Still a way to cheat after a loss - Here is how they do it

To put it plainly, this kind of thing really pi$$es me off.

I thank TMyApp graciously for making it so that hosts can't close the game down when they are losing. Thanks TMy

although after I beat a top 5 ranker today (not mentioning names) and they won't know who I am because i used a different nick, they must have closed their game window straight after they lost.

I was then left with an annoying "Sync Lost" message on my screen (BEFORE IT HAD A CHANCE TO GET TO THE GAME OVER/RED COUNTDOWN SCREEN). After waiting a minute or 2 to see if it would go to "sync lost, you win in XX seconds" screen, I had no other option other than to close my own game window, which in effect nulled the game that was just played.

When i told the person afterwards they simply laughed at me.

Perhaps it could be rigged so that when a game is on the little "X" in the right hand corner is not there, or maybe when they click it, it first comes up with the "you will lose if you quit this game" message.

If nothing can be done, i'll live it, i suppose, but u can just see the frustration building up.

sometimes i win then my synchronization gets lost
that why "sync lost, waiting for other player"
not "sync lost, you win in 70 seconds"

that aint exactly a new way to cheat .... the game aint perfect u know and if it did say you win in XX seconds that means if u stay for the count u might get the points and the game might start workin..

yes this happens to the best of us, before when I was good they kept quitting and quitting it got really annoying so i stopped for awhile now I suck :angryfire: they should have it when you close the window you also lose the game. It's a cheap way not to lose it ruins the fun when you beat someone good :angry:

I hate this right when i beat the rank 1 player MURDER-D he quits and all i get is a sync lost screen then it goes to opponent left the game and i still cant quit without losing. . this sucks i could a had a way high rank. I wish there was a way i get the points

there is nothing that i or anyone can do...

if the "x" is not there, they can still end the task with ctr-alt-del... if that doesn't work (i would have to write some sorta virus to prevent that ?? lol ) ... they can just pull the plug on the computer...

if u can show me ONE game out there that solved this problem... let me know :biggrin:

A simple solution to this problem is to just give both of the fighters a win or give them a draw...

That seems pretty fair since theres nothing that can be done about it..

Instead of just sitting there waiting for the sync lost screen.

I hate the one that says sync lost with no timer under it

giving 2 wins is unacceptable--it would make the ranking system even more unreliable, to the point of total worthlessness. A draw is probably the best way to do it, but with the current coding, i believe that the match is nulled--the winner is the one who submits the score.

Perhaps there could be a system that tracks the number of sync losses each player has (only including those that occur at the end of the 2nd match), with a rating displayed upon challenging an opponent. That way, people could see that they are either very laggy, or cheaters.

why trying to make a game have no cheaters at all when you know it will simply be impossible ?

i hate cheaters as much as most of you all !
i hate them so much that when i play i try to be the fairest possible !
but be realistic... name me one game that doesn't have cheaters at all ?
all games have cheaters... this game isn't any different from others !
for my part, i just live with it, and i try not to play those same persons again !

maybe the only solution to this problem is a CHEATERS list !
on which cheaters that are found and made sure to be one. are inscribed on !

other then that...
i'm with TMYAPP !
nothing can be done to prevent them.

VIPER: even if you make something like that, another cheating way will be discovered at some point !
are you wanting tmyapp to actually work his ass once per two week to disable such cheats ?

i say, live with it... remember their names, and let them play alone !
