Whats more important? - Life or death?

If no one died the world would become over-populated and life wouldnt be able to exist. Though without life nothing could be born and nothing would be able to exist. So what is more important life or death?

Yes, but without death then the world would over-populate making life non-existing. This is really hard question to answer, could one be more important than the other? Without death would life even be possible? No it wouldnt and without life nothing would be able to die.. interesting..

Exactly, just think if people did live forever. Imagine the chaos, starvation, brutality. Also how would this actually work. Say you could never die though your head got chopped off and your brain smashed... What would be the point in living without a brain.. :laugh:

Yes, but over-population could only be cured by sending people to other planets. Though now im kinda getting off topic, but still if humans never died just think how many brutalities there would be from people just beating the poop out of each other.

Hell then think how civilized life would be. Think it would all be just one big happy go lucky earth? Hell no everyone would be like yay we cannot die so lets do whatever the hell we want. Everyone would go ballistic, unlimited fighting, people would not be safe anymore since no one would have a fear of death. They would be able to do whatever they were able to do. Imagine sitting at home and some idiot just flys through your window, then starts beating the crap out of you and your family for no reason. Then steals everything you own then kidnaps your wife/husband daughter son. ect... see death is needed to strike fear into the unjust letting them know that there is a limit to how far you can go.

Yes, because if people didnt die then the world would surfer alot more than it already does. Death brings about order, justice and peace. How so you ask? Well just think without death how many people would live in starvation, because of over-population everyone lacked food. Think how uncivil the world would become when people would rage war without fear of resulting in loss of life. Simple fact is without death life would be useless and the world would never progress. Imagine all the inventions and cures that we would lose out on. Just, because the people who had invented said, "Oh I'll just wait another 1000 years since I got all this free time on my hands." So yes death is like really important, but is it more important than life which without nothing would exist..?

Yah, but many people make death seem really bad. When someone you know dies yes it is sad at the moment. Though people forget that without death life would be useless. Yes it would be nice to see historic "legends" from the past. I think however death is equally as important as life. Imagine people not being able to die and all the aspects of immortality such as never growing really old, never having to worry about leaving your beloved ones and other such things. These things I mentioned would all be very nice, but imagine the pain and surfering that would result from this. People who have the intent on causing harm to others would never be able to be brought to justice. Yes we could contain people inside prisons, however since no one could die it would be useless. The prisons would over-populate without death and wouldnt be able to hold everyone thats a crimminal. Wars would follow and people would join up together to take over nations with force alone. Everyone would live in pain and surfering for all their life on Earth since they could not die. Litterally speaking it would be like hell on Earth.

Death is important, but I dont think its more important than life. Though I think they are both equal. Key word there is I think they are both equal. PS=Here's the real answer.There has to be life for death.So there for by choosing death your also choosing life.

A more challenging topic....would be to be or not to be....that is the true question.To exist or not to exist...... between death and life...llife is required to have death......so ultimately death is the answer regardless,and I hate to spit that view in like that..i know you lot were enjoying this topic...
