this is a poll and character discussion
who do you use ?
my teams are the following combonations:
1.juggernaut iron man cable
2juggernaut bb hood cable
3 and for abyss cable war machine and iron man
o and sometimes i throw in wolverine ,ryu ,ken,akuma,mega man, and(sometimes)cyclops
im into beam characters and (of course )POWER(juggernaut duh) so im gonna stop ranting and let you vote.....

hey, lol I don't really have an opinion yet about it cause I haven't really played it, but do you play online? If you do how much does it cast to go online with playstation 2? I'm not as much into video games as you all are, but since i started playing this game I've sort of been getting into them.

guess ill post since no one else really is. i like the game a lot. i mean where else can u team up ryu/ken/akuma and make them fight cable/cyclops/wolverine. you can do mad combos in this game. im the ryu master on that game. my friends dont understand how i can be that damn good with him. you have about 53 fighters to choose from so u can do thousands of character combinations. this is one of the best 2d fighting games.

yup but i like juggernaut hes the strongest character and doesnt take much damage. the only downside is, hes slow and cant jump high kinda like me :D

Yea I like the game, i used to play it alot but then stopped. I used to use wolverine,ryu,and akuma just becuase I liked all 3 of em.

Well my friend has this game so i rarely play it but I use: Team 1-Spiderman, Venom, and Iceman...Team 2-Cable, Captain Commando, and Iron Man or Warmachine...My main character in that game is Cable..because he's so damn cheap its easy to win.

yea i like cable 2 ... but juggernaut rulz 4 me. i use cable and juggernaut and cable in my most used team but cable war machine andiron man or mega man kill abyss in one triple team combo (in arcade thats kick 3 punch 3 at the same time)
im referring to the arcade game now in this poll but scince the xbox ps2 and dreamcast are exactly the same except for slightly altered controls so talk on! :buttrock: :buttrock: :buttrock: :buttrock: :buttrock:

i have it for ps2, its good. but i havent played it in a long time. i think my best team is guile,venom, and juggernaut.

If this game ever gets to getting to the GC, I`m putting all my money and getting this game. I played it in the arcade a lot(Too bad the dip switch for continues was off). Well anyway it was Cable, Wolverine, Megaman, but I was told to use Iron Man instead of Megaman. Worked like a charm. Got me to stage 6 at least.

:shocked: u can only make it to stage 6man ive beat the game on hard no continues and with cable iron man and juggernaut.im second on the high scores in my arcade the only guy who beat me was <span style='font-size:40pt;line-height:100%'>good</span>i mean he can beat me with 3 chars left and i whoop everyone else isnt that nice ??? ami good r wat :laugh:

It was my first time. Stupid of me for not saying that. The arcade I played must not be very active or something. I got first in the rankings. I think I would've gotten farther If I actually hit my berserker barrage X.

ryu was my fav character cause i know the full potential of what he is capable of. anyways im still pissed off cause they didnt give the game the online feature for the ps2 that they were talkn bout. if it was online then i probally wouldnt be playin this online as much as i do.

Finally a good topic. Well as some of u may know i love this game. It is my favorite "vs" series game out of them all. MvC2 is the only game i have ever taken seriously. I think it is a very fun game. Of course it has its share of cheap unbalanced characters ie:cable,storm,magneto,sentinel, etc..., but the game is very fun to play. I mainly only use top tier characters since i play this game seriously and enter tournaments and travel to other states to play ppl in it. I recently went to Nickel City in chicago and played against FLOE and Madbooface(go to forgo.net and check out their vids) for about 3 hours which was very entertaining. I have gotten to play against some of the top players of the midwest such as:juicy G, Madbooface, Floe,dereklearnslow,VDO, Mike Z. i play many teams such as:
Magneto/storm/psy
magneto/storm/cyclops
storm/sent/capcom
storm/cable/capcom
sent/cable/capcom
magneto/cable/sent
storm/cable/sent
magneto/ironman/sent
magneto/cable/psy
magneto/cable/cyc
Those are my main top tier teams but i do play alittle low tier when i wanna have a little fun. And to those who r thinking about getting mvc2 for ps2, dont. if u have DC get mvc2 for it(or burn i for free), the ps2 version sucks ass. But if u only have a ps2 then i guess u should buy it.

i use ryu, sakura, and ken for my team all the time but sometimes ryu ken dan... picking dan on accident though. i hate him... all the other characters are better duh but i like their style of fighting

finally people talk about this game, I bought this almost three years ago for dreamcast.

My team is Cable/IronMan/BB. hood you can almost destroy the third version of the boss with one team hyper.

kingryu-sorry but warmachine isnt one of the strongest characters.

capcom is short for captain comando. origanilly the capcom company was called captain commando but then they changed their name to what is known today as capcom.

by the way, i also like to use ryu/akuma/jin. jin kicks mucho ass if you know how to use him. and ive got a little history question for yall. what game did jin come from that capcom made. hint *it deals with huge robots* ;)

ok yea hes the soldier who punhes the ground in one of his moves ok i kno who he is.

o yea and he should b a male stripper bcuz he can take off most of his clothes FAST :D

you are right ssj3 goku. jin also appeared in the dreamcast fighting game called tech romancer with his blodia. for some reason my friend loves that game to death.

hey, i hope yall know that u can knock a structure down in mvc2. if your fighing in the clock stage and finish the fight with a super combo that knocks the opponent all the way to the right *example; kens shinryuken* then the clock tower will fall down.

u can kill abyss in all his forms in one hit if u use iron man cable and war machine in a triple combo.and cables viper gun will kill abysss second form eisily. :buttrock:

how could i forget about hayato. i love usin that guy and his combos. hey tj, you know that hayato has like a 20 somethin sword combo when he flashes blue. you have to press a lot of buttons in a sequence to do it.

if u do a combo and press kick one punch one (at the same time)punch 2 kick 2(also at the same time)punch3 kick 3(also also at the same time)if you do that fast then and start over when u get to 3 just basically start on the left and slide ur hand to the left then to the right quickly then ull do alright.

Wow he came in 3rd?Unless he is Mike Z i doubt he is an expert with Juggernaut,Iron Man and BB.hood.

well, i easily defeat the first two forms of abyss with servbot !
the third is something else, still i use only servbot and not even touched my two other chars and i whoop his ass easily !

tho the third form does major damage even when blocking, i still manage to survive it !
ABYSS is far from being the baddest boss i ever played, i think CYBER AKUMA gave me a lot more trouble !

anyway...
my favorite team is 3xSERVBOT
but i must say that i can't play that game without never changing characters all the times !

so i am good with some and others are just not my types !

basically, all combinasion of those are what i love to play with...

There's probably others but i just can't remember them all !
those i can't fight with are...
BISON, ZANGIEF, CABLE, STORM, MAGNETO, JUGGERNAUGHT

there is two thing i hate in that game.
1- the fact there is no more third hit button
2- three characters in a team is not somthing i love that much, two character in a team is good, but three ! what will be next, 5 on 5 !
i just think its starting to be to much !

i also like to use ryu/jin/dan.

dan hibiki kicks mucho ass if u know how to use him. i find that he is one of the best comboers if you know what u are doin

i know a good combo 4 akuma
do the dragon kick and when the opponnent and u are still in the air do the hyper air gouhadoken
ur opponent should be flung to the ground but will still be getting hit
then u can (while he is still doing hadokens) do the combonation fo ur next charachter's super (cable's hyper viper beam works especially well) and he or she'll come in and do it
u must b at leats level 2 2 do this devestating combo.(juggernaut also works well instead of cable or if ur level 3 u can do the combo 3 times [firts akuma ,then cable,then juggernaut]) :) now hat will definatly kill an opponent!(not to mention if hes using a helper!) ;)

oh im the akuma combo master. here are some combos.

light punch, medium punch, heavy uppercut, jump, light punch, medium punch, medium kick, tenma go zanku.

light punch, medium punch, heavy punch, hadoken, go shoryuu.

light kick, medium kick, hurricane kick, tenma go zanku.

ill post some ryu combos later on.

this other dude (that i beat) used the combo that i saidexcept he only did the akuma part, but i used cables anti air move and stopped him then right b4 he landed i used a triple combo(cable ,juggernaut,bb hood [devastating] and busted his @$$ :buttrock: :buttrock: :buttrock: :buttrock: :buttrock:

there are many combos u can improve on. i love doing the delayed hyper combos. here is my ultimate fav with ryu/ken/akuma but u gotta have 5 levels to do it.

do kens shoryuken hyper combo, do ryus hurricane kick combo, do akumas raging demon. this will take away mad health but. thats the best thing about delayed hyper combos.

Well i use dr.doom..sometimes i do a combo on the ground then when i get him up with one of those air punch i do this specials that he throws the fire ball on the air and bamm.

With storm i do 4 hit combo on the ground,then 4 on the air with lightning attack at the end and then her specials of lots of lightning.

Very easy tho =/

i would like to point out somethin. im deadly with ryu/cyclops/gambit. cyclops has mad combos if u know how to use him. gambit has mad agility and good comboing ability. and ryu is the all around. ryu has so much power in this game that it isnt funny. if you know how to combo wiht him u can kill opponents in a matter of seconds. here is one of my fav combos.

lp, md, hp, hadoken, shinku hadoken. this combo right here takes about 40 to 50% of your opponents health away. here is another good one. lk, mk (the 2 hit ax kick), hurricane kick, shinku hadoken. this one right here is good for knockin your opponent to the other side. here is one of my fav combos of ryu thats an air combo. lp, ducking hp, jump, lp, lk, mp, mk, shinku hadoken. ryus main offense is his hadokens. learn how to use them to do great damaging combos.

but u can bust ass with cable and his viper beam combos
do an assist with juggernaut and make him do earthquake then while its still hitting ur opponent then do either a hp viper beam or a hyper viper beam then do the keys to another super and make juggernaut come in
see, juggernaut does a ton of damage but can only do 4-8 hits

lol it took me a while to get gambit. but it didnt take me that long to get ken and akuma.

if u look close at each wolvie then ten the other one then one will b bone color and brown & the other will b chrome color
o and the moves are exactly the same i guess capcom just had an extra spot and put em both in ps i read it on the intrenet wher i too wuz wondering y there wuz 2 then i checked it out at my arcade and it wuz true ! ;)

Sorry about the double posting, but I asked a friend of mine and this is what he told me:

Weeeeeell. For one, some of Wolverine's cheapest moves and supers are scrapped in his Bone Claw version. And, completely defying Marvel's story about Bone Claw Wolverine, his defense is much lower than normal Wolverine's--whose defense wasn't that high anyways

i know the diff. one of them can do the tornado claw in the air and the other cant. one can do the super where he makes a big x and the other cant. those are the only diffs i found.
