I've noticed in a matter of minutes, like 10 RI topics were closed.

these were good, monumental topics.

"IF you look in here" by asshole was closed, a enourmouse 650 paged topic

"[kind of official cuz warmor made it]" was closed, a 600 paged topic

"thread" by saijin, also closed. it was 100 pages long.

not to mention other topics, with lesser value, also closed.

not that i disagree, but... why?

The closing of topics was an attempt to make sure ppl didn't gain posts off of spam. I think that tark will be closing all spam topics on sight from now on :cry:

Just cuz some have a lot of Pages don't mean anything. I admit tha ones that are like "I eAt cookiEz" and stuff are not needed, but "Warmor's Thread", "If you look in here" thread, and "THREAD!" were all wanted. Yes they have a lot of Pages, but this is R.I, as long as we obey tha General rules about sPamming, we can "get retarted" as much as we'd like. This IS Random Insanity.

leftyfb had a problem about people requesting for a random insanity subforum before.. users like razz, ewalk, and others asked for it and they never got it. And then leftyfb gives us R.I. What is the point of you closing the topics and still have the forum? That's pretty dumb if you ask me. And why are you worried about the "long-life run"? The game is not going to help you out in the long life run as well. This community won't help anyone in the long-life run. Loosen up, you are too strict in a game community.

i respect that the mods and admins don't like R.I. for that is their choice and option, and they r free to think as they like, but please be respectable and follow the rules that u guys have set. there is no flames no broken rules no need for any admins or mods to interfer or muchless close our topics. if youdon't like R.I. i suggest what u stay out of it. theres no real reason to come in here and cause trouble. As for closing R.I. u may have the power, but will it ever die? i really don't think it'll be possible. if you close R.I. chances r the posts in general will just get more silly and crazy each day. for if we can't post what we say here we'll probably just post it in another topic as an R.I. subsitute. Many people love R.I. for many different reasons just, because u hate it u can't decide that for the rest ofus. some ofus only post in R.I. and no where else. for u to decide on ur own to go on a quest to destory it is pointless. for people will just hate u for it, and more sterotypes will be put on the admins and mods. for it and as far as i can see u don't need any more hate mong the norms and u admins and mods we all already don't see eye to eye as it is. as for R.I it's the outlet for all the craziness, and should u ever take it out of the equation the craziness will have no where to go in the forum but all over and everywhere. R.I. is not only that, but players come here to relax we don't have to worry about any admin or mod peering down at us or telling us what to do, because it's R.I. no rules here, almost anything goes, and we can post and say anything we want as long as it's not flames and sexually orinated stuff. it's where we feel we can express oursleves the most freely in the forum at times, or just talk and relate to other players. You have the power to close it, but think it over and be fair, because i know app didn't pick u to represent him, and give u powers to abuse them he gave them to u because he trusted u, and thought you'd be just and fair to his fellow players of sfo.

i did mention that i would be doing that already...just as soon as you finish my buttons though that will be done...that way i can TEST it before making it standard on the Official forum skin instead of doing things like some1 else and messing up the forum :biggrin:

What you all have said hasn't seemed to be persuasive at all. You haven't given a good reason on why the topic are being closed. I still don't see how R.I. is helpful, when I look into the R.I. topics with 100+ posts, I don't see anything but nonsense. People have achieved just 1000+ posts by posting here, that's pitiful. but I guess I can't do anything about it, go on with your R.I., it won't help you or the community.

as a matter of fact, those topics were closed for they were first, going awefully late and old, they were more then a few months old, they wer ealmost a year old, they were pinned by mods for the fun of it, and then they were spammed thru, were becoming completely off topics and used no other purposes then pure spmaming contest byt he many ####s coming around.

TarkanX just had enough... consdier yourself lucky, he asked us to compeltely remove the RI section, so if it was for him, you wouldn't even get to have an RI section anymore !

as for topics getting closed... well you all pushed thru too far, many of you, what do i say, i should say LOTS and LOTS of you have been abusing too much of RI thinking no mods comes here thus no rules applies here !

example... the asshole spamming thread that you think was good, was nothing more then spam topic used to get his posts count up ! but you guys played along. we mods didn't care back then cause RI was barely our cup of thea... but fact ios, he had broken the spam rules. and lots of you do still do today by spamming all topics thinking no rules applys here...

get real guys, RI was never a free place free of rules, now the mods are angry and very full of steam cause you spammers have started to spam the whole place with useless thread that aren't even random and not even insane as it was suppose to. so we all decided to bring the rules here as well, for you all deserve to get a few warnings to understand that RI is not rule free !

conclusion... we have no choice, if we want to make this stop, we must apply the rules, thus the rules will be applyed even in RI !

Come on now vf, asshole, etc... we all know that R.I. has been abused lately, and it's primarly because ofuseless topics. I personaly wouldn't care if R.I. was taken out of the forum, however, there are those who truely enjoy posting here. I know dominican, vf, and asshole are fairly intelligent and can no doubt see that even their favorite part of the forum is being used improperly. Therefore, come to terms with the mods; make some form of compromise so that both parties are satisfied. As it stands now, this is just back and forth bickering. No one has come to the front and provided some suggestions as to how the confict can be rectified. The mods happen to be growing older-- in age-- and are starting to realize that such "random insanity" is a tad bit childish and serves no purpose when topics go so off track. They no longer see it from a 12 year old's perspective, and rightfully so. Make them see why this section should be left open, or be prepared to let it go. Vf and dominican, I'm sure you can cooperate and find some reasonable terms you can present to the mods as to how everyone can get along?

there r those who r listening. they're not what u guys think if they really were mean, and controllingm, and dictators as most ofuguys make them out to be R.I. would be closed down by now. without so much as a peep coming out ofuguys, but it's still here and it's still being fought over. i'm sure there r still those in power who r listening to our pleads, and many mods and admins can say a lot of stuff, but it's not up for them to decide wether if R.I. stays or goes. it's up to app they can post all they like, and close as many topics, but this stays open till App says others wise or closes it, but i doubt he'll do so without taking a hand count first. for think about it has he ever releasted a sfo character lately without taking a poll first he doesn't run a dictatorship he's not saddam or hitler. for that matter he does care about his sfo players. so i'm sure he'll take a vote on it before he closes anything down. he's a fair guy don't doubt the creator he has not wrong us in any way. from what i can see he does a lot of things he doesn't have to a lot of the time for sfo players. yes at time he doesn't have time to review everyones complaints and cases ofunfair treatment, but he's a busy man. he's got a life outside of sfo too who doesn't, but i know he'll not just close down a section of his forum without see what the players of sfo think about it

I think that's exactly what the Mods/admins are trying to cut backon; the flaming. Don't get me wrong, I am known to get myself into a couple of fire spitting exchanges between particualr individuals on this forum, but not without cause. So many flame wars are started over the dreaded "n" word--- oooooooooooooooooo-- I mean, this word is viewed as the real "n word" in this community. Either way, that's not the point. The point remains there are positives that arise from R.I. and there are negatives. Some members are just too young to respect certaing guidelines, and just use the section as their personal stomping grounds. Those ofus who have come to love the section, see it as an endroit to let loose and no longer be serious. However, joke around withen boundaries. Stupid posts such as "i love candy" in a "what's the difference between light and dark beer" topic, should not be tolerated. There are reasons the mods implemented those warning bars beneath our names, they should be used more often-- thats one possible suggestion. If you feel a member is out of line in a topic, slap them on the wrist with a warning denoted by one square, and move from there.

Seriously, I don't think that random insanity had any issues except iplay2win. She would spam every topic and would piss off everyone. Then when no one is online she would reply in each topic making sure her name is on the "last posted" column. Don't worry people, this is why you have the greatest PX/sfo/xvssfuser of all time to help you, dominicankid098!!! If I didn't pm an admin about the three rules she had broke, then you would all be putting up with her spam still. but as for now, mods are trying to take care of the R.I forum, which is pretty pathetic if you ask me. Spending time in the Random Insanity forum when you people should really take care of the idiots having cybersex in the public chat rooms.

So whateva, if I see that there is extreme complaining about a user, then I will be glad to take screenies and report the user. As for now, we all must rely on Cartman to keep the mods away from R.I. =)
