your right and wrong there. if storm/magneto/sentinel were playing hulk/juggernaut/zangheif/ryu/sakura/dan all together, they would all lose.

Personally, I think Roll is the best for combo's, at least for me. For one thing, since she is smaller, has a double jump, has arial(sp?) attacks, and has speed, she has a bit higher comboability then some characters. Although, most of her combo's are a little wierd, so I can't help you there. You just have to figure out a bit more about it. But, other than her, I choose Sakura, but since she isn't on, I choose Megaman.

roll's size is bad. she can get mowed down by traps, it makes it harder for u. sakura, she sux too. she has average combos. megaman is for n00bs. pressing hp all the time.

ken-try this combo: d+hp, sj hurricane kick (glitch) look at the life bar.

iron man infinite: lp,mp,lk,hp

best trap:
strider/doom- strider gets bar up faster then blinking. once u have this trap active, there is no stopping.

hmmm........the choices............i picked akuma because of the fact that im not too familiar with all the other characters on that list exept for spiderman, but i know akuma can kick his ass.

Believe it or not, but I did most combos using Ryu...

Sorry, but smart people don't get caught in traps. And just because Roll is small, doesn't mean she is bad. She happens to be one of my best characters in the game, especially since I have combo's for her. If you want I'll get you a list of combo's that I use. And Sakura is good as well. You just never used her correctly if you ever tried. I have a list for her too. And as for Megaman.... well, you are right, all you have to do is use hp, but still, I use his buster gun to block fireballs, and cause damage to dashers/lagged attackers. I'll post some combo's for each of the three. :hehe:

i know how to use roll correctly, and mega man too. but they take damage like hell, and once you get open to a trap/rushdown like storm/magneto, your dead in 2 rushdowns.

Um, you should probably just stick to using Megaman. Roll is easy to play with, and it's kinda hard to be trapped if you know what you are doing. Here are some combo's for Roll going from easiest to Hardest:
-Easy-
1: Activate Leaf Shield, Leaf Shot, Roll Buster
Does 9 hits

2: [Crouching] 1K, 1K, 2K xx Roll buster/Leaf Shield/Tornado hold
Does 4-11 hits

-Moderate-
3: Activate Leaf Shield, 1K, 2K (launcher), [super-jump] 1P, 1K, 1P, 1K, Leaf Shot
Does 6-13 hits

4: Jump-in 1P, 1K [land] 1P, 2K (launcher), [super-jump] 1P, 1K, 1P, 1K, Roll Buster
Does 9 hits

5: 1K, 2K, [super-jump], 1P, 1K, tap up, 1P, 1P xx Roll Buster
Does 7 hits, but must be done on a large opponent

-Complex-
6: *Hyper Roll Air Combo* (In corner) Activate Leaf Shield, 1K, 2K, [super jump] 1P, 1K xx Leaf Shot xx Hyper Roll
Does around 16 hits

7: [In air] Flower Bomb (make sure the flowers are going to fall on the opponent), 1P, [land] 1K, (flowers should hit at this time), 2K, [super jump], 1P, 1K, 1P, 1K xx Roll Buster
Does 9 hits

8: Activate Leaf Shield, 1K, 2K, [super-jump], 1P, 1K, 1P, tap up, 1P, 1K, 1P,
1K xx Leaf Shield
Does about 15 hits, but must be performed on a large opponent

Who knows, maybe you can use them, but if you can't avoid traps, then you are just food for the strong.

i dunno how you can avoid sprial/sentinel , doom/black heart traps with people who are short and die easily. what kind of traps do you play against in the arcade?

any way here is a megaman infinite:

j. lp,mp, (wk i don't remember, i don't use megaman) hp. land and repeat.


favorite traps:

spiral(knives, teleport)/sentinel(metal armor, mini-me's)

strider/doom- hell, there is no escape when done right. no openings. im serious.

I play against traps that include Cable's Viper Beam, Blackheart's Dark Thunder, Storm's Typhoon thing, Ryu's haduken, or Zangief's Lariet. I avoid them all with 1) super Jump, then jump when your at the peak of the super jump 2) Slide (d+2k) 3) BLOCK 4) never going into corners 5) having a good assist with you (such as megaman's Projectile assist which goes through most special attacks, and normal attacks) 6) Rush drill (duh!) 7) flower bomb the world, until it dies. That's usually how I avoid Traps with Roll. You see, unlike everyone else, Roll needs to be an evasive type of Character, and not to be used to go head on into battle. It just isn't right.

No they're very good players. I'm just better with Roll, because I spend most of my time playing as her, and getting better with her. And maybe if you actually PRACTICED with Roll, you could get better. :plain:

Roll's advantage is she is a small target. she can get mowed down by traps and easily get's dead. she cant do any combos, mostly because she isn't a character with flight mode. most of all HER RANGE IS FRIGGIN G@Y.

combos:10 and if there is anything over 10 , i would give it.

Magneto has the fastest dash in the game. he can get through traps easily (air dashing, and flight) and is real quick. his combos are very advanced, making him probobly the 2nd best behind storm. Magneto is a great battery for cable. when cable is out do this if ya did not know:

Jump high: hyper viper beam
jump: hyper viper beam
jump: hyper viper beam
jump: hyper viper beam
jump: hyper viper beam

cable also has an easy gaurd break, meaning you can't block or gaurd your self, and then your open for a hyper viper beam.

So? What's your point, that you think little of Roll? She has a 7 speed, size....yeah that's ok, power is more of 3.5, combos 6.5, life 4.3, battery is more like 7.5 (ever heard of flower bombs?).

Another character over-rating. His speed is NOT a 10 out of ten, if size didn't matter then why'd you judge Roll's, he doesn't have that much power, comboability definitely not that high, life..... I dunno, maybe a bit higher (7.5), battery is a bit overboard, as he cannot fill a bar in about 3 attacks.

Third, if you can do that combo, then I'm not really impressed. You are, after all, using characters that are used soooo much, that at least one of them is always in at least 9 out of 10 matches, so you aren't the first to try and pull that off on someone. And what do you mean by "getting out of doom/heart, heart/doom"?

yes indeedy fo sheezy, magz is over rated. speed is 10 , cause his dash is friggin fast, the fastest in the game. i like rool, servbot, megaman's size, infact that is theme team that i use once in ahwhile to play for fun, not to win. if you play to win, choose the top tier characters:

strider
doom
blackheart
iron man
sentinel
cable
magneto
storm
cyclops (AA is what he is mostly used for, he is a good last character)

+ many more i dont want to type. those are characters used in many tournaments. go to www.shoryuken.com and check out tournament results, u will allways see those characters in a top players team. i dont think any shoto but ken or roll/megaman/servbot is in any top players' team, or any player in tournaments!

Speed is judged by walking(or in this case hovering) speeds.

I play to win and have fun, and I use Roll as my main character a lot, and I still win.The top tier characters are usually characters that can perform distance attacks *coughcablecough*over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over (keep that going for about 99 seconds) and yet, somehow, that surprises me.

They are the only characters I have seen in a week. And it's no surprise to me that they win. Ahem, let's see how cheap we can get with cable shall we? let's see now.... Viper Beam x 5, Air Hyper Viper beam, repeat. Doom, he has that projectile attack that goes all over. People usually use Blackheart because his 2p and 2k are projectiles that stick to the opponent and drain their life away. Iron man is all projectiles, Sentinel is a big fat robot that uses other robots to attack as projectiles and it uses other projectiles to attack as well, Magneto: ahem... Gravity beam, combo-> hyper combo->repeat. Storm: Typhoon,tornado,her being an internal battery, and having full screen hypers= cheap Cyclops: come on. Aerial Hyper optic blast, Aerial Super optic blast, with those two, it's no wonder why people pick him a lot. People usually go for the least complicated people, or people they are familiar with because they are afraid of different attacks, buttons, speed, hypers, throws, and just about everything that has to do with the character. it's very very sad, and yet, I like beating those who choose Cable with teeny tiny Roll.

Lmao! i play to win too, i just need to learn how to do sent/mag/doom/storm/etc. infinites and combos...
i use guile, whos quick, powerful, defensive and offensive, if i can get near my opponent, they'd lose, but i cant stop ppl like sentinal with an antiair assist............ :dozingoff:

*Sigh* first and only person to use a team of under-appreciated characters in an unofficial tournament and win: me. What a surprise. :dozingoff: It only takes some practice. btw, you can use Blackheart's assists, but I prefer if you get some recovery assists, such as Roll, and Ruby Heart. But since you want to stop Sentinel, why not just super jump? He isn't exactly the fastest at jumping you know, and most Sentinel users tend to forget to block high. try this: Super Jump in, 1p->1p->*land*combo->launcher->air combo->double jump (if you have it) -> ***add to the air combo(if you could double jump) ->!Hyper!, repeat. That's how I stop most Cable users. If only they could see his vulnerability in his Hyper Viper Beam.

Oh... anti Air assist... try Ryu's Anti Air, or perhaps Tronne Bonne (if she has one). Or try, even, a different assist type! Such as Sakura's Dash type. But don't mind me, I'm just trying to help.... :sleeping: (and here's an infinite for SAKURA: Pop 'em up, 1p, 1k, 2p, 1k Shun Pu Kyaku, repeat. Note: YOU'VE GOTTA BE VERY FAST, and 2p is the strongest punch where as 1p is the weakest, but by pressing 1p twice (USLESS TIP COMING PEOPLE) you get the medium punch, but for now you use just 1p, 1k, 2p, and a 1k Shun Pu Kyaku....enjoy! I know I do...)
