Another way to super jump - Somethin we can all agree on.

sup yall. i can super jump in this game ok but is it just me or is it kinda hard to do it sometimes. i say that we should be able to super jump by pressing 3 kick buttons at the same time like in the arcades and home consoles. plz tell me what yall think.

im serious. there are some times wheere i can do it with no problem. and there are other times when i cant do it to save myy life. thats why i think adding this would be useful to all. you can either super jump by pressin down up or by 3 kicks.

i find pressing the kick button three times to super jump rather difficult to accomplish alone actually.... so i think that pressing down and then up to super jump is a bit easier in my opinion

I am not hating cuzo but this topic was made before.
I believe tmyappz looked into it.
He fixed the super jumps a moderator was becoming angry.

The reason for that was is that.
He was having a hard time hitting his opponent.
Also that his opponents would keep.
Being cheap with the jumps always.
Dodging every attack and not just any the specials also.

In a fight in order to have a fight.
Two people or being must have.
Or reach contact in some point or way of another.

Whether physical or elemental or in terms of energy.
If both don't come in contact?
Then at what point the does the fight begin?

So I am only trying to say that.
If tmyappz was to go back and fix this thing.
For the jump or add a new feature to the game.
There could be consequences always good :biggrin: and bad :vampv:

Considering that he could spare the time?
After all he is kind of behind schedule as he mentioned.
So who knows he might be some what very busy.
Thinking of what else he could fix.

Yeah, you can only do a certain number in a row, then you have to wait for a bit before you can continue..

Scorp: What he means is that when you super jump, 1 out of 2 times you won't connect it, so we should have the 3 kicks(a variation of super jumping) to be implented.

I have this kind of problem myself, and it costs me matches(as of April 30, 2002). It does seem hard on a joystick/controller, but might not on a keyboard? And if we have the 3 kicks = super jump, I guess we should have the 3 punches = dash.

we had the two choices...
but while trying to do a super move, the jump usually is what the character ended up doing !
there was a problem with it that tmyapp couldn'T solve...
the key detection is a big problem in the game.
so he just got rid of it.

that's mainly why it was removed, as well as the dashes !
same hapenned there, so tmyapp kept it on the arrows which seemed not to give that problem !

anyway... i know what you mean guys...
i too have that problem, well we all have...
but the fact is, this game has a big problem with the key detection.
sometimes the game just doesn't seems to see the key you just pressed. that's what the problem is. it gets better and better every versions, but the problem will always remain !

so i don't think it is possible, i rephrase myself, i don't think it will solve your problem seeing how the super moves aren't actually working with the three keys method. that's why i do them with only two keys !

anyway... see the problem of that !

well both methods were easy for me cause on the consoles id just press the 3 kick button. i know that most people find it easy to press down up. but the 3 kicks method is grea too. i remember when i was playin this game on a console. i couldnt do the down up method cause my opponent was just rushin me. but when i pressed 3 kicks i flew like an eagle.

In THIS game...the 3 button thingy would be cool to have..aleast for ppl who find it difficult to super jump with the arrow keys...but for me my arrow keys are worn out so..i argree with G_Gundam! :D

3 kicks would be better because.

You press them then fight and jump over.
Some who is being cheaps with.
Their attacks for example dark dude x.

I just fought him first time he was very cheap.
I said a 1 on 1 he said you are not a killer.
Then he started the game.

Picture this fight he does 4 billion drillclaws.
I block half of the billion he throws.
He still takes off my life about say 13-25 percent.

I shoot a hadouken at him a few.
he stops for a second has a few seizures.
I hit him with some supers his health went down 2%?

Now I know about lag but something wasn't right.
Most of the people today I fought.
When I hit them I could see the damage.

I hit him so much his wolverine should have died.
So big deal you say he was lagging.
I am not saying anything about the lag :biggrin:

I am saying something about him being cheap.
Also cheating and what else optic blasting.
Every 2 seconds or less not even that.

I will say this the first game we fought.
He won by being cheap I admit he won.
The second fight I start beating him.

He restarts the game on me.
So tell me in there where was he fair?
Also I have to quit because I could not.

Even pick my own characters.
I wanted to fight him with ryu and cyclops.
To be honest I thought I had a chance of beating him.

So I do agree with gund@m and most people.
We should have this implemented.
The reason of people like that.

However letz just hope that lag.
Doesn't take it to us when we do.
Try and test out and if we do use the 3 kick jump method?

i said that back then, we had that option in...
thatmmean we could use the three key press and do the super jump.
but it was removed cause of th esupers that were actually not possible at all !

RESULTED in this...

you are suppose to hit the tree button at the same time to do the supers !
if you didn't know that, then younnever played any VS games cause they all have to press the tree button at the same time to them all !

but... since the start, it was pretty damn hard to hit tree buttons at the same time, cause there was problems with the key detection routine tmyapp had made... in a certain update that i don't quite remember... he fixed the key detection problem(at least for the supers) by making it 2 button press !

so before sayuing stupidities like that one... think a little kiddo !

Actually the normal Vs. Series uses two Punches/Kicks for supers instead of three. But considering how close the buttons are(Which is good), a human tends to press all three buttons instead of just two. Or at least that's how I think it goes.

i play about all the vs series games all day... pushing only two buttons doesn't works unless you put yourself on EASY MODE ! which i never play !

unless you're playing with an emulator which allow putting the three button press on a single key... there is no way to make a super if you don't push the three keys !

so how do u think akuma and evil ryuplayers will deal with that? what if one of our fellow xvssf players wants to do the ashura warp(backward/forward doesnt matter) whic is forward down forward and all three kicks or punches. what if becous of this super jump the ashura warp fails becuz the game engine gets used to connecting thumbless retards who cant press up down really quickly? 1 solution fellas : no more ashura warp which i find to be one of the coolest moves.
this idea is "REALLY" dumb. i dont like it.

thats actually a good point and it's not just for akuma and evil ryu...if we have to press 3 kicks to super jump that will mean that other moves will have to have their buttons changed as well, like ryu's tornado kick super. wolverines healing factor etc.

I dont think that pressing all three buttons would be a good idea cus then they could just jump out of being hit with a super, get behind u when you are preforming it and start beating the crap out of you. And since the way it is now, you have to hold down for about a sec and then push up to preform it.
