I'm only here for one question. Who actually made the T-Virus and spread the plague that started Resident Evil? (Heh,im gonna have some good answers) I know why,i just want to see what you people know.

but i know this...

UMBRELLA CORP was making viruses testing and release a new virus, so they could make the almighty ANTI-VIRAL product to counter their own virus which would spread world wide and make them rich because they would sell anti-virus because the world would need it !

but it didn't gone well and the mansion was lost, tho it was found that the mansion and so many places int he world were selected as test environment !

- RE1 MANSION
- RE2 CITY (tho the G-VIRUS came into town by mistake)
- RE:SURVIVOR (another city far from racoon city)
- RE4 PRISON ISLAND

Umm sorry to disagree Karma you do have the right company but I think your reason is wrong

As far as I know the T Virus was supposed to be created for the government to use during war when they're soldiers were killed it would bring them back to life again so they could continue fighting but the formula didn't work out as planned cuz it had the side effect of making them into zombies. Hence why at the end of the movie people came in and grabbed the guy and the girl and stopped them from leaving with the antidote. The virus was spread when a rival company tried to steal it and it was spread throughout by rats who came in contact with it (shown before you beat RE2).
