 different list. (Dont get me wrong u can still add lists to ur buddy list). The 2 main lists should be "Forum" and "Game" to show the people whos on the game and forum. Updates can be made to the Messager every time the game gets updated or so. The good thing is that tis idea has nothing to do with "Lag" so it wont interupt the game (unless ur fighting with it on). So what do u people think?

True, true , i use AIm too but since alot of people dont have msn/aim/icq/yahoo. This can be an atnerative.

^^^ Yea, ppl will still use the other messengers. Thats y instead of giving the sfo messenger same features as Aim/msn, w can add Sfo features 2 it like:

When ur in a tournament and ur wondering ifur opponent is active, can right click or check ur opponents screen name account and see when were they last logged on, and the time when there usally on.

And others that supports Streetfighter Online

You just listed off four messnger programs, alot of people here have 2, maybe 3 of those programs. Besides if the rarity of it occuring where someone didnt have a messenging program, would'nt it be easier for them to download 1 of them instead of installing and creating a program everyone has to download..

I don't think its a bad idea, it would be a lot easier to contact ur fellow fighters. know when they are online. but in a way its a bad one too.

Its pretty simple to just get aim. but tmy is really busy right now seeing that he's planning something big for the sfo community with a new character and all. So maybe in the near future.

hate it : i get about 15-20 new people iming me a week, all "sup, i r n00b in sfo" and im like "i dont care *block*"

SFOMessenger would just be another way for people to bug me.

TMYAPP ADDING AN INSTANT MESSENGER ON SFO IS PROLLY JUST AS BIG AS A PROJECT AS WHEN HE RELEASED TAG TEAM MODE...

it would be impossible for anyone to get popups for every instant message they sent cause first this is a shockwave/flash game..

SO IT IS NOT GOING TO BE LIKE THE MSN WHERE U GET A NEW WINDOW FOR EVERY INSTANT MESSAGE... THE WINDOW WOULD OPEN INSIDE THE GAME AS A BLACK BOX WITH YELLOW LINES AND GREEN FONT.. A BOX LIKE THE BOX THAT COMES OUT LIKE WHEN YOU PRESS JOIN GAME AND THE BOX SHOWS YOU A LIST OF GAMES TO JOIN... it would all be virtual..

but i guess in this case it would need to be able to move around the box and minimize it and stay minimized on the game.

The messenger dosent have to be on the game itself. It can be a whole other system/program that dosent require Streetfighters Online to be running, just like Aol and aim. For people who have Aim, it dosent require American Online to be on,that way it cancels out the post you posted about the Instant Message box with yellow lines and green font and staying minimized when your playing.

It could be, Tmyapp can place it on the download page of sfo, and in order to login into your account, you must be registered on the game.

Thats why you make the sfo messenger features different. SO different u cant get it on msn/aim:

SOme features i have in mind:
able to detect other users that are on the forum or game, so it will be more easier to fight for tournaments.

And it dosent matter if it comes later on in the game, or on the next update. As long as I see it, and i know you ppl know that I came up with the idea, im cool. :biggrin:

Blah. Dont bother me with double posting.

It seems like no one else is posting here. So would a mod/admin post regauarding if this can be done. Ive answered most of the problems/questions/concerns that people has posted here with answers that will make the messenger more better then aim/msn. It dosent have to be for the next update or anything. but alot of people said it is a good idea, so what next?

I like the idea, in fact I have thought of this long before. Strange how someone hasnt brought it up until now. but, the way you describe it would be too hard. Too difficult, and way too time consuming. I cant quite describe what my Ideas are... or I am just too lazy to. I will illustrate it when I get the time. I have 2 ideas in fact. one MUCH more simple that the other. Although both are farily simple. Maybe these will promote the idea.

ha S.F.O Meaasger is nto a bad idea really it is a good idea but that would be a whole lot of work for TMyApp, so that might not work out.

Indeed it will take time, but you must remember something. It also takes time to add a new character to the game, and tmyapp has done that job pretty well. Plus dont you think that it will be easier? There most be some kind of site that makes you make your own messenger, and add your own features.

Yeah That's what I am tryin to say but if he take's a long time with it wich it will we won't get any new char's. If we don't get that then every one will quit because of the same old ass char's. So I don't think TMyApp would do that because he will want every one to stay and enjoy the game like we do right now.

No, problem isnt solved. If a new character dosent get added then people will still play the game. Theres been times when a character wasnt added for more then the time was given more then you thinked still played sfo. Look at the time peroid we waited on spider-man. He was suppose to comeout sometime in Octomber or Setember (or so i believe, its been a long time) and he didnt comeout until christmas was nearing.

And if you noticed, I didnt say anything about Tmyapp doing the messenger instead of a new character, for all I care, tmyapp could wait to the ending of the year to start it. It dosent matter to me, as long as he likes the idea. Besides tmyapp dosent have to do my idea anyway, another admin/mod that knows how to do messengers can do it intead, and that way you can get your precious character.

Yes, we have IRC chat. but it dosent give you the features that this messenger will give,

examples:

Sfo emoticons
Able to tell you if someone is on the game/forum

and alot more. PLus more people would use the messenger more, the IRC chat seems empty now.
