I cant play the game - Help

ok so heres the deal i can practice and get into the servers , but i cant play! if i challene someone and they accept it just sits there with the "attempting to synchronize on port 1626"
message.and if i try 2 join a game it just says the game has been closed or started by the host.even when the game is new and they just popped up.if i make my own game it wont let people join.
so could a mod , vip or experienced member help me here???
im not a new bee so dont flam about me being unexperienced or spamming (o and the faq doesnt help either)

This happened to me too. Go to network settings and X the box next to "old connection mode." It worked for me after i saw the FAQ and nothing else worked.

i did the same thing dhalsim said but before i did that i had the "i am behind a firewall or proxy" button on with old connection mode....didnt let me in the servers anyway...

What version do you use internet, or downloaded version ???

I don't get much problems with the d/l version, it doesn't cause much of a headache to d/l. It's also faster to load :buttrock:
